I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

What would be the best award tool for searching and alerts on domestic flights? I have the option for three airports and would like to do a search for all options at once.

Best card to erase travel purchases?
our Norway trip is not points/miles friendly.
All modes of transportation will be utilized; trains, ferries, planes, car rental. Plus not finding many hotels with points, even on the chase travel portal.

I don't know if it's the best, but I like seats.aero. If you have the US Bank Triple Cash biz, paying for pro qualifies for the $100 software subscription credit.

Does anyone have the WF autograph card? Looking for a new card but can't do chase biz since I just finished and am at my cc limit for Amex. Can't make a amex charge card biz spend.

Cap 1 still hates me and I don't want a cash back card. The WF looks good with the transfer partners it has.

I don't want an aa or Alaska card at the moment, ok enough with points there for the future. Not really sure what I'm doing after the abd next fall or what I'm doing before other than I have fnc and credits I need to use in the spring.

Virgin was really good to us. We had a tight connection at JFK so they moved me to upper class with my carryon and dd to premium for the last hour of our flight to get us off the flight first.
That's awesome that they did this for you. Did they proactively seek you out, or did you mention the tight connection to them? Either way, amazing service.

Are you saying you were a better baby than me?- A Faroe Islands Trip Report, August 2025

Just back from a pretty awesome trip to the Faroe Islands, which is located in the North Atlantic, just south of the arctic circle. One of our favorite destinations is Iceland, and the Faroe Islands come up a lot as a good secondary destination for those who love Iceland. Last October we scored great economy fares of $525 RT on IcelandAir Chicago-Reykjavik-Faroe Islands and I booked them through CSR's Travel portal for 35k points/pp RT.

Travel group: Myself and DH, 48, and kids: 12, 15 and 24 We first started having kids when we were super young, and had two in our twenties and two in our thirties and then dogs in forties, lol. So the gap between our oldest (27) and youngest is almost 16 years. And boy, do those older kids have A LOT to say about how they didn't have this or that, or weren't allowed to do xyz, compared to the younger kids. And they like to help parent them too 🙄 But, we love having such a big family and it is super special to travel together. We are super fortunate.

Anyway, Faroe Islands did not disappoint. Truly a hikers and photographer's paradise. We prepared for the worst weather wise, as it is typically cloudy, foggy, rainy and windy. And we had beautiful weather, even sun some days. Not a drop of rain. And our lodging was lovely. We stayed in two places that can be booked as AirBNBs, but we booked directly for better pricing and cancellation policies. These turf roofed cottages were really special, along a stream that turned into a waterfall into the ocean. And then here, at the foot of this mountain canyon on a bay.

At one point in the trip, when we are all crammed in one vehicle together, I heard, "Are you saying you were a better baby than me?" So parents, just when you think there's nothing left for your kids to fight about, even your adult kids, think again. 😂 Enjoy these times together, because they don't last forever, and I personally will be sad when they're gone.

If you've already been to Iceland, but also like dramatic views, charming towns and a coastal experience, definitely consider the Faroe Islands.

Hello all! I've never posted over here but I've lurked forever and read every page. We have a bit of spend coming up and need an MSR for DH. He has a few thousand AA points doing nothing, so thinking of maybe adding a card or 2 of theirs. Citi and/or Barclays. Can he hold both? Best to app at the same time? He's currently 2/24. 1 Citi card several years ago (closed) and pretty sure nothing from Barclays ever. Thank you all for your knowledge!
Welcome! You can hold both Citi and Barclays. I just did that earlier this year. I have the Barclays AAdvantage Aviator Red MC and the Citi AAdvantage Biz World Elite. I have read that two personal cards would also be allowed.

For those of you considering the safari next year, start monitoring flights now. I was able to snag 2 Premium seats on AF JFK to NBO for 130K + $643 in Aug. It's not lie flat, but I know I'll be very low on pts because I'm going to be scrounging for the Marriott pts and I also have a Europe trip in June. So this may be the best I can do. I'll continue to monitor for lie flat, but I figured premium was better than regular economy. Now I have to hope for a good deal on the return flight.

Not sure where you need to fly out of, but I am seeing biz class in early Aug ORD-AMS-NBO for 137k + $478/pp on KLM
EDIT: Seeing the same out of JFK, about 139k

just realized I'll be out of URs when I book my jfk-warsaw biz flight. the non stops can't be found via partner airlines! so DH (me) just referred myself for a quick INK. hopefully I can meet the spend immediately, get the points and transfer to my csr before the October change so they're worth 1.5 That'll be a help in replenishment!

I have 500k MRs I hope will help with fhr when the refresh comes in October. Right now I'm better off with Hiltons using my HH points.

They came up to us. We didn’t say anything. We had 100 minute connection and we were a little bit late leaving lhr. Honestly we had plenty of time but they went above and beyond to get us off the plane first. And upper class was so nice, even if only for an hour! Dd was upset I was in upper class and she was in premium economy.

I am going to apply for a new card today but can't decide what.

For southwest- am I correct that the elevated bonus earns the companion pass for next year? And then do you just book with points/the otjer person is free? We are the opposite of most people in that we will consider southwest more now that they do assigned seating.

If I did 2 chase cards can I do them 1 day apart or should I give more space? Also considering the elevated united biz and/or the hyatt biz.

OMG! OMG! OMG! Faroe Islands has been on my never ending bucket list for a long time. We were supposed to visit back in 2015. It was port stop with DCL on the new (back then) itinerary for the Frozen Norway cruise. Well before our sail date, DCL switched it to Iceland. It was still one of my all time favorite cruises. But here we are 10 years later and I still haven't manages to get this trip booked yet. Thank you for sharing the beautiful pictures! It sounds like a wonderful time with your family family was had. I really gotta get this back on the list.
