Hi, as you can tell, I've been trying to stay off the computer lately just in case someone should actually CALL me about me resume. I have added Diane's cell phone number on it now , and I'm turning blue from holding my breath so I'm not going to worry about tying up the line so much anymore.
So, once again, here I am trying to get caught up on my own trip report, please don't feel excluded If I don't mention you in a call out, even I haven't read them all yet.
I'm going to do the "mentions" off and on today and later. Then I'll get to the "unmentionables" after that. I hope to have a new chapter up tomorrow night. And Monica, I haven't forgotten about your signature and hyper link suggestions at all.
I'm just ignoring them.

Ah ha haha, if you could see the look on your face! No really, I just haven't had time to mess with it for now.

and....

I can't believe you finally saw her! And you took a digital photo! And you knew how to post it!!! Will wonders never cease?

:lmao: I loved that whole punny exchange! You outdid yourself that time!

And the MOTHER LOAD on the housekeeping cart reminded me of Diane going in search of a towel for me when they were all out at the quiet pool at POR. But we got BUSTED by mousekeeping!

Pass the Sunny D. Have a good weekend!

You know, I had forgotten about Diane leading you into her life of crime by the pool, now you know how I feel. And yes, Howdy is as creepy as they come!

I'm with you on the scary Howdy Doody! Maybe you could get a Chucky doll to keep it company.

You made me laugh out loud at Reptile dysfunction!

You'll be glad to know that I (we) made a decision on where to stay for the Dec. trip......offsite. I found a new 3 br/2 ba condo at Windsor Hills for $57 a night! :woohoo: :cool1:

wow, Hoogy finally made a decision! Sounds good to me. As for the doll thing, they DID have a doll very similar to Chucky, even before "Child's Play" came out, and my son Jeremy of course had one of them. It was called the "My Buddy" doll and I went into great detail of hiding it in the crawlspace in a previous report. Yes, I hated that thing too!

Out of all the gems in your udate that was my favorite!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
And I'm not sayin nothin about a certain line that could get you or me in trouble.:thumbsup2

Cheri, you do realize that it was you and probably LADYMAR that I was most worried about concerning that line. But you've kept to the high road, I'm proud of you.
So far.

Every time I read someone posting about finding Nemo, I get annoyed that they spelled it wrong. It's NEBO! Then have to remind myself that I live in a dfferent reality. Or is it? Well, whatever, it annoys me me when they say Nemo instead of Nebo.

Loved the gnues story. And I am NOT touching the other one..........

Marita, You'll be pleased to know I just saw a name on the trip boards by someone named Nemo, but I haven't read any of it. The other thing you don't want to touch? Well, it didn't want to be touched either.

crap I typed this funny a carp reply and Boom..my internet goes down.....

I shut down and my post is lost...

well lets just say that I havent seen hardly any bad gnus.....lately....but I have seen a snake....shed his skin!!!!!

and I asked you kindley not to mention my reptile dysfunction to any one...

but anyways...

Howdy doody....dude!!!

disneydad

:grouphug:

Hey Patrick, what's the idea of starting the manhattans without me?

I almost forgot...

It's Howdy Doody Time.
It's Howdy Doody Time.
Bob Smith and Howdy Do
Say Howdy Do to you.
Let's give a rousing cheer,
Cause Howdy Doody's here,
It's time to start the show,
So kids let's go!

:cool2:

Wow Janet, did you look that up or did you know it? I'm impressed at your totally useless knowledge extent. Now, if you can do "THe Funny Company..."

I just got back on the boards after a long hard year. Wanted to say hi.. and thanks for still making me laugh. You are both terrific.

I am better and get stronger daily.

Cant wait for your next installment.

Bee

Yay Bee, my little cornhusker is back! Great, be welcome, be wanted, and be amongst friends. Great to hear from you!

Coming out of lurkdom. Funny stuff. I love it all. Now, I just have to remember to not read at work so I don't get busted when I laugh out loud.

As for dolls, I know how you feel. We had these really frightening baby dolls on part of the set for Hello Dolly the last time I did it. I mentioned on headset how scary I thought they were. My run crew made me my own scary doll complete with red LED eyes that could turn on and off. Imagine the scream when they "presented" it to me by luring me into the completely dark backstage and turning on the eyes.

HI Stace, My Cat likes to play the same trick on me. I wake up in the middle of the night and sometimes she's lying on my chest, with just this green, snakelike slits glowing at me. Then I launch her across the room.

OK, I had an even better idea and more interactive too!

I message board! A thread on the Dis CB! Where people can post anytime. No training required!

What ya'll think?? Huh???

Say YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nebo, great to see you back :yay: Sorry about the job situation though. But Yay for the baby granddaughter princess:

FOr everybody else who had no idea what the heck the Funny COmpnay was....

The Funny Company, about an enterprising group of neighborhood kids, was barter syndicated for Mattel Toys beginning September 9, 1963. It was usually seen during local children's shows featuring a live host. Featured in middle of the 6 minute cartoons was a 2 minute live on film educational feature about various subjects, including science, nature, hobbies, folklore and how-to's. The executive producer was Ken Snyder in association with Charles B. Koren, the same Snyder-Koren that produced Roger Ramjet. The associate producer was Leo Salkin, and the animation producer was Sam Nicholson. A Funny Company Production.

Is this where I point out that in 1963 I was negatvie 4 years old:thumbsup2

Thanks for another great update, Nebo. I'm glad you got to see Devine, even if not reallu on the Dec. trip. I'm like you...I forget to actually look for her While we're in the park, and remember again as soon as we get back to the room.

Sorry to hear about the reptile Dysfunction...although I hate snakes, so I always try to avoid the guy with the snake.

Can't wait for t he next installment!!!

Boy, I can't wait for the next installment either. Let me know if you come up with anything funny, will you. I'll buy it from you. What was getting to be really creepy was the whole Devine thing, it was a complete mental block once we got to the park; we'd forget about her, and on the bus ride back I'd remember and know that I'm doomed to repeat it once again in the next trip report.

Right there with you on the creepy doll thing. If you go in the correct elevator on Tower of Terror, there's a ventriloquist's dummy sitting in the luggage area when you come down. Scariest part of the ride, in my book. And when I was a librarian in the public library, this one old lady kept asking me to go back to her house with her to see her antique doll collection.:scared1: Not on a dare!

I never knew that, thanks for the info, I can't wait to not see it next time I'm there.

Actually Bozo went national

:sing: Bo-zo Bo-zo always laughs, never frowns, Bo-zo Bo-zo Bo-O-Zo the clown!

but then again I knew who that Roy Croc fella was too, but who was this Walt guy whom you mentioned was born in Chicago (JUST KIDDING!! don't excomunicate me from Disney fandom!)

Cool, a new GUY! Nice to meetcha. Wanna go out and have a couple of beers? (I've had a shortage of guys here ever since Dismorgh went away to rehab and McDisney went into the witness protection program.) Join in anytime Brian.

I've seen this bridge a few times over the years, My favorite story about it isn't mine though it's one i heard form sombody on one of the many boards/groups i've read over the years, when their familly came upon the drawbridge up just as they were passing the China pavilion they came to a stop along with everyone else, after standing there a while there son (or daughter, I forget) looked up and asked "how much longer are we going to stand here looking at the great wall of China?"
:rotfl:

Wow! Another guy with the same name! That is a great China line, can I use it sometime?

You saw Devine?!!!

Congrats!:woohoo:[/QU Yeah, but now what? Now I have no reason in the world to go back to Disney, the Ark and the Holy Grail have been found, The great American novel has been written, we've achieved peace in the middle east and the Cubs have won the World Ser.......

yuck, yuck, yu....

Huh, and I always sing "Ty Tapenya"... :confused3

Ok, leave it to Jaime to give me a hard time on the lyrics. Tonight I am going to stick that sucker back in and see what comes up in close captioning.

I have to agree with Nebo about the Howdy Doody doll. He does sort of have that axe-murdering Chuckie look about him.

My childhood bedroom also had quite a collection of dolls. Evidently the various members of my family decided to immerse me in feminine toys with the hope that I'd stop being such a rough and rowdy tomboy. Since they were all gifts from various family members, I wasn't allowed to give them away. They always sat in certain spots around my room, but were never toys of choice for actual play. Each night before I went to bed, I always turned them around to face the wall or door. I just couldn't handle them looking at me.

Each morning my dad would come in and turn them back around. (At the time, I was a very early riser and was probably out eating my cereal and watching cartoons when he did it.) It always freaked me out when I'd come into my room to change and they all be facing out again.

I definitely can commiserate, Nebo. Dolls are freaky things.

Thank you once again for another heartwarming story Maraena. But I can totally picture it. I led a "doll" sheltered life when I was young, the only angst I got was from my sister's Barbie, but that was no big deal. I got more trouble from my sister, she'd beat the crap out of me every other day. But at least she didn't look like Chucky.

Diane, I couldn't agree with you more. There will be a next time it's just the when and where that we don't know yet. I've actually even been giving some thought to driving to Chi town, maybe for a long weekend if we can work it out.

Miss you.

Jill

Thanks Jill, hopefully some day not too far away.

I have been a lurker on all of your trip reports but I just finished this one and since it is only half written I thought I'd come out of lurkdom to write my support. I love your sense of humor and you are a terrific writer. Can't wait to read more - especially about your impending, possible move to Florida - a secret dream of mine as well :thumbsup2

Hi Monique? I've seen your name around before somewhere, must be from when you posted on a GOOD trip report. When we DO move down to Florida, just about anybody is welcome to stay with us for a cheap lodging. Sounds great to me and hopefully it will be at the place I was talking about. You will feel like you are in a resort itself! I'm already designing the labels for our "refillable mugs".

Coffee, manhattans, and of course,,,,,,,,,
Sunny D will be available.

I had to go back a few pages - just realized I missed an update.

"Or it's a Pigment of my Imagination. "

:rotfl:

DO you know what cracks me up? It's reading the posts that follow a chapter, and the things that folks find funny. Really. You can never tell what is going to get a laugh, and what isn't. Things that sometimes have me rolling on the floor get barely a mention, but then "Pigment",, ? Like I said, that's what makes this so fun.

:yay: Did you make a Bibbidy Boppity Boutique ADR yet:yay: :rolleyes1

UH OH

That's awesome news! Now you can start shopping. :cloud9:

Crap!

Congratulations, smidgy and Nebo!!! A little princess! princess: Disneyshopping is a wonderful thing! Trust me, little girls let you know exactly what they want, princess style.

Yep, I can see where this is going.

all you great people praying for Laura.. she is doing great. ultrasound shows... "It's a GIRL!!!" I am just tickled PINK!!!!!(pun intended!)
rotfl:

Put the checkbook down, and your hands against the wall.

Ribbons, and bows, and dresses! (oh my) princess:

Thanks a lot!

I see a vision of Nebo - wrapped around someone's little finger...:worship:

Congratulations guys. Little girls are sooooooo much more fun than little boys.

Ok, ok, I give up! Rhonda, I have a feeling you are probably correct on THIS issue. I can just picture my family standing on Main Street, me holding little 5 year old Kayli, and Diane holding her seven year old grandson Jackson, and just staring at THEM the whole time as we watch Wishes! siiiiigh,,,,

Congratulations!!!
You guys will have SO much fun!:cutie:

What nights are you free to babysit?

Aye! :yay: a bit concerned about his training though, on the other hand he seems to have picked up the digital camera stuff pretty well.

Hey, I thought you were off in hiding? But you're right, I haven't made blog in years, and the last time if came out too strong, even I couldn't drink it.

Someone may want to tell those two how to and where to make a BLOG...:lmao:

CONGRATULATIONS on the pending Granddaughter!!!!!

I haven't sent your print out yet and now I am happy I haven't....

...I see a trip to the local Disney Store in my future first~

btw...Nebo...Do we get another update soon? :rolleyes1

Yes Collie, tomorrow I hope, and, um, I don't suppose there is any way for any actual MONEY to be involved in this here "blog" thingy? I mean the incoming variety, not the outgoing type.

Congrats on the DGD to be!

YESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:teeth: :thumbsup2 :hippie: :surfweb: :wizard:

Nebo, does this mean they've picked out a name for DGD? Kayli? Very cute name and such a sweet picture of you and smidgy with the kiddos watching Wishes.

And I remember the My Buddy doll--my cousin (who's now 27) had one. It didn't look so diabolical.

There's a reason you don't have a job yet........

You're slated to start

Granddaddy Day Care!

I forgot to say that I'm all for a thread on the CB board when the TR is over!

Aye! :yay: a bit concerned about his training though, on the other hand he seems to have picked up the digital camera stuff pretty well.

You know, even though I Smarasped quoted from your post already, I had to re-read it. Uh huh, as I thought. I am this nevo guy you speak of in the third person, and the "training" is going quite well, I "poopied on the potty" for the first time yesterday.

I love it ...so I think the eyes have it!!!!

:thumbsup2

Uh oh, if it comes down to eyes, I'm dead meat.

Howdy I knew..BTW Der to sing it to you;)

The Funny Company:confused3

You are very strange, Howdy is older then the Funny Company, but I'm sure thats a local thing.

:scratchin Ya know....if ya put your email addy on your resume you wouldn't HAVE to stay off the confuser! :)

Geesh! Of course my email addy is on it. Don't make me come over there!

Little girls are very special. Congratulations Diane. Steve too.

Wow! Steve too. Now I'm an afterthought. I just knew she'd get mad at me if I didn't take her up on the hyperlink offer.

OK, I had an even better idea and more interactive too!

I message board! A thread on the Dis CB! Where people can post anytime. No training required!

What ya'll think?? Huh???

Say YESS!!!!!!!!!!!!

:

Um, no. I'm assuming when you say CB, you aren't talking about a trucker's Citizen Band radio, but the Community Board. Sorry, I seldom go over there. You can go from the first page to the third page in 2 hours over there, and when you are still on dial up? Uh uh. I saw what happened to Disneydad over there, now he is just a shell of his former self. He hangs around in coffee shops, goes to 6 Flags, is voting for Hillary, and was even seen rooting for the Cubs. No, I have enough problems.

FOr everybody else who had no idea what the heck the Funny COmpnay was....

Does this make us siblings?
