After the show they have buses to transport you back to your hotel, so you don't have to backtrack on the boat again if you choose that route.
No.Do the boats run when it is storming? Just wondered because we have a 4:00 Hoop Dee Doo and I know it storms around that time , at least it did last year when we were there.
OK thanks good to know there will be buses.No.
If the boats are down, there will be buses available.
Is there anything to see in that area around pioneer hall to kill time if you're too early? Like the gift shop, food court etc? Never been to ft wilderness and it'll be our first at HDD.
Yes.
There's a gift shop, and a very nice large barn where the WDW horses are stabled.
Also, some traditional playground equipment for kids.
They also usually have the hula hoops and bean bag toss out there as well. If you go to the last show of the night, they have dedicated busses straight from Pioneer Hall direct to the resorts (unless you want to take the boat somewhere). I think they only have the buses for the second and third shows.
Just an FYI,unless things have changed very recently, they discontinued providing Resort buses after The Hoop and now just provide buses back to the MK Bus depot.
It was after September that they stopped the Resort buses and just took everyone to the MK Bus Depot to transfer to their respective Resort buses there. When we went to the 6:15 seating of HDDR in September 2015 there were buses back to the resorts afterward. You had to walk a short way to the pickup spot, but it was not far at all and the cast members directed everyone the right way. Don't know about resort buses for the first seating of the evening.
.I would allow 15 minutes for the boat to arrive(worst case) and 15 minutes for the trip. How long should you allow to take the boat from MK?

Unfortunately they have stopped the Resort buses and just offer buses to the Magic Kingdom Bus depot and folks are not happy about it.If you go to the last show of the night, they have dedicated busses straight from Pioneer Hall direct to the resorts
Not unless you actually enter Epcot.
That is what I meant by walk to the front of Epcot.
