Hillary Supporters unite part 2; no bashing please

So, Obama basically won the nomination (whether it was fair is obviously debatable, but no one is contesting the fact that he won) and his supporters skedaddled to this thread to bash a woman who is no longer even a threat to them. What is going on? :confused3 I really don't remember this ever happening in political life. You don't see McCain supporters bashing Romney, do you? What make Hillary so special, that you guys can't even be gracious in victory?

Romney didn't act like a entitled sore loser. He exited the stage and didn't try to string it along. That's why no one bashed Romney or Huckabee for that matter. They had class.

Your candidate can't be gracious in defeat. She can't admit she lost. Her performance Tuesday was surreal and damned near pointed to questioning her sanity.

There's no reason why a grown woman needs 3-4 days to come to terms with the fact that she lost. Again, Hillary brings things down on herself. There's a reason why her negatives have always been high. Tuesday was the poster child for those negatiaves.

That was my point!!!!!

If I was Hillary this is what I would do.

Just show up at the first McCain/Obama debate. Then go out on stage, and stand behind Obama and just make silly faces behind his back everytime he talks, all night long!!!!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Please don't take offense - and let me say that I know the rules were in place before this primary season started - but the caucuses were the worst run elections ever held - and in my opinion - need to be ABOLISHED!!!!

You have a point - how do you accurately count the votes from those states? And the answer is - you can't - because they were completely UNORGANIZED, UNMANNED (or UNWOMANED lol) and potentially INACCURATE.

There were stories of no room at the inn - so people were writing their candidate choice on a piece of paper and leaving - maybe leaving 10 - 20 pieces of paper? Several participants of this thread have a story or two to tell about the caucuses. Not to mention that they "disenfranchise" voters who can't show up at a particular time .......... whereas primaries elections allow all day voting.......

The DNC needs to replace all caucuses with primaries - including Iowa!!! And they need to FIX Texas - who implores people to vote twice - once at the primary and once at a caucus? What is up with that!!??

Whether the caucuses need to be replaced is a discussion for another election. Rightly or wrongly, that's the system that was in place in 2008.

The fact is that Hillary had just as much of a chance to win those caucuses as every other candidate. She didn't. That's politics. Somebody wins and somebody loses.

The RNC is not bashing Ron Paul..AND HE IS STILL IN THE RACE!
Seems to me that the bashers are the ones with no class.

I can't speak for the OS or Hillary bashers -- they may not all be OS, some may be Republicans trying to stir things up.

I want to see an end to the undermining of Obama, since he is the party's (presumptive) nominee. I have occasionally read this thread for weeks, and sometimes it seemed like the name could be the "Obama Bashers Thread." That may not have been all due to HS, there were probably some OS and Republicans stirring things up. Some of the Obama bashing may just have been a response.

But Hillary herself has expressed her support for Obama, and I would like to see the HS refrain from weakening him before November.

I agree 100%. I couldn't figure out what was happening that night as Hillary was winning the popular vote, but the commentators were predicting that Obama would win the caucus.

Do you have the inside scoop in Washington?
Do you know why Vernon Jordan, who was Bill Clinton's best friend is no longer by Bill Clinton's side?
Do you know why Clinton had a large portion of the black vote until Bill Clinton ran off his mouth in South Carolina?
Are you aware of some of her supporters and what the Clintons did for them in return?

Listen, I am not trying to be rude, but I think you are not being fair here. Lets try to eliminate the rhetoric.

So you answer my questions with questions????????

Anyhow here go my answers
No
No
No, the majority of the black voters never voted for Hillary since the beginning of the primaries.
Dont know what you are referring too!:confused3

I am being very fair. Just stating some facts, not rhetoric. As you have above.

So than why are you still ragging on someone that has LOST...as you pointed out to us so many times....Get over it:confused3 We will continue to discuss Hillary for awhile in here however as long as Obama is in the race we will be discussing him....like it or not. And it wont always be pretty...and just because he is a DEM is not a reason to vote for him.

Sometimes I think your not happy unless you are miserable :rotfl2:

She dont have too...the GOP will gladly perform these duties! And it will be BRUTAL! OS dont know what the word ATTACK means just yet!

You are assuming that all HC supporters on this thread are Democrats. Some arent and have no ties to the DNC.

I have seen some Obama 'bashing", and even have provided some myself. So what?
But for the most part this thread is not about Obama bashing, it is a Hillary Support thread.
If and when Obama supporters come to it, and try to stir up trouble, or give wrong information, and wrong facts...We will respond.
Sometimes I think your not happy unless you are miserable :rotfl2:
Sadly that seems to be the whole DNC mantra these days.

That sounds good. I'd like that. And a black man as president to boot. :thumbsup2

But I just don't know how I feel about him. :confused3 I've seen some things in the last couple of months that really frighten me. He's made too many bad judgement calls for my comfort. I need to get to know him a little bit better...and hopefully not see any more of the bad choices. I'm hoping that he can win me over by November.

Same here. I have fellow dems at work practically begging me to vote for him (being the diehard democrat that I am) - but I am just not there yet.

I know I'm not voting for McCain - so its either stay home - or be persuaded. Having Hillary on the ticket would persuade me. I'm sure she'd be an active VP like Al Gore was... I am not pinning my hopes on this - as I've read too many "Obama needs to show who's boss by not selecting Hillary as VP" articles to believe he'd ever make that wise choice.

I still go back to - if Hillary were John - and the party were divided basically in half - John would be selected to bring the party together.....

Very good points.

This we agree 100% on. And I would be fine IF Obama won fair & square!
But he didnt, the Rules committe proved that to me.
IF the Democrat people voted for Obama, I would be fine with that scenario.
But they didnt.

However I still wouldnt vote for him in a GE.:scared1:

My problem is that OS thinks that winning the caucuses mean something in the GE! It Dont. The Caucuses provide only 3% of the GE vote.

http://www.talkleft.com/story/2008/6/2/12307/61275

If all 50 states were caucuses. And Obama won ever one...he would still get trounched in the GE!

That's uncalled for

Thats OK!

It's a joke. I must have missed it when you chided DISUNC.

Edited to say I'm sorry if I offended you (or anybody). That was not my intention. I probably could have found a better way to express my shock at the way my post had been misinterpreted.

I read it as a joke too!

:lmao: :lmao:

And shame on your boss! Good night!

Thats ok! They owe me soooooooo much time...that when I go to WDW for the first 2 weeks in July....I am not even taking a vacation day.
Its all comp time!!!!!:cool1:

Perhaps you missed my opening line -

Please don't take offense - and let me say that I know the rules were in place before this primary season started - but the caucuses were the worst run elections ever held - and in my opinion - need to be ABOLISHED!!!!

My response was in regards to Chobie's question on how do you accurately count the votes from the caucus states. I replied that you couldn't. I then gave an editorial comment on how "stupid" I thought caucuses were.

In no way - was I implying that they were to be negated for this election.

Fair enough.

I just want to reiterate - there are people out there who don't always vote party line.

I have an African American friend (woman) who is voting for McCain - as she can't stand Obama. I asked her how could she vote against the party - and she replied - I vote for the person - not the party.

Just wanted to state - there are people out there who do that......

I decided to delete the article.about the questionable Tape ..after posting it i decided it could cause to much debate and we have enough of that already in here :thumbsup2
