OK DISUNC and JARNJ3, you guys have a great night. I'm off to bed. My employers actually expect me to stay awake and do work when I'm at work. :rolleyes1 So off to bed I go so I can stay awake tomorrow. Goodnight.

MIne too!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Only I am not suppose to be here tonight. BUT my boss forgot to tell me! He did let everyone else know that I have the night off!:confused3

Night!

Obama dont even have a platform. He has SLOGANS & MANTRA! But there is absolutely NO substance to any of his Slogans & Mantra!

Obama belongs on Madison Aveune designing Advertising Campaigns for Corporations, he does not even come close to being qualified for President.

now now you call people out for when they write opinions and not facts! Be careful now.

This is what Maureen Dowd thinks:

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/04/opinion/04dowd.html?ref=opinion

That is why people should be restricted from all this spin, or they should at least say things like, "it seems like"

DISUNC, you are on roll tonight!!!!

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :worship: :worship: :worship:

I AM STILL KVETCIN ABOUT THE '68 ELECTION!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I think you need a hug.

You are not alone....... Though - Hillary on the ticket would make it a slam dunk for me! C'mon people - 1st Woman VP? It would be AWESOME!!!!!

That sounds good. I'd like that. And a black man as president to boot. :thumbsup2

But I just don't know how I feel about him. :confused3 I've seen some things in the last couple of months that really frighten me. He's made too many bad judgement calls for my comfort. I need to get to know him a little bit better...and hopefully not see any more of the bad choices. I'm hoping that he can win me over by November.

And "fair and square" is debatable in MI, where Hillary was the only name on the ballot. She could have taken the high road and offered all of the "uncommitted" delegates to Obama. But she didn't -- she wanted zero for him. That was not a good strategic move. It made her look petty. But I understand she was trying anything to stay alive in the race. She is a politician, and they are not always at their best when the door is closing.

You have your facts all wrong! Whatever I bolded is wrong!

And i posted your whole post this time! So you cant say (just like a Obama supporter) that i quoted you out of context.

You're not even making sense at this point. You bolded this:

"If Hillary was the presumptive nominee and OS were bashing her about something like this, my comments would have been reversed."

What is your evidence that that is wrong? I hope you have stronger evidence for all of your other "facts."

The other part, regarding the possibility of Hillary offering Obama the uncommitted delegates in MI is just an opinion, so it is impossible for me to "have my facts all wrong" on this.

Edited to give DISUNC the benefit of the doubt on sleep-related issues!

That's uncalled for

It's a joke. I must have missed it when you chided DISUNC.

Edited to say I'm sorry if I offended you (or anybody). That was not my intention. I probably could have found a better way to express my shock at the way my post had been misinterpreted.

No double standard!

How many Clinton Supporters have continuosly said 'GD America" , and spoke violently against white people while the Clintons sat there for 20 years, and applauded this, and financially supported this individual?

How many Clinton supporters have been known to blow up federal buildings?

And if you find any, please answer how Many times have the Clintons denied ever knowing what these people did?

Do you have the inside scoop in Washington?
Do you know why Vernon Jordan, who was Bill Clinton's best friend is no longer by Bill Clinton's side?
Do you know why Clinton had a large portion of the black vote until Bill Clinton ran off his mouth in South Carolina?
Are you aware of some of her supporters and what the Clintons did for them in return?

Listen, I am not trying to be rude, but I think you are not being fair here. Lets try to eliminate the rhetoric.

I call out people who present opnions as if they are facts!:thumbsup2

Do people do that to you? You do the same thing all the time.

It seems like this article was a funny opinion!!!:thumbsup2 ;) :rotfl2:

That was my point!!!!!

When was the last time you got a good night's sleep?

In quite some time! Thank you for your concern.

Okay I was wrong with this one!

And "fair and square" is debatable in MI, where Hillary was the only name on the ballot

Fair & square is NOT debateable. There were rules & the DNC broke them, every step of the way. The DNC even said THEY broke the rules. Ickes who fought on behalf of Hillary, was one of the Arcitechs of these rules back in the 70's...and he told them they were wrong. They said...SO?!!!

Hillary was NOT the only name on the ballot in MI.

She could have taken the high road and offered all of the "uncommitted" delegates to Obama
It is NOT up to Hillary to give Obama anybody elses votes. What country do you live in?
It is not up to any candidateor any political body too EVER give away votes from one candidate to another.!!!!   That is communistic.

However the DNC did not see giving away votes that the people of MI voted for John Edwards and Hillary to Barak Obama.:furious: :furious: :furious:
That was DISGRACEFUL (diboard language being used here) and thoroughly unAmerican.

That was not a good strategic move.

That is the LAW!

It made her look petty.
Just to naive Obama supporters.

Thats what you & OTHER OS SAY. THAT IS NOT THE TRUTH.

No, THAT IS THE TRUTH. It was called Amendment One and had to do with the portability of Save Our Homes.

http://www.nbc15online.com/news/local/story.aspx?content_id=5df5f26c-cc9c-4c8a-b778-f921633eaf2c

However the DNC KNEW the uncommitted in MI was for Obama?????????:confused3

That was a compromise reached by the MI Democratic party and in no way shape or form made any difference to the fact the Hillary LOST. Did you get that: Hillary LOST.

If Obama had never been given those votes, Hillary would've LOST. Those votes made no difference. What part of that can't you understand?

Why did you ignore his question? Are you in FL, and if so, did you vote for Obama?

So, Obama basically won the nomination (whether it was fair is obviously debatable, but no one is contesting the fact that he won) and his supporters skedaddled to this thread to bash a woman who is no longer even a threat to them. What is going on? :confused3 I really don't remember this ever happening in political life. You don't see McCain supporters bashing Romney, do you? What make Hillary so special, that you guys can't even be gracious in victory?

LUVDUKE, You live in in Florida? Correct? Did you go vote that day just for the HOMESTEAD act and NOT click on Obamas name???????????????

As a matter of fact, I didn't click on Obama's name. I clicked on Kucinich's name. I personally know of 3 people who went in to vote solely for Amendment One and didn't bother making a primary selection because they knew it wouldn't count.

But, honestly, what is your point? The Florida Democratic party was told their delegates would not be seated if the primary was held early. Hillary's advisor, Harold Ickes, voted for not seating the Florida delegation. Hillary was fine and dandy with it until she realized she needed the votes.

You may be entitled to your opinion, but you are NOT entitled to your own facts.

This entire discussion is moot. It is over. Hillary LOST. No matter what gyrations you go through, that will not change.

Just to naive Obama supporters.

I apologize that I do not know how to use the partial quote feature of DIS, which left out my posts that you had quoted.

You read my post wrong. I did not say Hillary should give delegates to Obama -- you are right that she did not have that power. I said "offer." That is different. It would have been an olive branch, even if it had no teeth behind it. And then the party could have fought over the specifics. I think (opinion, not fact) that such a position by Hillary would have lowered the temperature of the MI debate a bit.

And then your "just to naive Obama supporters" comment is inaccurate. I was not an OS until late Tuesday night. Technically, I am just a "Presumptive Nominee Supporter." But I still thought at the time (opinion, not fact) that the party was asking for trouble if they would take a big state like MI and assign zero delegates to a top candidate like Obama. Especially when the candidates had agreed ahead of time that MI would be penalized.

Why did you ignore his question? Are you in FL, and if so, did you vote for Obama?

Ahhhh, because there was no question in the post I was answering?

And, no, I didn't vote for Obama in the Florida primary.

I don't see anyone acting like that - I guess it's in the eyes of the beholder. BTW, how do you accurately count the caucus states that did not release popular votes?

Please don't take offense - and let me say that I know the rules were in place before this primary season started - but the caucuses were the worst run elections ever held - and in my opinion - need to be ABOLISHED!!!!

You have a point - how do you accurately count the votes from those states? And the answer is - you can't - because they were completely UNORGANIZED, UNMANNED (or UNWOMANED lol) and potentially INACCURATE.

There were stories of no room at the inn - so people were writing their candidate choice on a piece of paper and leaving - maybe leaving 10 - 20 pieces of paper? Several participants of this thread have a story or two to tell about the caucuses. Not to mention that they "disenfranchise" voters who can't show up at a particular time .......... whereas primaries elections allow all day voting.......

The DNC needs to replace all caucuses with primaries - including Iowa!!! And they need to FIX Texas - who implores people to vote twice - once at the primary and once at a caucus? What is up with that!!??
