Ho! Ho! Ho! Away we go - A Disney Christmas - 2/15 Dec TR final thoughts and FEB TR!

Wonderful pictures of the decorations and the gingerbread shack was adorable!!!!!

I can't believe the size of your tree. How you got all that and 13 bags and 4 of you into any car....wow. It is adorable!!!!!!!!!!

I'd probably have a table top tree and lights on the balcony and be lucky to lug that on the plane! How special to come back to your villa with your own tree and stockings. :thumbsup2

The stockings look darling in the kitchen, what a cute way to hang them.

I just love the beauty of the Beach Club decorated for Christmas! Does the lobby smell like gingerbread?

"Gingerbread shack" :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Your tree was very cute! I actually bought that Tink to go on the top of my tree this year -- she was quite the nice addition!

I just thought I'd share this with you. I'm at the computer preparing to get 4th July ADR's. While I am waiting I decide to check out the Dis for a while. I notice your Christams Trippie. I am so drawn in by your travel down to Disney that I actually miss the start of ADR time. Wow, it soundnail biting. I haven't even read anything more than your arrival at the Swan. Btw, I managed to get my July 4th ADR's despite being a little late to the party, so no harm. Now, I am going back to read on further. Thank you for such great writing.

Thanks for the trip "home" in pictures. How I love the BC! Super excited you are returning this summer!

Love your decorations - it all looks very festive!!

Your tree is soo adorable. I love all the different Disney ornaments and Tinker Bell on top is just too cute.

The carousel is amazing. I want to spend more time when we go this year looking at the different resorts Christmas decorations. We only saw the Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Grand Floridian two years ago.

Looking forward to your next update.

Erika

The Beach Club (& villas) looked great! As did your villa! I recognized that little guy peekig out of the stocking... Zach has that iguana webkinz too! Can't wait to see SAB!!

I think we were just a couple of doors down from you this past summer, we were on the 3rd floor too with that same view! I know what you mean about feeling a little cramped for space, Kidani is BIG, but I lovey my BC!:lovestruc
Thanks for the visit! I miss it so....
I was clueless about the shingles until you told me about them and then we never saw them.
Oh well, that's something to look forward to next year. Already making that list!

How funny! It was a great location I thought! Yes some seem bigger than others (DVC) but it isn't like you are spending countless hours inside!!!

The Shingles, I will take a photo of them! :thumbsup2

Love any sights of the Beach Club. We are so excited for our short stay there this summer!

Oh you and me both! We loved it this December, but think we will get the full effect this summer! :goodvibes

Subbing. Love it so far. I hated the snow that weekend. Stuck home for the weekend.:headache:

Yeah, it was a lot of snow! Fun at first... then... we were not here, so when we got back we only saw the remains and heard the stories!

AND I love your tree! I think it's wonderful that you were able to take such a nice sized one. Your Disney ornaments were perfect!
Were there lots of people with lighted balconies? That will have to be the way for us to go next year. We only have a teeny tiny tree.

Thanks! It was a 6 ft. tree -- my DH thought I was nuts, but it was a $25.00 special at Target!! It will need lots of extra branches and "pics" to fill it out some next year, the poor thing was a little thin :) I plan to decorate it down in my basement, and to keep it my "Disney" tree...

You do! It's actually a trip I've had in the works for a couple of months now, just my mom and I going for the Flower & Garden Festival. She has never been to WDW, so I'm sooooo excited to show her around! (I am feeling a little guilty about going without the kids though...) We'll be there May 1st-8th.

Love your pictures of the BC decorations - so pretty! I also think it's great that you could take such a big tree, one of the benefits of driving!

Oh how fun! I have never been during the Flower and Garden Festival and would love to some time! I hear you on the kids! It can be hard to justify going to Disney without them! DH won't go without them! The Auto Train or driving allows this opportunity to bring what you want, so when we switched from the AT to driving I told DH don't you think I am giving up my tree!!!

The Beach Club and Villas are so beautifully decorated!! :lovestruc I love all of the little details--Hidden Mickeys, starfish, etc. And your tree is so nice! I bought that same Tinkerbell tree topper this year!! Love all of your Disney ornaments and Mickey stockings!! :lovestruc

Thanks! I didn't have many Disney ornaments, that I brought -- I had some others that were on my tree at home, I only brought the little sets I had purchased last fall... The BC was really pretty for the holidays.

Well it wasnt 13 FULL sized pieces of luggage, just 13 pieces of STUFF that the Bell hop brought to the villa!!! bags and such. And we were snug in the car, but fortunately two of the four are little people!

I couldn't figure out WHERE to hang those dang stockings! But the knobs in the kitchen worked perfectly! This photo was from Christmas morning, b/c DS4's Iguana (that I got him at the AK) is peeking out!

It was very pretty and yes there is a smell of gbread spice, etc. I thought the Tink was cute too!!! :goodvibes

Oops!!! Well glad that you got your ADRs all the same!!! :rotfl: The DIS can definitely suck you in!!! Hey, 4th of July?? Great!!! We went for the 4th last summer! It was a blast! So much fun! Fireworks out of this world! Did you get some good ADRs??

Thanks for the trip "home" in pictures. How I love the BC! Super excited you are returning this summer!

HA! Yes we are excited to stay there this summer again too! It was fun doing Christmas at Disney!

Thanks! We had fun. I wanted to see more of the AK myself, but I just love the decorations, so that was a big draw for me... There is always next time!

The Beach Club (& villas) looked great! As did your villa! I recognized that little guy peekig out of the stocking... Zach has that iguana webkinz too! Can't wait to see SAB!!

Wow! Funny! It was a whim, I had a hunch he would like him... and he does! That Iguana ended up touring the MK with us on Christmas day!! :rotfl:

I missed that you started somehow!! I am looking forward to reading and catching up. Off to read...:surfweb:

I love seeing all the Christmas decor at the BC!! So nice. You WILL enjoy summer at BC. That's when we stayed there. SAB is just AWESOME in summer. We were there in August, so it was still really warm in the evenings too. We would go in the early evening when the pool was mostly in the shade (we are all so pale, I constantly have to worry about sunscreen). It was wonderful.

I thought about bringing our little Christmas tree for our Christmas vacation, but there was no way. I love how yours had Disney touches all over. So fun!

Oh the BC is just beautiful. I love the light, airy feel of the resort. And all of the decorations are wonderful! I love your room decorations. Now, I want to stay there. I feel a case of resortitis coming on

Are the rooms at BCV smaller than the other DVC resorts?

Can't wait for your SAB photos.

Super cute tree! :thumbsup2
Your villa looked so festive and pretty! You really brought the Christmas with you! :goodvibes
I will have to start thinking about my next trip....I don't like not having a trip planned when I have one coming up :sad2:....only 116 days :lmao: I still have to find a place to stay for our Saturday arrival in May. I feel homeless not knowing where I am staying  Probably offisite unless I get a good AP rate or maybe somewhere by DTD so that we can take advantage of that when we arrive. Going to be tricky seeing as I don't rent a car :confused3

Cool update and pics! We didn't get to go to the BC and I'm sorry we missed that carrousel! Your villa looks like home away from home!:cloud9:

Great BC pics! I loved seeing the carousel!! We went the first week of January in 2008 and stayed at BC. They still had all the decorations up but the carousel was gone. Maybe there is a shelf life on that gingerbread.:confused3 I love to see pics of it and dream of seeing it next year with my own eyes.:cool1:

Your tree is awesome!

Oh Thanks! Yes I remember your references to your TR and info about SAB and the BC! I think it will be great -- we are there for four nights right now, after we are at BLT for five. So it will be a nice combo of resorts we think! It was just a silly thing -- I really wanted to have a tree (I had a real one at home) so DH humored me!

HA! I love it. Resortitis!!! YES, BCV and VWL are about the same floorplan (I think BWV too) I don't know about SSR, but OKW is totally different, and I think AKV is too... Not sure why the floorplans are smaller but they are still lovely!
I will download my photos from the camera tomorrow! :thumbsup2

Super cute tree! :thumbsup2

Thank you! I had to bring Christmas with me, I would have missed it too much! Complete with cookies and eggnog I might add! We had that Christmas and Christmas eve!

HA! 116 days is going to FLY By! Well the Dolphin was a great one night spot! The rate was decent too, maybe there will be a good AP??!! I know the AP discount right now runs till June 6 or something like that... I am sure you will find something! Where are you staying for your trip in May?

HI! Thanks! I had to have a little Christmas with me!!! There is always going to be too much to see! I wanted to spend more time at Epcot! Next time!

Hi! Thanks! I don't know about the timelines for these things, but that is a drag that it was taken down! Gingerbread probably lasts a while... rock hard and all! I suspect Disney just doesn't want one holiday to linger before they get ready for the next! Glad you get to go see it next year! :thumbsup2

Stuff. Ok. I'm going to use that one next time! So jealous about being able to just toss everything in the car, that would be heavenly. If they had autotrain to LA from here I'd be all over it! But 21 hours of driving isn't worth it.

I'm here FINALLY on page 14 HOLY COW I'm so late to this party!! Okay well I'm going back to catch up on all the Holiday goodness just wanted you to know I showed up fashionably late LOL!!

I LOVE your tree! It makes it so special when you add those special touches! Im sure your adorable boys loved it too! Im soo excited to hear all about Christmas day at Disney. popcorn::
