hojo on s. kirkman

Just got back from my 3 night stay at the hojo on south kirkman it is very close to Universal not too far from WDW. Looked great on the inter-net. Paid 48$ a night the room was a good size but needed to be updated. The web site showed a very nice and clean pool area. When I saw it my mouth droped to the ground! It also said it had a playground for the kids you had to get through the weeds to find it. I will never go by the web sites again. The rooms had the musty smell also but I guess for a 48$ hotel what are you gonna get?? I will stay onsite for now on!!!!

I would have left....For $48 a night in Orlando you can do better.

I would contact HOJO headquarters and let them know you felt deceived by the website.

Sorry to hear it turned out so badly.. However, shunning ALL off-site accomodations because of one bad experience isn't very logical either.. Rather than choose a hotel by what they look like on a web site, go with reccomendations from people on boards such as these..

Look at all the people who are staying (and have stayed) at the CY DTD for $20.03 a night! Or the folks who use HotelMartUSA and get really nice hotels for a quarter of the cost they would normally pay..

I know this is still fresh in your mind - and thus the gut reaction to never stay off-site again - by time will ease the pain and before you know it, you'll be scouring the boards again for "just the right place" - and this time, you'll FIND IT !!!
