It is time for DS and DD13 to be getting home from school
and we haven't even got all the "stuff" we bought put away yet.

DH is busy coloring on his new golf balls with permanent marker
to make them easier to find........
yes, this means that he is not such a great golfer...

:rotfl:

I was reading all the AK menus on all ears
trying to find a good place for the finicky was40 kids

nothing excites me

we did restarauntasaurus breakfast buffet (but somethow the menu looks different now!)
DD10 will want mcd's chix and fries over any real food offerings

Did your kids eat well at Tusker House or Yak and Yeki, PAD?
are your kids picky to begin with?

DS will eat anything, and the leftovers of whatever anyone else orders, but the girls are fussy

We did Tusker House for breakfast -- didn't try Y&Y-- my kids are so, so -- we can usually find something for them to eat

Is anyone going to see Night at the Museum?
It looks very funny.

we loved the first one. ::yes::

I had to make the
"bring an adult" rule for this family

older child is needy to the max
and seemed to be living with me

she is famous for saying things like
"I can stay for lunch"
"Can I have a popsicle"
"I would love to have a sleepover with DD10"
"My mom says I can stay until 9PM"

DS (7) has one of those --- & he's only 6

I'm gonna have to leave you hangin' PAD
my eyes are droopy

(not to be confused with Judi's weepy eye)

must rest up for influx of family members tomorrow:rotfl:

Thanks Snow, the menu looked very similar to the Restaurantasaurus one, and we enjoyed it (but reading it now, it doesn't seem like the food we actually ate...)

DH just lectured me that my budget friendly method of ADR making was not to his liking. I schedule late breakfasts to be "brunch", and he says he LOVES breakfast, but would like it earlier. I tried to explain that this will cost more money, because my kids are not known for meal skippin', and he replied that he is willing to put his Disney gift card (from the new Disney Visa) toward feeding us.:rotfl2: tee hee hee

that's how I schedule too ::yes:: ('cept for the before MK opens ADR -- CP last year & Cindy's this year :cool1:)

What a sad, sad, sad, sad, sad, day in the was40 household

the DMV is CLOSED for the holiday!

TODAY

and MONDAY

DS is SO bummed!:sad2:

oh no!

Here is what I made today:
cold broccoli salad
hot wing dip
taco dip
crescent roll veggie pizza appetizer
baked ziti
plain pasta for the non sauce loving kids
pulled pork
and pulled pork with BBQ sauce (please everyone)
cheesy hashbrown potato casserole
washed and cut up veggies for veggie tray, and made dip
washed and cut up fruit for a fruit tray, still thinking about making fruit dip- I do a very easy one -- strawberry Cool whip, fluff & a bit of strawberry jam -- yummy & easy
turtle cookie bars (in the oven)
brownies to be made next...

everything is in foil pans to slide right into the oven to bake tomrorow
ease of clean up after all the fun

yum! I will need recipes ::yes::

DS is at the game now
the game that he will not get to play in
because he missed Wednesday for work, oh well...

DH took him and stayed, he took Twilight to start reading:cool1:

DS12 showed no interest :confused3

DD13 made us breakfast casserole this morning

I said it can be a new tradition
her cooking for whoever's birthday it is
and anniversaries....

she was tickled that everyone liked her casserole
it had bread, eggs, milk, bacon and cheese
the bottom was like french toast, and the top got brown like grilled cheese

very nice tradition & I'll be needing that recipe too :goodvibes

the girls wanted to get ice cream last night
since DS and GF did

but DH's parents were here
so we didn't stop

I told them I would take them today
but just when we were gathering up our coins
the Good Humor truck came rolling by

so they opted to spend their money with him instead:banana:

we do not get an ice cream truck drive by (not that I'm complaining ) but I do find it very strange.........:confused3

Was40
Don't think I've ever been called timid.:rotfl2: Just to much hassle reading every single quote, when it's only 2 people posting. Now someone catching up, is a whole nother story.

story of my life ;)

remember that friendship bread
that I had been making and fermenting forever

we finally got rid of the last of it

and didnt' my mother in law give me a new start yesterday

she said she wouldn't mind if I just tossed it
but it was too late
DD10 saw it and did the "i love friendship bread" happy dance:dance3:

:rotfl: I haven't done one of those in forever --- no - I do not want a virtual one of those!

ribs, steaks, sausage, burgers, hotdogs Mom will be set for a week. Freeze and eat.

::yes:: we have lots of leftovers too

Do they have a solar cover? A few warm days will make a big difference!

silly southerner  doesn't work that way up north ;)

He is making the rounds tonight. :teeth:

now I was just getting ready to go to bed!

Night Judi -- Dis has gotten WAY to SLOW---

Morning Sarah :goodvibes

I had a terrible time falling asleep last night/this morning.

At midnight, I put on a movie called No Reservations. I enjoyed it. Was over at 1:40, I went to bed at 2 and woke up at 5.

Can't wait to see how the day goes today!
