Staying at the Beach Club end of Aug/beginning Sept. I have a reservation at Hoop Dee Doo at 6:15, and I want to take a cab to save time.

Where would the cab drop us off? Would we need to take bus to Pioneer Hall from the drop off point? How much time would you allow? Thanks!!!

Yes you would need to take an internal Fort Wilderness bus from the cab drop off point at the front of the campground. It will make multiple stops along the way to Pioneer Hall.
Total trip - I would leave an hour or so

OP, We will be at Hoop Dee Doo tomorrow night. We always stay at the Swan. We take the bus to MK and take the boat over. Going that route, allow 1-1 1/2 hrs getting there. Afterwards, we will go back to MK for the MSEP & Wishes.

TC :cool1:

Cab won't get you right to Pioneer Hall. From where it drops you off, you'd still have to take a bus. There's no really quick way to get there. The most fun and convenient is probably taking the boat over from MK, but you have to get to MK.

Everyone has said it, Ill join in the fun. Cab and Uber aren't aas helpful. We tried the Uber once and it takes the same amount of time. Boat from MK is the way to go

Just a thought, it might not save time, but if you are at the Beach Club you could walk to the front of Epcot and take a bus directly to Fort Wilderness. I suppose you could even go to Hollywood Studios and get a bus from there too.

Not unless you actually enter Epcot.

You could, but you would still have to catch the internal bus at the Fort. The Hoop is at the other end of the campground. The boat from the MK drops you off right at the dock and you walk up to Pioneer Hall from there. And it's such a pretty and relaxing ride!

Is there anything to see in that area around pioneer hall to kill time if you're too early? Like the gift shop, food court etc? Never been to ft wilderness and it'll be our first at HDD.

Yes.
There's a gift shop, and a very nice large barn where the WDW horses are stabled.
Also, some traditional playground equipment for kids.

At if you are early, you can get a pony ride for $8. The Cinderella ponies are there (not a petting area anymore.) The pony rides on the normal ponies are $8. Say hi to Cookie and Nemo for me! Also, check out the lawnmower tree. It's nothing special, but it's been there pre-Disney. It's an old push style lawnmower that someone, long ago, left outside. A tree grew straight into it. Kinda cute, and reminds you to keep your lawn equipment inside! :)
Btw,ponies are cash only! And no reservations needed.

Sadly, the lawn mower tree died and was removed. It has been gone for five to ten years.

The cab won't save you any time.

Take the Magic Kingdom bus from The Beach Club and the Fort Wilderness boat from Magic Kingdom.:)
This is what we always do and will do in September. We are also staying at Beach Club, so bus to MK and boat to FW is easier for us. The boat drops off right near Pioneer Hall.

I would just take a bus to Magic Kingdom and then get on the boat. Very short walk to the HDDR from where the boat drops you off.
