Hi Guys,

I remember when I was a kid there used to be shops that you could hire video cameras from to take on holiday with you. I know my uncle did it once. Does anyone know if these places still exist and if so, how much they'd charge for a two week hire? My sister was going to lend me her video camera but she's gone and broken it and I doubt she'll get around to having it fixed before we go!

We hired one for a Disney trip when we were kids from radio rentals - funny how all of those places have dissapeared from the high street!

The funny thing was I went round Dinsey for two weeks with the camera stuck on the end of my nose - came home with reels of tape - and we never watched any of them!!!

I also would recommend camcorder-hire co uk

Just remember to make sure you state you are taking the camera overseas. Some companies insurance won't cover you out of the country.

Also you might want to take a look online at some camcorders. I know sony does a very good basic camcorder for under £250 and it might not be that much more expensive than hiring one.

I never thought of hiring one, we have been thinking about buyin one as it would be great to have some video footage when we get back but the problem is that it seems a waste of money to pay just for 2 weeks.
