Your opinion.

To just have tag bashing the opposing candidate rather than having a tag that supports your own, does not make you the picture of respectful discourse on the presidential election.

So, you would feel so :goodvibes about the con threads if many of them had those Wicked Witch Hillary tags?

There is no need for one. I don't feel that way about her. I can tell you right now, should Hillary get the nod, you will not see a tag line on my signature about her.

As for why I don't have a McCain one, I am getting to it. Don't you worry about it.

I personally think some of you con women are secretly hoping for Hillary to become president because part of you would like to see a woman POTUS. I know if a woman was running on the Republican side, there would be a small part of me that would hope she would win because I want my daughter to see a woman become president.

What's rude is your NoBama sign. Perhaps you would come off as respectful if you got rid of it.

Just curious but not being mean :flower3: ...why does it bother you for a Conservative to have such a sign? If it said no Billary which I have seen, I don't get offended. And have seen many liberals have that sign.

If a conservative has a sign ..Obama or Hillary...about one of the candidates that is not nasty than that does not bother me at all.

Only bothers me if a liberal had it. Like if I had that sign next to my Hillary sign..that would be rude. When we come to McCain and our nomination would you hesitate to put No McCain ony Obama ....I would not:thumbsup2 as long as it is not meant to hurt someone.

Again just asking more out of being curious....I have no problem with it upsetting you..well you know what I mean....I know you are very passionate about Obama. But remember it is on a conservative posters siggy.

No it would not...only if it was on a liberal/Obama poster that had it...that would bother me...or more confuse me. I have seen a few Obama supporters say...NO BILLARY...

when the Conservatives say it I expect it ...but when a liberal does i do not. :confused3 I

First of all, it doesn't bother me, they can put whatever they want in their signatures. I do find it hypocritical, though, to talk about being respectful to the other side when you have a tag that is meant soley to bash another candidate. The Nobama tags are not there out of respect for the other side. It's one thing to promote your own candidate, quite another to just be bashing the other one.

I'm not passionate about Obama, and have said that many times. I have repeated on this thread and others that I would happliy vote for Hillary and only slightly favor Obama. I don't post on either the liberal thread or the Obama thread anymore and have not for a while.

I'm willing to bet that if as many people who had the Nobama tags had those Hillary as the Wicket Witch tags, you would be offended.

You don't see that because you are passionate about Hillary.

Oh, so Cons are allowed to be nasty toward a candidate as long as it a Democratic candidate?

Well, its one thing to say you expect that from them, its quite another to keep oozing about  the con posters are when they are equally nasty at times, just not as much toward YOUR candidate.

And, I did find those Hillary Wicket Witch signs very offensive, I'm glad to see you are okay with them.

No it really does not bother me.....honestly :thumbsup2 Maybe because my DH is a REP :confused3 I have no problem with that just as I have no problem with my DH's views which are different than mine. Although this time around he will be voting for Hillary and not McCain. But would vote McCain if he felt that he was stronger on the economy and not speaking of 100 years Iraq.

He voted Bush I voted Kerry and we are still married :rotfl2: and a Bush fan I am not....he teases me everytime Bush is on and says" Robin your boy friend is on TV"...he knows a Bush fan i am not. They also know I am not a Bush fan or McCain fan in the liberal thread and have made that no secreat.

All hers says is NO Obama...not that he is the devil or anticrist or anything mean. Billary is not even mean.....The liberals are calling Hillary Pinnochio and showing her with a long nose and laughing about it. That bothers/confuses me because we are in the same party.

But there is nothing wrong with you feeling that way...and stating such:thumbsup2
so you go girl :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 you have to make your point heared because if you do not now one else will:thumbsup2

Wow - sorry to have gotten your thread hijacked by my mean NoBama siggy. I just wanted to say that I appreciate Hillary supporters behavior.

Chobie - So now I have a McCain one too, happy? And dont bother to reply because I am not going to take over the Hillary thread on how appropriate you think my tags are.

With all due respect, I think you are being a bit over sensative. "Nobama" isn't Bashing your candidate. It's simply saying no to a specific candidate. She's a republican and she's saying no to the opposition. Why is that surprising or offensive? It's not any more offensive then those of us with the W sticker with a line through. It's just a way of expressing their position.

Now if it said something that was a personal attack such as Obama's a racist or something like wicked witch, I'd agree with you 110%. That would be bashing. But a simple no to a candidate - I just don't see how that can logically be considered bashing.

And for the record, I would feel the same about the "No Billary" stickers.

So why would I not stand up for how I feel :confused3 And I am not ozzing over them:lmao:

Little things like signs don't bother me.....maybe because I have been involved in Politics for over 30 years and have ran across much worse. We are on political threads and at times we all say things that are against the other candidate...have you never said anything not nice about Bush ...I sure have...just ask my DH :rotfl2:

It really to me is no big deal. They have also never came here and said a word about Obama or Hillary ever. They have not even come here and joined in on our conversations about Obama.

Does it bother you that they are just conservatives and there views are so different or the sign? I totally disagree with most of there views....but also disagree with some of Obamas and Hillarys.

I am not being rude to you so please do not throw things like this at me:lovestruc and saying I am ozzing over them...I don't deserve that just because I have no problem with the other thread .

Also when they do say stuff they keep it in there thread as we do here. But the OS sure come over here and post there stuff here. That is waht should bother us. When going into the Cons. thread as going into the Obama thread I never expect to read anything that is going to benifit us.

If they come over here with a nasty attitude and bring along a mean nasty siggy than I will speak up. No dought about it.

Ya'll make sure you go over to your thread and tell all the folks how nice the "libruls" were to you. ;)
Hi Robin....That could be because there are no Hillary supporters in there. There are a few of you that will be happy with either getting the nod but are more welcome because you are OS first.
What is "OS first"? Nevermind. I figured it out. "Obama Supporter". Nope, not me. I voted for Hillary.

I'm not chobie, but I can answer your question about how I feel about connorlevismom "Nobama" picture in her signature. I think that it is disingenuous to talk about people "being so mature" and having a political conversation "without people coming in calling names and just well, being rude" when she has an immature and rude picture in her signature. Of course, if you don't think it's rude or immature, then I guess you wouldn't see the irony.

FWIW, I always put in my signature the things that I support, not things that I am against. For instance I would put this in my signature:

465430922_48e6436199.jpg

And not this:

As it would be rude and immature.

(My sincerest apologies to White Sox fans.)

Funny however how I have seen many Obama suporters bash Hillary with a no billary and Pinocchio pictures and such...but that seems to be okay and not just okay but laughed at by Obama supporters and not told to remove it by other Obama supporters that think it is rude and immiture :confused3

So why is it okay for a liberal to do it but terrible for a conservative poster to ? and if it is not okay than why has no one said that it is not exceptable in that thread!

Please point out where an Obama supporter came in here with an anti-Hillary banner?

I haven't seen it yet, which doesn't mean it didn't just get by me. So, please point it out. Thanks

I was wondering the same thing. I don't recall seeing one, but I just assumed that I missed it.

Exactly, thank you. Even if the Nobama is not bashing per se, it certainly is is not indicative of a person who "just talks about the issues" and all that other flowery stuff that was being attributed to the con posters. Being respectful and mature would be to just promote your own candidate without putting down the other. And yes, by saying Obama is a socialist that is an insult.

first of all it's not that offensive...my gosh...it's not like it had something derogatory on it....second of all the OS are the worse Hillary bashes on the board and second we don't come into your thread and try to start arguments. Have you seen one of us come in there and talk about the no Biliary posted otr the new picture of Hillary that you are all laughing at.

You call it flowery I call it reasonable....I for one can take what the otherside can dish out. even a NOBoma note or NO Billary . But when the liberals that hate the conservatives make it an issue like this it is very dis concerning. Sure hope none of you treat your cons. friends like this....

So if you are trying to change my mind on this ....wont work....I am standing my ground. I am not filled with so much dislike of someone just because there views are different than mine. or tot around a non viral sign.
