Just found your PTR...I, too am a single mom, and will be at WDW around the same dates:12/1-12/8. I just read that your plan...at least way back in the spring was to do DHS on Sat, 12/4 and AK, Sun 12/5...me too...so weird!!! I'm looking forward to reading about the rest of your plans!

I am so glad you got your airfare!! For me it always makes it so real...

So excited!!! I feel like a huge relief has been lifted from my shoulders now that the airfare is booked!!! Now all I have to do is pay off the stinking trip and it will feel REALLY REAL!!!

Oh, and I have to mention this b/c I know you will appreciate this... As I am typing this, Devon is in his room playing his PS3 and listening to his iPod singing "I Need You Now" by Lady A!!! I am cracking up right now!!!

haha, you have no idea. It's hard to believe I only have a couple weeks left of summer school then a week before our trip. We can't wait!

Congrats on booking your Dec. airfare. That is nice to have pretty much a full day on your last day.

I think I have a clue how you feel right now!!! I have to agree, this summer is going by so quickly! Before you know it it will be the middle of August! That's scary! I actually have a lot going on over the next few weeks, so I have a feeling time is going to fly, or well I am hoping it does!

Congrats on the airfare! I know what you mean about comparing vacations. We are leaving for New Mexico on Friday for 5 days, and I 'm a little irritated that I have to take 3 vacation days to use on something other than Disney

Hi there!!! Thanks for joining in the fun!!! I am going to check out your PTR as soon as I am done typing this! And yep, the itinerary that I posted back in the spring is still the plan! Hey Trish, it really is a huge relief to have our airfare booked! I have to say I didn't get our airfare for as cheap as I usually do, but I started getting nervous that if we waited any longer the prices would start going up!!! I definitely am happy with our flight times coming and going. They both pretty much give us 2 extra days in Disney!!!

And kids really do and say the darnness things! I love when Devon does or says something out of the blue crazy! All I can do is smile!

Your plans for your August trip sound great!!! I haven't been to Universal in so long that I have no idea whats even there now! I think I went to Universal when I was about 8 years old and we only went for 1 day! Can't remember much...too long ago!

You'll have to post pictures on here of Disney and Universal once you get back so we can see both!!! I can't wait to hear what you think of Raglan Road, too. I'm trying to read reviews on all of the DTD restaurants since I've never eaten at any except Earl of Sandwich. I really want to try Fulton's someday! I remember walking past Raglan Road on our DTD day & it looked really nice there & smelled yummy!

Hey Hope! I know I never been to Universal in Orlando... I been to the one in Hollywood, and have heard that the Orlando park is sooo much better so I am definitely looking forward to going there!

Oh don't you worry, I will definitely be posting a mini TR here when we get back! I'm anxious to try Raglan Road too! Only sit down place I have eaten at at DTD is Planet Holleywood. My brother is a huge fan of the Irish soccer
team and being that he is turning 21 at the end of this month, what better place to take him!!!

Yeah, definitely super excited that the Dec airfare is all booked! One less thing to worry about!

And yes, with this mini August trip trip happening, Devon will so not be expecting a Dec trip!!!

Alrighty… With my next Disney Trip just a little over three weeks away, I thought I give you a little update… This weekend, we did some shopping for the trip. Really didn’t need much, but Devon needed new Nike sandals (it’s just too HOT to wear sneakers in the summer at Disney) and I had to get some travel sized toiletries 3oz or less since I am attempting to NOT check any baggage this trip!!! I think I am going to do a trial packing run this weekend to see if I can really do it! LOL!!! I also added some $$$ to both of my Disney gift cards… I have one for each trip now and the gift card for December is already over $100!!! So looks like everything is coming together nicely for this little unplanned trip!!! I even wrote up my packing list!!!
Now all I need is for this trip to hurry up and get here!!!

In unrelated Disney News, Devon when off the high dive at the pool for the first time this weekend (Toni I have pics of it on facebook) and I also managed to buy pretty much all of Devon’s school supplies for the upcoming school year. Being that he goes to Catholic school he wears a uniform so now all I have to do is figure out what doesn’t fit him from last school year and buy him new school shoes and the boy is ready to start 3rd grade come September 8th!!! Geese, I can’t believe my baby is going to 3rd grade, it literally feels like yesterday that he went to Kindergarten!!! My how time flys!
