Lets stop here first for a couple of pints - its an authentic Irish Pub in the gaslamp district:

Totally I would definately go here if I were in San Diego for real.

But as an aside, doesn't it strike you as funny to go to an authentic Irish Pub in San Diego? It may just be me and come from working in Boston for so many years, but I just can't imagine going to a true pub in any place but Boston, Savannah, Georgia or Ireland. The owners better darn well have accents. Their food looks spectacular, though, and very authentic (which often don't go together in true Irish pubs).

I love the pubs in Boston, I haven't been to the ones in southie since before I got Married, but I have been in the Purple Shamrock, Black Rose and Hurrican O'Riellys lately.

And I asked the Capt to Hold the boat till the games over.

We ate regularly in the Kinsale - and don't get me started about the Black Rose. We rented out the upper floor many years in a row for a staff party when I worked on Beacon Hill.

Oooh, this is beautiful, (peering out window) but WHERE are we again??? :confused2
Poor Epcot, hobbles from bed and puts on a slinky red robe with Minnie Mouse slippers and shuffles out to look for other roomies. Hmmm.....it is mid afternoon and I suppose everyone is off having a great time exploring the beautiful new scenery. Oh well, nothing like room service! Wonder if Carlos is aboard??? Stumbles (in haste) heading back to cabin!!!

Goodmorning everyone. You will find me and Ed out by the pool having unseemingly early Margaritas. I spent the day yesterday exploring the casinos and learning how to windsurf again. I am a lobster today so if you don't see me by the pool look under the lumpy blanket with sunglasses.

IRL I did check out the casino - My DH and I got away alone for an afternoon and went down to Mohegan Sun - we are not gamblers actually but holy cow that place has really changed and is gorgeous. We ate at Todd English's new Restaurant, Tuscany. You get to the restaurant by going through a waterfall. The whole place is spectacular. we had drinks under the "stars" on top of the glowing Wombi Rock and then checked out all the different nightclubs (not open then but we checked them out) and made plans to stop back down again really soon possibly on Friday night for my birthday - which is Friday by the way. They also have a Michael Jordan's Steakhouse and Jasper White's Summer Shack. It is a great place for us to head down to for a dinner out which is wierd because we are not gamblers. Its about an hour away from our house and a direct route - easier than Boston to get to from here.

Castlegazer I found a spot for on the beach they said they will bring the margaritas to us, and we have one of those umbrellas so you can hide in the shade. Anyone else coming?

What did everyone bring for reading material for the cruise?

I am currently reading Nevada Barr's Flashback.

I am going to delve into Davinci Code as soon as I finish Flashback.

Not sure WHERE we're going, but I'm definitely tagging along. Never out of bed this early but someone made sure I was up before noon! As far as reading material goes, I have a stash of biographies I'm working on and the Davinci Code......really great reading!!! Makes you go, hmmmm!?!?! (IRL, my father-in-law was a bible historian and, believe me, we've heard all this stuff debated for years and years. Quite certain it will continue to be debated for many more to come!)

These guys came up to under my umbrella and invited me out to that yacht parked just a few feet off of the beach - I have been hanging out with them all day. They had TV's and Cervezas on the boat. While Momma always told me not to go off with strangers, they were soooo cuuuuute.

Anyways, off to change and get ready to get my name on the wall.
