DH decided we should go to Disney over Christmas -- Dec. 22-28.
Nothing is booked yet. I'm a little skeptical because of the crowds.
I know ADR's will be hard to come by, but how difficult? Is there much of anything left on those dates? Is it likely Christmas is booked everywhere?
TIA.

Hi... well I would get on that phone and call and start booking my reservations. I have not gone at Christmas for years, but remember it being quite busy. So, plan it out, call and get whatever is available for your time frame..

Enjoy!!!!

We just decided to go 12/19-24, and called to make a few ADRs. There was almost nothing left, but we were able to get weird times. For example, lunch at sci-fi for 4 pm, dinner are Rose and Crown at 8:55. We booked a lunch at the Plaza for 12/24, and the CM was surprised at he number that were open there. Worth a try!

Thanks for the specifics.
Honestly, I'm not feeling so great about planning a Disney trip for Christmas so last minute (:rotfl: I know it is September, but everyone on the Dis knows that means last minute.;) ) Between ADR's and room availability, I don't like the just take anything idea. I kind of feel like scrapping the whole idea and concentrating on our June trip. I'd love to go at Christmas (our anniversary is Dec. 26 and we went to Disney on our honeymoon), but I needed more time for such a busy time. I guess we'll see...
Anyway, thanks again for sharing your experience.

I know what you mean, people are freaking me out with the talk of parks being so full that we couldn't get back in after naps (and my kids are too little not to have naps), but I've never been at Christmas, so I'm determined to have a good (if leisurely) time!

I tried to get ANYTING for CP Package Dec 4, 5 or 6 and there was nothing at any restaurnt on any Tier.

I know I was late making plans but I thought at least one table somewhere would be available.

Now I am wondering what I got myself into. Really do not enjoy high crowd levels.

This will be my third trip during Christmas time and yes, while the parks are more busy, the decorations, parades and other special shows really make it worth it. I could walk around World Showcase all day when it's set up for the holidays! Patience and flexibility makes the trip much more enjoyable.

As far as ADRs are concerned, call now. Try for what you want and put in what you can. Check back with them because people cancel and change plans all the time. I had to call back for a week before we got our reservation for Coral Reef. Hope it all works out for you!

Well, don't give up just yet. Go ahead and call WDW dining and just see what they have available on your dates. You may luck out and get some ADRs that you want.
