Just wondering if anyone has stayed here recently, and how it was.
I'm sure it's fine for a one night stop before the cruise.
I did a search and found some older threads with some "not so good" opinions on the hotel.

Thanks in advance!!

we are staying there in December pre cruise, they suppossedly have done an extensive remodel so I am hoping it will be ok, will certainly post a report when we get back

AnnMorin - Any idea when the remodel was? We stayed there last April and I was disappointed. The bathroom was dirty, and the sheets were stained (ewwww...). We were in one of the rooms with a kid's area and the two beds in the "kid's suite" (not what I would call a suite) only had top sheets and no bottom sheet or mattress cover. We were up late and tired, so I just remade the bed so that my son could get to sleep. Also, there is a basketball goal in one of the tennis courts. The sign says that the court closes at 9pm and opens at 10 am. There were kids shooting hoops past midnight and then again at 7 in the morning. Calling the office to complain had no effect.

When I kindly and gently presented my concerns the next morning, they did reduce our bill by 30%. My kids loved the themed pool, but we had to leave early when the fire department evacuated a nearby building. (Due to a strong odor of "unspecific origin")

I'm not exactly excited about staying there again, but if a renovation means new sheets and no basketball, I might consider it for a 1 nighter to use the cool pool.

If you are talking about the Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach, DO NOT STAY HERE!! My bro and my SIL stayed there in Late June of 2004, and the A/C Broke, then they fixed it, then it broke again.
2 Nts with NO A/C in JUNE??? The Place is the MOST DISGUSTING PLACE I have ever seen in a LONG time.

My .02 cents worth== Stay at the Days Inn, it will be nicer...

The remodel was suppossed to be late summer early fall of this year. It was to be completed by the time we arrive in Dec 2004

That's good. I'd hate to think that we had experienced the post-remodel Holiday Inn! It does have a good location and a cool pool for the kids.

Have a great trip.
