Hi all,
We just returned from a weekend in Hilton Head and I wanted to post 2 restaurant finds we came across. The first one was PJ's Deli across from the resort in Shelter Cove. We had lunch here and the sandwiches were great. My dh had a turkey sandwich on a pretzel bagel and he said it was one of the best he has had. I had the veggie/beef soup and a sample of brunswick stew...both very tasty. Our family of 4 ate for around $25. The second find was a place called Edible Pursuits. It is really a place locals visit more than tourists but it was a lot of fun and good food. We went for Sunday brunch. On the weekends, Chef Ray cooks all the food on an open grill, right in front of you, made just how you want it. This was alot of fun and definitely better than just sitting in a booth at IHOP. Along with the made to order foods, they had a buffet of meats, grits, potatoes, fruits and pastries. The cost was $6.95 per person, all you could eat... and believe me, Chef Ray did not want anyone leaving hungry. He was always coming over to see if we wanted him to make us something else. Another thing that was cool about the place is it is also a cooking school. They have classes throughout the week and the next time we go, I think I'll just have to make time to take the fondue class!!
Anyway, just wanted to do a quick post. As far as the room, we were in a studio and all was very clean. The only thing I could find wrong was a burned out bulb in the bathroom. I didn't bother to call about it because we were only there for 2 nights and only in the room during the evening.
