Maybe not true. I could be wrong of course, but I really don't think Hillary is under the consideration for the VP slot. However, Obama is a smart man and he is well aware, much to his ego's chagrin, how popular Hillary is. Could he perhaps think that by having former President Clinton speak, just before the VP comes out, it will help to draw support from the Hillary supporters for his choice?

It would have been a blatant insult having Hillary speak at that time since many out there do want her as the VP choice. I could have sworn that I’ve read when Hillary is scheduled to speak and it’s not at the VP time slot.

Hillary is scheduled to speak on Tuesday, I think. But I just can't see Former President Clinton speaking just before (introducing?) another VP. The speech then will not focus on BO, so he would be drawing in her supporters.

My guess:They picked BC to speak before the VP because it will both

1)Give the Clintons 2 primetime slots
and
2)Force Bill to tow the party line and praise the non-Hillary VP choice

Both in an effort to get Hill's supporters who aren't backing Obama to do so.

You are probably right, but it does not matter anyway. Those HS who are going to vote for Obama have already decided to do so. Unless Hillary is on the ticket (and maybe even then) there is no swaying the others.

OT, but I just found about Edwards. I'm really disappointed. I guess I shouldn't be, politicians are dishonest, blah, blah bla....But the fact that Elizabeth is fighting for her life, and stress is one of the most damaging things for a Cancer patient.....

Also. he's been planning to run for president since the '04 elections. Everything he did since then was looking towards that goal.

Well, I was stupid believing what he said before, but I don't believe him now. If the affair is over, what business does he have seeing her and her baby?

I still think he had great ideas for the country. He was my second choice -far second, but still- after Hillary. I also admired him because in '04 he wanted to fight the election results, unlike Kerry.

US Law very clearly stipulates: “If only one parent was a US citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 16.”

Barack Obama’s father was not a US citizen, and Obama’s mother was only 18 when he was born, which means although she had been a US citizen for 10 years, his mother fails the test for being so for at least 5 years prior to Barack Obama’s birth.

In order for her child to have been a natural-born US citizen, his mother would have had to be 21 at the time of his birth.

There's still some questions that need to be answered by the forensic analysis - there's still more to come from him in a few days, I believe. Maybe this will force Obama to show his real birth certificate to the media like McCain had to.
