Hilton Head and non-DVC members???

Hi there! My DH and I are working on saving up money so that we can join DVC. We stayed in a one bedroom at SSR in December as non-members and loved it. We are thinking about a trip to Hilton Head with our kids this summer and I was wondering if Disney leaves a certain percentage of rooms available to non-members the way they do at the WDW vacation club resorts? Everything I have read says that Hilton Head is typically booked solid for the summer with a waiting list but I couldn't tell if that referred to the entire resort or only to the percentage of rooms that are allocated to vacation club members. Can someone tell me the number to call to book HH if you are not a member? Thanks!

Disney will always have some inventory at it's disposal from external trades as well as the 4% retained units that are not part of the DVC owner's inventory.

You would call CRO, just like any other non DVC Disney resort. 1-407-w-disney. Good luck.

Just got back from a 3 night stay as a non-member. We booked our rooms through Travelocity and they seemed to be the only online company with access to rooms after a fairly thorough search.

We stayed at Hilton Head for 5 days in July, as non-members. I called in May to add the trip, as a stop on the way home from our week at WDW. Give them a call, you will love it.

Becareful tho! We came home...and added on at HH.
