Heading off to Disney World for our honeymoon, we did not book with Disney directly. Can we still expect some perks? Our travel agent did tell them it was our honeymoon and we will be wearing our buttons!:bride:

We got back from our honeymoon a month ago. We got A LOT of congratulations, like alllll day long! All the CMs seemed genuinely interesting in talking to us about our wedding. We had our buttons and I had on the bride ears the whole time. Other than that, once we got a card from our server at Sci-Fi and once we got a card and a free dessert from our server at Kona breakfast. That's it. Oh, and DH got free cookies from the Golden Oak Outpoast. But I wasn't really expeciting anything.

It was also the middle of July so maybe at times when it's less crowded, you will see more perks.

I know birthdays are a bit different, but we just got back from celebrating my birthday. I got lots of Happy Birthdays. I got a card in my hotel room and a card a Crystal Palalce (honestly imo Crystal Palace rocks at celebrations, they've always done something) We at there the night of our engagment and they made a big fuss over us.

If there is something you'd like to see happen. I'd suggest going ahead and planning it.

Yes, definitely go in with low expectations and then you'll be surprised if something does happen. There is a lot of anecdotal evidence this year that the What Will You Celebrate ad campaign is actually cutting down the amount of "pixie dust" that people get for celebrating a special occasion at Disney - because now everyone at Disney is celebrating something!

When we went for our anniversary a few months ago, we were sure to make a big obnoxious deal about our celebration - we wore hats, T-shirts, and pins, and we mentioned it to anyone who looked at as crosswise. :rotfl: So we had a lot of fun interactions with other guests and cast members, and any other pixie dust was a bonus!
