We went to the Hoop Dee Doo last year on the DDP, at the 7:15pm sitting, and were in category 2/3 seating, and ended up on the balcony. It was actually a really good view, but we are contemplating sitting closer this time. We are going again in September 2008, and I see that if we go to the 9:30pm sitting, we can get category 1 seating on the DDP.

However, my question is in regards to transportation. Last year, we went via boat from Magic Kingdom to Fort Wilderness. However, I am worried that it will be too late once we leave the 9:30pm show to be able to catch the boat again, and that we may be stranded at Magic Kingdom with no way to get back to our hotel.

Is this likely to happen? Or will the boats and buses still be running after the late sitting. Would it be wise to perhaps book on an evening where EMH are happening at MK, rather than a day when it shuts at 10pm?

I think the busses run for quite a while after park closing. I can not remember if I heard 2 or 3 hours. I am not sure how long the HDD is I have never been.

A few years ago when we went they had busses waiting outside the show going directly to all the Disney hotels. I'm not sure if they still do that, but it would out great for us. Hopefully they still do that.

I didn't see any when we went, but that might be because we were at the earlier showing. But as far as I was aware, the Pioneer Hall is at the far end of FW, not where the buses initial drop you off. So if you come by bus, you have to catch the internal resort shuttles to get you up there. That's why we came by boat - because the boat stop is just by Pioneer Hall, and it's why we'd prefer to travel there and back via the boat again, but I don't know whether they will be running or not. I think the show is just under 2-hours.

They do have buses lined up after the 9:30 show to take you back to your resort. Have fun!

:)

Last March we went to the 9:30 show and when we got out there was a bus a few feet away waiting to take us to our resort.
