All these sugar cookie recipes make me smile! I love to make them! Here's a quick decorating tip if you don't have time to get fancy. Cut out your cookes, then sprinkle them with Jell-O powder (any flavor) before baking them. They are so good! My kids request this instead of frosting!

I can't remember if I posted this, but I mailed my package out on Saturday. It should be to it's destination shortly.

Meriweather - you made me smile when you said you have 3500 cookie recipes. Do you ever watch the Food Network? On the Pillsbury Bake-off Challenge show this week, the contestant who won also loves cookies. She has a blog where she showcases a new cookie recipe every day. She makes them, takes pictures of them, and writes about them. I wish I'd thought to get her address (but I'm not sure they ever said it). That sounds so cool!

I have had so much fun with this! I'm pretty new to exchanges, so now I have a better idea. I can't wait till next year. Like I said, I'm fairly new to cooking so now I'm starting to build my own collection. It'll be fun to spend the year trying out new recipes to share! Thanks for letting me be a part of this!

What a wonderful package I recieved today from you!

It contained Toll House Swirled Holiday Chips, Andes Peppermint Crunch Chips, and a pumpkin Bundt Cake mix in a cute fabric bag.

I saved the best part for last. Glynis put all of her recipes in a beautiful Debbie Mumm Deluxe Recipe binder which included 50 pages of recipe pages 3, magnets, 6 pocket dividers and matching notecards! How wonderful this is.

Not just any wallpaper, Debbie Mumm wallpaper. Yes, I have my house decorated in Debbie Mumm wallpaper and I love it so much I can't bear to take it down. There is just something about Debbie Mumm that I have always loved and now I have this wonderful book with all these wonderful extras.

Glad you like it! I included the peppermint chips because I had never seen them before, and thought they might be good in the fudge recipe. The pumpkin bundt mix came from a local mill. They do wonderful things, and I thought it would be a bit unique.

The recipes are all ones that are requested by my family from Thanksgiving through New Years! I like them because they are easy and taste good!

I'm so glad you like the binder! It just spoke to me when I saw it in the store. Guess I know why, now!

I got my package in the mail today. I sent it priority mail, DC. It is headed in a westerly direction and should arrive by the end of the week. :teeth:

When I got home this afternoon, I found a package from Colleen, mickeyfan2, waiting for me.

I got all kinds of goodies and a cute recipe booklet. You're so crafty, Colleen! I love how you put that together. Why can't I be this creative! The front of the booklet said, "From Our Home to Yours". Inside are the following recipes:

Italian Wedding Soup. Yummy. Now, I have a question - it calls for a can of College Inn Chicken Soup. We don't have that brand around here. Is this the same as chicken broth? Can't wait to try it.

Central Italian Sauce. Mmmmmm.

Meatballs - for the sauce. Another question - it calls for 2lbs of 85% lean ground beef and 1 ob. 80% lean ground beef. I'm assuming that ob. is supposed to be lb. right? :teeth: I know what I'm going to have for dinner Thursday night!

Tuna-Rice Pie. I think I'm gonna like this!

Grandma's Apple Cake - I know I'm gonna like this! :thumbsup2

Baked Potato Chips - I've made fried potato chips before. This looks like a much healthier recipe! Thanks!

In addition, I got some fun extras:

Garlic Powder for the meatballs I'm cooking Thursday night

A cute daisy kitchen towel

A Pillsbury Halloween cookbook - I've already spotted a few things I want to make

A spaghetti fork - for Thursday night's dinner :)

Two YC Splash of Rain tarts
A YC Banana Nut Bread sampler candle
A YC ChristmasBerries sammpler candle
I'm going to keep these in my office. :thumbsup2

I also got something that looks really neat but I'm not sure what it is. It's really cute. Did you make it? What do I do with it? :teeth:

Thanks, Colleen, for the wonderful package! I can't wait to try these recipes and use all my goodies!

Can't wait to try this! I love to use royal icing and pipe it on...but don't always have time.

I am a flake! Life got in the way today and I never made it to the post office. I will be there first thing tomorrow and it will be going priority. Sorry! :guilty:
