the plans sound great reese. I loved the hoop de do. I had taken a trip with my best friends when we graduated high school and we had the front table right off of the stage. It was awesome. My friend got picked to be the can can dancer. It was a highlight of our trip. I am thinking of doing it again during our next family trip that we are taking with my mom and dad. Its not until sometime in 2012 but why not plan ahead right?

Devon is so mad that he is not coming with me, but it is his weekend with this dad and its and adults only trip this weekend!!! 
We are going to Dollywood 2 days and it also has a waterpark attached so we will do that 1 day. We also are visiting an aquarium there. Horseback Riding (girls), golfing (guys), Mini Golfing, Wine tasting, and dinner at bubba gumps shrimp resturaunt, grilling, margarita's, and relaxing. We are going for 8days over the 4th of july. Hopefully we can catch fireworks somewhere too. We are also going trail walking in the state forrest which apparently grizzly bears live in.
You know us city girls are not exactly made for this stuff. Thats the only part of the trip im not jumping over. It should be fun and relaxing.
Congrats on the upgrade. AKL is on our list of places we want to eventually stay. For our trip in December, we're settling for an ADR there. 
BTW--I notices that you are from Philly--my dad grew up very close to there in Cherry Hill, NJ. We're up there a lot visiting my family and we're huge Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, and 76ers fans!!

Have you been to WDW during the holidays before??? It is absolutely breath taking!!! I just love it!!! It is by far my favorite time of the year to go!
I actually don't live too far from Cherry Hill... It is literally right over the bridge! I probably get there in under 20 minutes!!! I am so glad to see another Philly sports fan on here!!! We are die hards when it comes to the Eagles and Phillie, except for Devon, who for some ungodly reason loves the Yankees!!!
Hi everyone andto my latest trip report!!! My name is Reese and I had so much fun sharing all of my planning experiences here for my September 2009 trip, I decided that I just HAD to start my PTR for my upcoming December 2010 trip!!! So, without further ado, Lets get this partay started!!!
Let's start with how this trip came to be shall we? So, I have been lucky enough to take my son, Devon to Disney World every year since he has been 16 months old, and after our September 2009 trip, I told him that we were taking at least a year or two off from going to Disney so that I could 1). Save to buy a new house and 2). I have a very demanding job and knew that I would not be able to take a vacation this year until at least the end of November. Reason being I work in broadcast advertising and being that it is a political year, we are SUPER busy with races country wide and basically can not get time off until after the general election in Nov.
Anyway, in November 2009 Devon and I were at his school's Christmas bazaar with his friend Luciano and his mom Jenn and we started talking to another mom who was actually leaving for Disney the next day. Well, the wheels started turning and Jenn and I said that the next time one of us starts planning a trip to Disney that we let the other one know so that we can go together... See we are both single moms and have found that half way thru our trips to Disney that the kiddos started getting a little antsy not having another child to interact with. Well fast forward to February... Philly had just gotten hit with a snow storm that dropped over 3 feet of snow on us and we were bracing ourselves for round two which was expected to bring us another 2-3 feet!!!
