Well, she did find some rooms at Coronado Springs on the hub, finally after a LOT of frustration and hunting. (From her description it sounds like that website has NEVER been run by Disney Ux - what a mess). They only had king bed regular and king bed business class available. We splurged and went business class and still booked our rooms for much less than we were paying to stay at POR. only downside is that we will have to get a rollaway for my brother and sister-CP's room because I think they would object to sharing a bed at this age! (They are 21 and 23.)

So if you're willing to switch from one moderate to another and a king bed is okay, check to see if CSR rooms are available. Max adults you can enter for it to show up is 2, though.

Is it just the month of December that makes it hard to find a room with discount? Hoping our dd will be able to book us one in March.

Thanks for the info! We would need two rooms instead of one in that case so I guess I will stick with POR. We didn't realize we needed to book early- had been told to wait. We got an AKL room a month out in July with high crowd levels- not sure why it's so hard now. Crowd levels are predicted to be 5's or lower. I think we will keep checking!

I don't think it's hard to get rooms most of the time- her friends have gotten mods at all different times......

I didn't even think about that. Just assumed she could take a bus to wherever she is working. She won't have a car and we weren't planning to either, but we could rent one while we are there. Don't know where she is working yet, only that is is full service food and beverage.

We just spent 11 days visiting our son- he had no problems getting to work from the resort. He was able to change at work so that was not a issue. We did not have a car to get him anywhere. He was also able to get to the resort from the commons as the cm buses go to all the resorts. There is an app they use for bus schedules.

Thanks for sharing that info. Glad you had a nice visit with your son and it worked out for him getting to work from the resort!
