Hope Devon in doing okay. What a trooper getting stitches. Those types of calls from the sitter are always so scary. I use to work 45 minutes from home and know that feeling when you can't get there fast enouch.

I'm so jealous that you can add $$$ to your GC...we don't have a Disney Store near us, so my only option is to purchase them at $25 or $50 increments...I do have a few hidden away...but it would be so nice just to have one.

Hey Trish! Thanks so much! It was a long road and I am glead for it to be over!! I know I feel very lucky too to have a Disney store close by! Matter to fact I have 2 stores by me! It is definitely a great way to save for the trip that is for sure! Devon almost caught me adding $$$ to the card on Saturday too! Thank goodness he found something that caught his attention and he quick ran away while I was paying!

Enjoying your PTR. Just found it today and read the whole thing. Congrats on graduating grad school. Your little guy is adorable. I loved the pics of him dancing at the wedidng. You are lucky to have a Disney Store close by, the closest one to me is about 5 hours away. Can't wait to hear more.

Thanks so much! Devon is doing really well! I am taking him to get his stitches out on Thursday. My train ride is about 30 minutes... I was so anxious to get home that day! Felt like it was the longest ride of my life!

Hey Trace!!! Thanks so much! Girl tell me about it!!! My heart freaking STOPPED when I got that call! Thankfully after a few stitches he was good to go! Taking him on Thursday to get them out. Hey Hope!!! Yes, Devon is a Party Animal!!! I was a nervous wreck on the train home to get him the day of the accident, but luckily it was not too bad!!! I actually just took him to get his stitches out last night. He was a little scar, but hopefully it will fade with time!

Our Little UnExpected Trip Info:

Ok, so as promised, here is our August trip info. This was a totally unexpected trip and it all came about b/c my brother, Tim, had mentioned he wanted to go to Universal and Disney again… Well unfortunately by brother is in college, so him coming with us in December was not an option, so the wheels in my head started churning and I figured out a way to swing a long weekend in August for me, my brother and Devon!! Without further ado, here’s the plan!!!

We depart Philadelphia on Thursday 8/12 on a 7:10p flight to Orlando. We arrive at MCO around 9:30p. We are not checking baggage this trip, or at least I say that now! So the plan is to make a beeline to the Magical Express area and board the bus to All-Star Sports. I’m hoping that we will be checking into the resort by 10:30-11p at the latest. I requested a room in either the football or baseball section, so hopefully my request in granted!!! I definitely think it is possible to check in around 10:30, but this is based solely on the fact when we arrived to Orlando on our Sept. trip last year we arrived around the same time and we are at the resort within an hour. Since we are arriving so late, we will most likely grab a snack and explore the resort then head to bed for our fun filled day at MK!!!!

Friday 8/13- Today the plan is to head to MK. Devon and I are using our tickets that we got for volunteering for the Give a Day Get a Day promo. We were originally going to use the fastpass option for our December trip, but it is more economical to use them for this trip. There are evening EMH at MK this day so the park in open till 2am!!! Woo Hoo!!! We are super excited to see Summer Nightastic and the Main Street Electrical Parade! Anxious to ride Space since its been refurbed too!!

Saturday 8/14- Today is going to be a day of rest… Being that we are planning to be in MK till 2am, I figured we lay low today, relax and hang at the pool, maybe go play some mini golf or tour the Boardwalk area. My goal is to head to DTD around 5-5:30p, as we have 6:45pm dinner reservations at Raglan Road to celebrate my brother’s 21st Birthday!!! He is a huge Irish soccer fan, so I figured this would be the perfect place to go! We will most likely hang at DTD and do some shopping for the rest of the evening!

Sunday 8/15- Today in Universal/IOA day!!! I have to be honest we are the most excited about this b/c we are all huge Harry Potter fans!!! None of us have been here before so I definitely need to do some research to plot out our course! We are using Mears to shuttle us back and forth, and I have to tell you $18 a person is not to bad for round trip transfers. The goal is to be on the 9:05a shuttle to Universal and as far as coming back, I’m told I just have to call Mears 2 hours before we want to leave and they will give me a pick up time. Shuttles basically run at 15 pass every hour starting at 3pm to 2am!!! So depending on how we are feeling, we will most likely head over to City Walk to hang out.

Monday 8/16- Our plane departs at 9:37am so basically we really don’t have time for anything.

Well, there you have it… It’s a short trip, but at least we get a little dose of Disney Magic before December!

I hear you on the airfare!!! We actually got a really good deal on airfare for August for $170 round trip per person!!! If only I caould get airfare that cheap for our December trip... I can't find anything for less then $250 a person round trip at this point!!!

Oh I definitely will be taking tons of pictures of Harry!!!

Yeah, I totally see what you are saying, no point dishing out the dough for tickets if the kids are not interested in it!!! Devon has been asking to go since he saw that it was coming to universal so he is syked and loves HP.
