Homemade AUTOGRAPH books! Heres mine, lets see Yours :)

What can y'all tell me about the passport books.I would love to see what some of you have :)
Did someone say they had some that look like real passports made?
Please share if you don't mind.
We are going to Epcot for the first time with DD since she was 3 and thought a real looking passport would be fun for her to take around to have stamped.

THANKS :)

The passport I made is post #117.

Disney sells a "generic" World Passport that does look and feel like a real passport. You can buy it pretty much anywhere in Epcot.

Thanks for your replies, and I guess I was a bit confusing. She said markers were not allowed at all, so I was confused because I had read post about markers being used here. I had just read on here that larger markers were easier for some of the characters to sign with.:)

When we went to six flags this summer they took the sharpies out of our bag, maybe she was thinking of six flags?

Love all the autograph books and styles -- keep them coming!

In May 08 (our last trip), we used the clickable Sharpies with no problems.

I didn't physically make DS's, but I digitally created it...

I made a photo book from pictures from DS's previous trip. He got ridiculous amounts of character interaction. I started to feel sorry for the people in line behind us because each character was enthralled with his autograph book. I tried to hurry things along, but the characters, handlers and even those poor people behind us were crazy about the idea! Meeko at AK took the book and walked away from the handler!! :lmao:

So, each character had his/her own page, and I made generic pages in the back for characters DS hadn't met. I already had books made for DS and DNiece for our September trip. :woohoo: DS loves to show off his book, and has taken it to show and tell a couple of times.

Here are a few characters perusing the book...Meeko loved the pic of Pocahontas, Alice pointed out all of her friends and Mary Poppins told DS how excited she was to be in the next book (since this was the first time he met her).

Now that is an absolutely awesome idea! I bet the characters loved it - they give so much more interaction and pixie dust when you make an effort :)

Thanks!! Yes, they absolutely loved it! I'm so excited for our upcoming trip because I made one for DS and DNiece. I can't wait for their character interactions!!:banana::banana:

Ok so I have this idea for the kid's autograph books, what I want to do is take coloring book pages and let the kids color them and then glue them to cardstock for the characters to sign. I figure that this a way for them to be personlized by the kids themseves. Any thoughts?:confused3

Why not print the coloring pages from the internet onto cardstock? I think gluing them has the possibility to look sloppy (depending on thickness of coloring pages and glue type).

I was going to print the pages onto card stock, and glue them to bigger cardstock pages so that the characters have room to sign and not have to sign on the pages.

Might be a little cumbersome to carry, but if you have a stroller, that opens a whole new world of possibilities. :rotfl: I might just bring a stroller even when the kids are teens!! :lmao:

I just finished mine last week! I'm so excited for Maddox to use it! Thanks so much for all of the great ideas and pics that I found from everyone who posted on here!:lovestruc
I purchased a photo album at Michaels, took the plastic pages out of and used them as a template for the signing pages. I used one character per page so that I could take a picture of Maddox with that particular character and place it on the opposite page of the autograph. I found clip art of each character and formatted and editted each one on Word, I then used "Word art" and used the curley lettering to type each name. Some of the images I found on the web would not let me edit them without putting a grey, green or blue background behind them , so for those I had to just print them on a seperate sheet and cut each one and glue them onto the sheet .... wayyyyyy too much work :goodvibes ! I took the screws out that was origianlly holding the photo pages in (they were'nt deep enough for the amount of pages I had) and used a colored ribbon so that I could adjust the tension in the book as needed or incase I need to take a page out or put one in. The cover is just stickers from Michaels. I used card stock (65 lb) for each page and scrapbook paper for the dividers. Thanks! April

::yes:: I will definitely have a stoller, my kids are only 4 and 5, so strollers are a must. Of course I too may just bring a stroller for years to come, I will have to find out when we go for our first trip.:rotfl:

Mine last year ended up big (see previous page w/Eeyore and Mickey on Train) and w/o my stroller, there is no way I would have attempted bringing them. Boy do those strollers come in handy!

ANyway, one of the princesses at CRT even made the comment "This has to be about the biggest autograph book I've ever seen!" Yes, it was big but I wanted room to mount the picture portrait or landscape and still have room for the signature. But, I won't be doing it again. Yes, it was cumbersome, even having a stroller!

That's why I like our photo books. Light and compact but showcases a ton of pics and cute little page layouts. :thumbsup2

I have Sharpie signed yearbooks from the late 80s/early 90s. They've done fine. Honestly, we'd probably lose the books in a move or something before the ink did anything to them. Unless, of course, Sharpie has decreased its quality over the years.

Did you have problems with the Sharpie's smearing at all?

Your adding old character pictures for the characters to sign? The signature doesn't match up with the current picture correct? Just wanting to make sure I understand things correctly. We love our Shutterfly photo books!! Your books look awesome...
