History of DINGS Fares for Orlando

I can't remember a day without a ding either. Does anyone think they are phasing them out? The last 2 weeks the Ding fares have been pretty high. Right now I have a communication error with Ding. Anyone else?

I'm getting a communication error too....even my backdoor Ding has an unusual status...

I restarted my computer and it was fine.

Although I have been fortunate enough to have taken advantage of a great Ding fare a few weeks ago, I do not know much about the patterns. It seems very weird to not have anything at all today. Could it be that tomorrows specials are going to be too great that Dings wouldn't be worth publishing? Perhaps wishful thinking...

My Ding is still not working. Its not a communication error, I get the messages just fine, I just can't open them! Thank goodness I could check here for the fares, but what am I going to do if a good one comes up? Run to the library?

My complaint is also the internet rates. The really cheap ones are advertised for flights that are almost completely booked and come up as unavailable. Then, the flights that are not as full, the internet rate is higher by about $30 and available. WHy bother to even show an internet rate for a flight if it is not going to be available?

I hear what you are saying. Things have definately changed since last year. Last year we booked in March for our July trip. We got to rebook and had a credit because a week later they lowered the fares. We were able to get the flights we wanted too. This year we booked 2 weeks ago for our trip in August. I am not happy with either of our flights and I am keeping my eye out for them to lower the flights that we want to travel on. I will say though that with gas being so high I really can't complain too much. At least they are offering some savings, they also have to watch their bottem line which I understand.

I have a few questions about the ding fares and thought I'd ask here. Forgive me if this isn't the right place. I'm flying out on September 29 and returning October 7. When do ding fares start showing up for this time? I've seen some for the end of November but lately they've all been ending Sept. 24. Also is there any way to get ding fares sent to your cell phone or something? I almost never have computer access after about 5pm eastern so I'm worried I"ll miss out on what I'm looking for.

Thanks!!! I couldn't get the buf to orlando, since we are flying on a Saturday and it came up weekdays only from 9/1-9/24.

But....I did get our Orlando to Buffalo....we are coming back on a Thursday. So I grabbed the $57 one way fare!

Just have to hope for a weekend ding down. Although the flight I am watching is only $94 normally, so I still will be getting a decent fare. $153 round trip would be okay for me. Certainly beats the $287 we were going to pay on USAir.

But I will give it a while and hope for the ding!

Any DING's today for Orlando-Philadelphia for Sept 3rd (Sun)? I am at work so I can't get the DINGs. There was a Ding the other day but it was only Mon-Fri. If someone sees it today, could you please post.
