Thank you for this! I didn't know other states were in violation of the rules. Is anything being done about this? Any other news on this huge issue? I doubt it since they are Obama pushers.
SC, IA and NH should be punished also. Where's the justice in this? The DNC is pissing me off royally. Makes me want to jump ship and join the GOP this round.

I'm just not amused at all by what's been going on between the states, the DNC and the candidates. Just doesn't feel right to me...all of it.

How can they give the Edwards votes to anyone? They were for Edwards and yes he is out of it now but if they were votes for him they should stand as votes for him. I can't believe they gave them to someone else???

I didn't know any of this either.

I will say this. In the first Edwards campaign; the DNC wanted Kerry. They persuaded Wesley Clark to stay in until after VA so Edwards wouldn't win. Everyone knew it. Edwards could have won if Clark would have been allowed to leave when he wanted to. There were some things that we all felt "happened" with the VA vote, too. If the party picks someone, they will do what they can to make it happen. I do believe that.

Once Edwards conceded and backed Obama...Obama gets his pledged delegates...this has been like this for many moons...has nothing to do with Obama....or unfairness....just part of the process. :thumbsup2 If he had backed Hillary than they would have gone to her.

This makes me want to cry....:(

It is sad...but he still wont get my vote even if she were to beg me....he is to inexperienced and for sure am very leery of him.

As for her dropping out she is just suspending her campaign but not conceding...she will stay suspended just in case for some reason Obama gets hit with a bombshell(not literally) and the DNC calls her back.

I understand that part, but I thought she said they gave him the votes. That's what I am not getting. Unless I am confused...which wouldn't be the first time.

Yeah, Edwards does it this way too. It also gives them more influence at the convention if they retain their delegates.

Ok - call me crazy - but did "they" even do this to Ronald Reagan?

I've seen it done for Bush.....why aren't I surprised?

Let's get some good news back on this thread.

It's Not Over Until Someone Gets to 2118

BY TAYLOR MARSH

So I find it very curious, if not hopeful, that people actually think Hillary is dropping out tomorrow night. Obviously, it's the talking point Obama supporters want and are pushing. Trouble is it's not true. Clinton's speech tomorrow night will be a celebration of what she's done in this race, which is to finish it with more of the popular vote than any Democratic candidate in U.S. history. She's finishing strong, while Barack Obama is limping to the end.

Besides, people in Montana and South Dakota are about to vote.

American Research Group has some interesting pollling data:

Montana
Democrats May 31-June 1

Clinton 44%
Obama 48%
Undecided 8%
-------------------------
South Dakota
Democrats May 31-June 1

Clinton 60%
Obama 34%
Undecided 6%

Equally important, someone needs to get to 2118. That hasn't happened yet. Until it does this thing isn't over.

Oh, and guess what, superdelegates can have a come to Jesus, what are we about to do, Hillary is the strongest candidate so how can we nominate the guy who's losing contests and polling below her against John McCain moment. No superdelegate endorsement is set in stone.

Also, just saw this in Hot Topics. There's a matching fundraising drive in action right now for Hillary. Rodham44 will match what you give. Offer ends at midnight.

Love, love, love Taylor Marsh!

I love getting good news! :cool1:

Why are they making such a big deal over President Clinton saying "This may be my last day doing this" (campaigning)?

Of course this may be the last day. The primaries are virtually over. If Hillary isn't the nom it will have been the last day. If she's the nom he'll continue campaigning.....that's why he used the word may

Why the speculation over something so simple and clear? :confused3

Because it's the media. They want Obama, not Hillary. Twisting Bill Clinton's words serves their purpose.

Good morning!

I had to share this smiley I found.

Does it remind you of anyone?

I'm feeling ornery this morning!

Good article. By their sexist unfair treatment in this election, they’ve alienated a lot of women; especially older women that have had to work so hard to be treated at least half way fair by men in the work place and know what it was like when all they were expected to do – were ‘good’ for – was to stay at home and cook, clean and take care of the kids.

The media still refuses to acknowledge the sexism and bias they’ve helped to create in this election; Obama’s campaign won’t acknowledge it either. Obama’s campaign falsely accused the Clintons of racism, and that’s one thing I’m having trouble getting over. While there is racism out there, this race wasn’t about racism until Obama turned it into one. But people will discuss the ‘racism’ in this race all day long but refuse to acknowledge the sexism and the biased treatment of Hillary. And even if you attempt to bring up the sexism on this thread, you know an OS will soon follow trying to turn everything back to racism with total disregard about the sexism at play.

But we can’t expect the Obama campaign or supporters to acknowledge that this is a situation when Obama himself has made some nasty and extremely inappropriate remarks towards Hillary.

I understand that Senator Clinton periodically, when she’s feeling down, launches attacks as a way of trying to boost her appeal.
The default candidate for Democrats in this race was always going to be Hillary Clinton because she’s Hillary Clinton as oppose to Hillary Rodham..

Oh, and don’t forget him walking into his Iowa victory party to JZ’s “99 Problems”.

All of that was an attack on Hillary as a woman. The media and many of his supporters are worse. It’s really sad and he has lost some, probably a lot, of women votes out of it – but that was by his choice and how he’s chosen to ‘play the game’.

haha...did anyone else have the "Should Obama Quit the Race" banner ad at the bottom? :lmao:

What makes me mad is the inference I see lately that Hillary isn't anyone and shouldn't have run because she's just riding on Bill's coat tails. I never thought of it like that at all! I always saw two intelligent people who both hoped to be in public office and Bill just happened to go first.

Hillary can't catch a break with some people. :(
