Which is a better strategy to get a late morning Jedi Training time?

1. Arrive at rope drop by 8 or 8:15
2. Eat at Hollywood & Vine (8 am ADR) then one parent & sons run to sign-up after eating

We DO want to eat at Hollywood & Vine for either breakfast or lunch, so the ADR would not be made just for the purpose of Jedi Training. Just wondering if it would help.

We're going in about 3 weeks.

Probably should do #1 without having to get there @ 8:00. Because of the Frozen events, all guests are directed to the Hat stage to watch the morning opening. After that ends, everyone rushes to their first stop. A Hollywood & Vine breakfast won't give you an advantage.

I'd do option 1. The Breakfast at H&V is the standard disney Breakfast, Eggs, 3 type of pork, waffles, and bread. Really uninspired if you ask me. Lunch is better, unpopular opinion around here, but I kinda like the offerings at Lunch.

Plus you can get going and break at noon-ish.

We're doing the H&V 8:00 breakfast. Since we'll already be past the point where they'll be corraling people, we figure that we won't be caught in that crowd to get to JTA. I don't assume they'll let us leave the area of the restaurant until the welcome show is done, but they're pretty good at releasing the H&V guests from the area right as they start admitting other guests into the park (the H&V CMs allow guests to leave as soon as the call comes over the radio to start admitting guests through the tapstiles), so I assume the same process will hold true for the opening show. I guess we'll see. Worst case scenario is that we've started the day with a good breakfast and knocked three characters that our kids love off our to-do list. Best case scenario is that it works out how we hope it will.

BTW, we've had some great conversations with CMs while we wait for the call that they'll let us into the park from H&V. It's pretty cool how chatty they are when there aren't a lot of people around. On our last trip, we had a CM who'd been at the park since opening day, and he was telling us some great stories about the "good 'ole days" there.
