I lost my mind for about thirty second, I went to the Obama thread, then turned around quickly. I didn't realize they are they higher class of the democratic party. Wow, I feel so...blah now.

Okay, so I'd admit, I didn't read all of the pages, just the first and last one. But I wanted to put in my two cents worth. I plan to vote for Hillary for Pres. GO HILLARY!

Some of them go on and on about Hillary! I wish that I had that much time to constantly attack someone.

Many of them are very rational and articulate though. You just have to weed through the constant slams which is too much work IMO.

Oh I don't know, they started talking lattes and they were speaking my language. I am in the land that Starbucks built, or fueled. But they lost me on the white wine, I don't like wine much, prefer the girly fruity drinks with an umbrella in it.

This is my first venture into either the Obama or Hillary threads. I really, really don't care which one wins as long as McCain and fellow Reps don't. I'm frankly surprised to see so much in-fighting and bitterness between the two camps. After all, one side or the other will (hopefully) support the other in the big election. Mc Cain is NOT going to win. So far, only Hillary and Obama have been roughed up by the press. McCain is getting a free ride right now. But he'll have his turn.

I'm certainly not suggesting that the HS and OS drop the debate or that anyone pull out right now; I just hope we don't do too much damage to the Dem party in the meantime.

Why would he leave "of the United States" out!
Why would someone running for the President of the United States mis- quote the opening line of the US Consitution???...ALL while trying to cover their butt?

I like their Carmel Machalattas (???SP) Gimme WAWA coffee anyday!

All I know about wine is Red with meat, White with fish, ROSE with surf & turf! ...and its not proper to drink it while still in the paper bag , even with your pinky finger up!

I know that many of Obama's supporters are quite intelligent, articulate and don't feel the need to attack us. I just find it interesting that the ones that come here and complain about us are part of a thread that has many people doing the same thing in reverse. It's their thread. I don't really care what they say there. It's just interesting.

I read "Audacity of Hope" He really is an amazing writer and manages to play on every liberal feeling and dream I have ever had. However, I just don't believe he can do what he says. I also think he will be one of the most divisive presidents should he get elected.

GRANTHAM, Pennsylvania (CNN) — Minutes after Barack Obama tore into Hillary Clinton for criticizing his comments about some small-town Americans, the New York senator said again Sunday that those remarks about some could be seen as “elitist” and “patronizing.”

"But from my perspective the characterization of people in a way that really seemed to be elitist and out of touch is really something that we have to overcome," Clinton said at the Compassion Forum, airing on CNN.

"The Democratic Party, to be very blunt about it, has been viewed as a party that didn't understand and respect the values and the way of life of many of our fellow Americans," she said, adding that the fact that the comments came at a “closed door fundraiser in San Francisco” helped reinforce that impression.

She said that Obama was a good man, but compared him to unsuccessful Democratic candidates Al Gore and John Kerry.

"We had two very good men, and men of faith, run for president in 2000 and 2004. But large segments of the electorate concluded that they did not really understand, or relate to, or frankly respect their ways of life," said Clinton.

I think the last statement hits the nail on the head. The last election was decided by the Nascar Dads. They overwhelmingly did not "relate" to Gore or Kerry. Will that change with Obama?

And speaking of Obama - he's really upset with Hillary. I think he needs to get some thicker skin - especially if he wins the nomination:

"That's some politics being played by Hillary Clinton," he added. "When Hillary Clinton says I'm out of touch I just have to remind people of the track record." He then went on to attack her for "campaigning for NAFTA" for "a decade" during her husband's administration.

"This is the same person who says she's voting for the Colombia trade deal. [It] turns out that her top adviser, her top strategist was working for the Colombian government to get the bill passed!"

"Who do you think is out of touch?" he shouted. The room erupted with people shouting Clinton's name and even one "'what's her name' is!"

Obama's comments came just a short time after the two Democratic opponents shared a tarmac as they landed in Harrisburg and exited their planes almost simultaneously and only minutes before the pair were to take part in CNN's Compassion Forum.

This has been a concern of mine for a while. I decided to just ignore the angry people on the Obama side and stay over here for now. I got tired of the bickering and really see no other solution.

I read this sentance and when I got to the word better I read it as bitter...guess my brain is on a one tract mind after listening to it over and over on the news and reading it online
