HoJo Disney? Worth it to change??? Help!

This is my first Universal trip...and it was intended to be a Disney vacation only..but when I got the great kids ticket deal..we are only doing MK, then 5 days at US/IOA.
ANyone know how far my hotel Howard Johnson Disney is from Universal? How much are rooms onsite or closer??

At the very bottom of this page, you'll see the Hojo Plaza Resort. Rooms here are about $50, I've stayed a few times, but I've since moved up to the HGI which is my favorite right now since it is so new. Staying at the hotels directly across from USF will cost more, close to $100 a night, but may be worth it, you'll have to decide if you want to walk across the street, or drive over. Go on the hojo site and check out these locations
