Homemade AUTOGRAPH books! Heres mine, lets see Yours :)

Great job ladies!!! :thumbsup2

I used to own a scrapbook store, and one of my favorite classes to teach was a Disney Autograph book. I have a couple of old ones I'm going to find and post the pictures. You have inspired me to get started on one for my trip in November.

Have a magical day!!

These are such great books! Tink76 - Any chance you would be will to share your digital page files? I know the character cards are available on here, but I don't think I have time to arrange them before my trip!

Great Job Everyone!!

I used the idea on here of the photobook and I used the autograph cards of the creative DISigns board. Thanks for all the ideas!

Thanks!
I did it through Artscow. I don't mind sharing the pages but I don't know if I can. I did it all on their website.

LOVE this! Can you tell me which disigner made the cards you used for your book?

posh*tots* resale...I've started printing out these same pages. I have a few questions for you if you don't mind. Where did you get them bound? What did you use for your covers? And last, how did you determine which pages to print?? They look great!

Thanks!

I just want to Thank you again for sharing this idea. I just got a free photobook offer from Shutterfly and making the digital book of my son last 4 trips to Disney. We can't wait for his fifth trip with an amazing signature book but I couldn't do a character per page b/c he has too many so I tried to do theme on each page (character meals...CP, CM, Tusker House character buffet, Hollywood and Vine, Cape May and CRT. Then 4 pages at each park...power ranger has one page, Epcot connection one page and characters from the differnt countries, then Toontown). I'm having so much fun doing this digital and I can't wait for my son to use it as an autograph book and its for free just have to pay shipping.:)

No problem!! I just think of it as autograph karma for all those poor people who were in waiting for the characters after us.

You can add extra pages to Shutterfly photo books. It was so hard to narrow down the pics I wanted to use, and I always add generic pages at the end of the book. I usually end up adding ten or so pages.

Have fun!!

Just wanted to say thank you to all of you for your tips and ideas! I just posted some personalized autograph books on Ebay. They turned out beautiful. My daughter wants everyone.... Not looking to retire making them, but doing it for the fun! Thanks again!!!!!

Snapfish has free shipping on photo books (of course, I ordered one yesterday...every dang time!!). Last time, I ordered one the day before Oprah gave them away for free.

Here is my version of the World Passport. I use picaboo for my digital books.

You get the idea...

The "postcards" were created by someone on the creative board. My daughter's name is on the cover under the swirl.

Do you remember who you got these from? I would love to use them! Thanks!

I love viewing eveyone's autograph books. I just started my permanent one for DD4 this summer (see link in my siggie for more pages "Wanna See an Autograph Book?"). I chose to do a 'scrapbook style' one...I'm leaving a space for the Character Signature and another spot for me to either journal or post a picture after the trip. Of course I'll take additional blank cards for those characters we meet that I didn't prepare a page for yet.

It's fun for me to do and I hope you enjoy, too!

this is amazing! Such talent. I hope you get all the autographs you're looking for.

Thanks! I figure it's a 'life-long' thing...never know who we're going to see but since we'll be using a stroller for the next 5-6 years it will be easy enough to bring the pages with us.

Hi all, great work here. I am currently working on 10 yes i said 10 Autograph books and Passport books, and I have been looking at all kinds of places for ideas and such, when I came across a site that sales homemade books and she had a statement on there that they won't let you use large markers to sign with around the characters. I have been hearing the opposite on this site that some of the characters like the big markers it is easier for them to hold onto, can someone let this crazy Gramma know if this is true. Just want to be prepared and I am a planner, just look how long it is until we are going, lol.
Thanks!

I'm not sure what she means about that. I've always used the thicker sharpies. I would think smaller would be more difficult for them to sign. Dunno.

I would use the clickable sharpies. That is what we used last time and am planning on using this next trip. Characters like the bigger pens beacuse they are easier to hold, especially those with big paws! ;) :goodvibes

Here are the ones I made for our trip last fall. I ended up stressed for time because Hurricane Ike hit 2 weeks before our trip and we were w/o electricity for 9 days. However, I was able to finish them barely!
DS - everything but Mickey was from my Cricut. I had trouble with Mickey since he was small so I just had to find a image to trim.

DD - everything from Cricut

THe pages were just plain white cardstock but there was plenty of room to put a picture either landscape or portrait along with the signature. I just made sure I told each character that I wanted room left for a signature.

Okay, and here are ours from our trip in January 08. I also made 3 others for my BFF's kids, but for some reason, I can't find those pictures and I know I scanned them. Anyway, I'll try to find them.

Here is DD's. The lettering and "autographs" on the back are from my cricut. The characters are cut outs. Since I was making 5 books, I told her that if she wanted all of the sensational six, that they would not be cricut. I also covered the book (approx 6x9 that I picked up from the Target $ section) in paper.

(I accidentally resized the back and couldn't get it back to the regular size)

Here is DS's. The lettering is cricut, the rest are stickers. Again, I covered the book in paper first. Obviously, this was prior to rewinding the book:

I have two of these for our trip this winter. Since we'll also be on the cruise, I wanted small compact books that were cute, but I didn't want to put too much time in them because I plan to just take the autograph and mat it with the picture in a scrapbook. So, I cut down the cover and binding of a larger book to the approx size of 4x5. Then, I covered the book in Mickey fabric. I also cut each page in various colors of cardstock, punched holes and rewound. I'll cross out the back of each page so I don't end up with autographs on both sides of one page. Then, we we return home, I'll just cut out the autograph and mat with picture.

Thanks for your replies, and I guess I was a bit confusing. She said markers were not allowed at all, so I was confused because I had read post about markers being used here. I had just read on here that larger markers were easier for some of the characters to sign with.:)

What can y'all tell me about the passport books.I would love to see what some of you have :)
Did someone say they had some that look like real passports made?
Please share if you don't mind.
We are going to Epcot for the first time with DD since she was 3 and thought a real looking passport would be fun for her to take around to have stamped.

THANKS :)
