What time do you recommend arriving for cat. 2 HDDR seating made with DDDP?

The standard answer is usually 20 minutes before BUT consider transportation to Hoop Dee Doo if you're doing bus (you need to take 2, one internal and one external, very simple) it takes a good 45 minutes. Or get to MK(bus or mono) and take boat over, 2nd stop, which is a lovely ride and that too depends on how long from your "start" to MK. Boat ride is short.
At Campground area there is a store/gift shop/sundries, small game room, some wooden rockers on porch to relax and people watch so if you arrive a little too early you 'll have something to do. We always plan on an hour for transport to the area. Your seating is already reserved so really no rush, just check in and they'll get everyone in fairly quickly.

Thanks! We do plan on taking the boat from MK to FW, is the launch near where the launch is to the Poly or in a totally different place? Also, when everyone is let in to HDDR, is it a free for all for seats within your category, first come first served, or are seats pre-assigned?

No, they are preassigned, you give your name and they take you to your table. They do not open the doors until the time it starts, and there's alot of waiting in a long line if you get there much earlier than that. There's really no need to be there more than 15ish min. before it says it starts.
