Hoop Dee and Wilderness canyon

During the same trip, has anyone eaten at Hoop Dee Doo Review and Wilderness Canyon Cafe? If you did, did you feel that the food was very similar or different? I have ADR's for both for my March trip.

Hi! I have eaten at both. They are completely different. HDD is a show with food, and my family really enjoys the experience. The food is fine, but it is definitely not a reason to book the show. I liked the food in part, because I was judging the experience as a whole. I also ordered a big glass of Sangria to start the event off, so that probably helped. I know it didn't hurt.
I think I've eaten at Whispering Canyon at least twice. We always get the skillet. It's not fine dining either, but it's good. Sonny's BBQ is pretty common here in NW Florida. If you've ever eaten at a Sonny's, then you can compare that to WC.

We just did both and it was great. Very fun and very different for the kids. Have fun!

We almost always do both. The HDDR is fried chicken picnic'y kinda stuff and WCC is more BBQ-y kinda stuff. Though similar that's your difference. Both are good and both are tons of fun. Have a great time!

When ordering off the menu at WCC, if you order the skillet, chicken, BBQ ribs and brisket, this would be similiar to the HDDR, but if you order other meals (not the skillet ), this would be very different. To compare meals, I feel that the HDDR is very similiar to Mickeys BYBBQ.
