I just booked a 2-bdr at Hilton Grand at Seaworld for the last week of April. I don't see anything about this in discussions. Has anyone out there stayed at this Hilton? Any thoughts? Is it kid (3-yr old) friendly? Can you fish in the lake? Do you get a lot of sales pitch about timeshares? We are using a friend's time share so I hope we are bothered? And I really hope the rooms have balconies. It looks nice and sounds great but is it?
Does anyone know of any ticket deals at Sea World? Thanks;)

We own at Hilton's other property on International Drive.

If you are staying off of friends points, then I would think you don't have to listen to the time share lecture. Otherwise it is over an hour for the presentation that might result in a high pressure sales pitch.

I haven't stayed at the Sea World one, but it looks nice.

The other property is very kid friendly. The pool is really nice. At the one on IDrive they have screened in porches/balconies with a table set on them. Very nice if you don't want to deal with bugs.

Have a nice trip. We will be there 4/29-5/4:thumbsup2

Try searching this thread for HGVC (also try tripadvisor.com)
I have only stayed at the HGVC on I-Drive, but I have heard that the one at Sea World is very nice!
We used a friend's points, and the only "pitch" we received was a phone call inviting us to a free brunch and presentation, which we politely declined.
Try mousesavers.com for Sea World Ticket discounts.
Enjoy your trip!

We stayed there this past Sept. and really enjoyed it. We were in a 3BR on the top floor of the Pembroke Building. I would suggest a building near the main pool. The room was in great shape, spacious, a nice layout, and comfortable. We had dd4 and dd1 with us, plus my DM and DMIL and it worked out perfectly. They had a lot of nice activities for kids. My dd4 enjoyed the covered playground and pool a lot. I think you'll really enjoy it. We would go back if we found another amazing deal!

Here is a link to some pictures we took:

Okay, now I am really getting excited. I am going to start packing - I only have 5 weeks. Really - the pictures are great and the Hilton sounds like a good place. This will be my second time staying off-site and my kids would rather have the space of a condo then the magic. And it is so much more reasonable. Means we can eat more and play harder. Thanks for the comments.

We love staying on site, but we love the space of the off-site places like HGVC...you can't beat it. There is a nice Publix on I-drive not too far. We bought stuff for b'fast and snacks and even made cookies one night (the pre-made kind). I really liked the layout of HGVC and the 2nd bedroom had 2 beds which was nice. The 3rd BR was the "lockout" portion and had it's own mini-kitchen, balcony, etc. Perfect for my mother in law to have some privacy. I also loved that HGVC SW had a large dining table and high chair. We weren't in the room a ton, but the space is nice. And, the washer/dryer just totally spoils you! Have a great time!

We own at the Sea World one. I have tons of pics from my last stay there in August if you want to see them, send me a PM. I really like the SW location, but decided to try out the other one on I-Drive. SW is still close to everything. I would say in the middle of it all, but quiet enough to enjoy your vacation!

We will be there the same week as you :thumbsup2 We stayed at HGVC Sea World last April also and really liked it. It is kid friendly, lots of activities (see link below of their activity calendar). With a 2 br you will have a screened in balcony with table and chairs. The 1 br has them also. We will probably be running into each other and not even know it. :) I do not believe you can fish in the lake, I saw no one doing that while we were there, although when you walk out onto the pier thingy, you can see some fish in there. If you say no to the timeshare initially, they probably will not bother you again. We did that early in the week and received no more calls the rest of our stay.

When you bring up the activities schedule and print it out, the top half is upside down, I guess it was meant to be printed and folded, but the bottom half of the page actually lists the activity schedule. Hope you have a great time!
