I wish I could explain how to post pictures, but I'm not very computer savvy. All I know is that I copy and paste pictures by using Photobucket. I know, not much help!

When I scrolled down and saw the picture you posted with tinsel on the tree, I got all excited. I was thinking, "Yay, I'm not the only one that likes tinsel on a Christmas tree. I'm not out of style!" Then I saw that the photo is from 1967. Love the picture! Henry has never bothered the tinsel. If he did, I'd certainly not decorate with it.

I love tinesl but the cat makes it dinner. Yea my moe cat has the mustache, he has one long tooth that sticks out over his lip LOL. Tinsel ISNT out of style unless you have sassy cats!

Your home looks gorgeous!!! I loooove the garland everywhere!!! I would love to have this in our home but I am afraid that I would damage the walls. What did you use to hang it??? Did you decorate it yourself or did you buy it this way????

I agree! My problem is extension cords for the lights! Do you use battery operated? If so, where'd you purchase it?

Thanks for the compliment! No, it doesn't come decorated, I decorate it myself (it does comes pre-lit, though).

It's about this time every year I wonder if I want to go through all of the trouble of decorating (we won't even be home on Christmas), but then I look at the pictures and get excited about setting them up again.

To hang: I have very elaborate and thick moldings above the doors. I hammer 5 VERY SMALL nails straight down on the top of the molding with only about a quarter inch of nail showing above the wood. I leave the nails in all year and you can't see them (because they are on top of the thick molding). I wrap green floral wire around the garland that correspond to the 5 nails. I simply hoist the garland into place and wrap the floral wire around the nails a few times and they stay up with no problem.

In the kitchen I do hang the garland a little differently. I still use the tiny nails above the cabinets (and once again you can't see them because they are out of sight). But instead of floral wire I simply twist a branch of the greenery around the nail. The greenery is wired so it stays wrapped. The kitchen greener does NOT come lit, and it is the hardest to do, especially climbing all over the counters. After the lights I add the poinsettias, ivy, grapes, and three different types of glass balls, which requires many trips back and forth over my counters!

Ahh, extension chords. I use white extension chords, and once again the thick moldings and tiny nails help hide them. I make sure the plug from the lights is hidden in the garland. I then make sure the extension chord sits snug against the molding and use one or two the tiny nails to keep them in place.

Thank you! Not sure if anyone can tell, or if anyone remembers, but the inspiration for the living room tree and garland (I don't have a picture of the garland) are from the decorations from Disney's Boardwalk Resort from a few years ago. They had masses of glass ornaments on the trees and I tried to copy it.

...sure, no problem....

...don't pay no mind to all those people - they're my, uhhhhhhh, NEIGHBORS....yeah, that's it - my neighbors came over to check out my tree.... !!
