Hoop Dee Doo replacement

Hi all...just read that the HDDR will most likely be closed during our upcoming trip this August. We're staying at the WL and were planning on doing dinner at the HDDR on our arrival day. Any suggestions for a meal/event to replace it? This will be my 5 year old DD's first trip to WDW and I was hoping to do something special, but easy on our first night there. We do have park tickets available for that day and free dining. We already have ADRs for CRT on a different day...

The current rumor/news is that the refurb has been put off till Oct, so you should be safe booking in August. We went ahead and booked for Sept, hoping this is the correct info. If it ends up closing, Spirit of Aloha is another 2 TS dinner show, though not as cute as HDD. Or, I heard Cirque in DTD is great, but expensive.

Oooh...I hope that's true! My DD is a total ham and I know she would get a big kick out of the HDDR. Thanks for the other options!

Just got off the phone with Disney Dining...

It is closing 10/1 through the end of the year!

In FW, right next to Pioneer Hall (where HDDR is held) is Trails End...great buffet and cheapest on property....American cuisine...both breakfast and dinner are good, lunch not so much...we always stay at the WL and Trails End is a must for breakfast and dinner....and we pay out of pocket....pnoy rides for the children there...horse barn for the working horses....nice play area and quaint general store.....so nicely lighted and cozy in the evening and a great beach to catch the Electrical Water Parade..
