Funny how it does not bother me when it comes from the side of the conservatives but it annoys me when I read it from my fellow Democrats.
We never for the most part ever bash Obama calling him a piece of trash or a no good Pinocchio, or a looser, or an idiot, and so on but the OS find great pleasure in doing this to Hillary.

Same here. I had to stop listening to Air America - and switched over to Sean Hannity - at least he and his callers are equal opportunity democrat bashers.... ;)

There's an intresting video on youtube that you can search for posted by shutthefreudup that is full of comments from the media about Clinton that are pretty derogatory. There's some language in it so I'm not going to link it, but it seems to have been done by HC supporters. It's a video response to a "Hillary Clinton Voter Protest Event Friday Morning April 11!" video.

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

The BIG problem with the "media' is that these people arent "Newsmen" they are pundins who voice their opinions. No more or less then us here on the Disboards. But because they are on TV, so MANY believe what they say is actual REAL VERIFIED RESEARCHED NEWS!:sad2:

I would love to know what Walter Cronkite thinks of this all!:confused3

That is for sure. Can remember when you could for the most part trust the news and news paper because it was not based so much on opinion but on facts. I feel like all the media has turned into a talk show like Oprah and letterman :rotfl2: but they check the facts.

I agree about Hannity and Colmes....Hannity is a little hard core right but that is okay. He is not fair all the way around even at a point about McCain and the other Rep candidates. For the most part they want to find out the facts. I have also found O'Rielly to be trying his best to stay on facts.

I think the worst is MSNBC with Kieth Oberlin(sp)...he is a Hillary hater till no end is one of the most opinionated men on TV that I have listened to. I get the impression that he is a womanizer..JMO however. He reminds me of my brother and my brother is a womanizer.

Don't care for Dick Morris either. He is another that constantly voices his opinion. He think Hillary is also going to loss PA and loss it big...and also all of the other states left. Hope he eats his words because I will post to him on his Blogs that again he was wrong :thumbsup2

I would also like to add that I hate when the media brings up the way a candidate felt 10-15 years ago. I mean year after year my thoughts on things change. My views on the war change as things on the war change. As I grow older my views are not the same as when I was younger...it's called life experiences. So there's the media....talking about McCain's temper in 1992 and people saying O'no cant have a pres with a temper...and Hillary's going back and forth on the war ...and Obama trying pot or cocain when he was younger....As for Hillary with the war the war changes from day to day so her decision will vary...McCain's temper has been under control and Obama is not a drug addict.

As this goes on it is the same old stuff and it is getting very boring. I want to see some knock out fights..show me who's boss. The only one that is showing any strength here IMO is Hillary.

The one poll (PPP) that had Obama leading in Penn now has Hillary up by three. Every other poll in the past few days seems to have her either holding her ground or trending up.

I used to watch Keith. Loved his "special Commentaries". But the rest of the show....I noticed some segments that seemed very sexist. I thought maybe it was just my imagination. But then I found out he was living with a 22 or so yr old girl. That made me see the segments in another light. I'm not going to say that every middle-aged man who lives with a woman in her very early 20s is a sexist misogynist, but IMO every middle-aged sexist misogynist prefers to deal with very, very young women. It's like women over 30 or close to their age intimidates them.

Anyway, his hatred towards Hillary is very revealing.

Same here...also I am more comfortable going into the Conservative thread than going into the Obama or liberal thread...there is hardley any bashing of the Dem candidates in there(Cons. Thread) ...go figure.

I am always welcome in the Cons. thread and they answer all my questions politely. Unlike the liberal thread or Obama thread. I like all the posters in the Cons. thread. They discuss the issues at hand about all the candidates. But I also go in there knowing that there views are opposite from mine and I respect that. I don't go in with my whips and chains ready to do battle.:thumbsup2

No :rotfl2: just like to get all points of views and O'Reilly does not just talk about politics he hits on other subjects also. I have found him to TRY to GET the facts...not have all the facts. His show consists more of question asking than just him talking.

I don't watch that much but when I do he is amusing. As for any of the shows even Oprah...the info is put out there and it is up to us to decide what we view as correct or not. After all have yet to read or watch anyone anymore that has all the right facts....so need to watch everyone to get a broader view and to see what they are all saying about a subject.
than make my own choice on what we feel we should believe.

so be sure if you reply not to bloviate :lmao:

I will not bloviate in this response....and just for the record my previous reply was not meant to seem pompous, I just thought it was a little bit funny that anyone who supports a democratic candidate would even bother to watch Bill O'Reilly....but to each his own and you make a valid point, in that every news channel will misreport or otherwise screw up the facts of a story.

I just don't like O'Reilly because of two specific instances of non-political news, one when he said that a boy, who had been kidnapped by a sexual predator and ended up being kept by that person at his home, "wanted it, because he didn't want to go to school." And I didn't like when he claimed that there were no or a very limited amount of homeless veterans, when veterans groups themselves dispute that. Bill O'Reilly is funny sometimes because I have seen clips from his show when his guests are basically telling him, "you got that wrong," yet he just keeps on going.

I can't even begin to imagine watching Fox News or listening to Conservative talk radio :scared:.

FWIW, you should give the Liberal Thread a try again. It's calmed down quite a bit and is concentrated on McCain.

I did not think you were being pompous at all and did not mean to state that you were bloviating :flower3: ...I was just trying to be silly:thumbsup2 Yes Bill has made his fair amount of blunders and I like when his guests get on his case...I like having the guests opinions.

Sometimes it's just nice to watch him to get away from all this political stuff and bias reporting. His show goes off of politics for much of it. All the other channels is all about how Obama is and how Hillary is not.

I take for sure all the reporting from all the shows with a grain of salt:thumbsup2

No, the don't just discuss the issues at hand. They just bash Obama on the con thread waaaaay more than Hillary so you prefer them more right now (and I say right now, because if/when Hillary gets the nomination all the hate they spew for Obama will turn to Hillary and the "NoBama" tags will be replaced with the one of Hillary dressed like the Wicked Witch).

It's understandable that you feel more comfortable over there with the way the Liberal thread was taken over, temporarily by Obama supporters, but let's not be on :cloud9: about the Con thread.

I have to thank you:thumbsup2 because I learned a new word today that I can use on my husband who does like to bloviate at times!!!!!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

You are so right about the grain of salt....it is hard to tell sometimes the fact from fiction, but coming in with a questioning attitude helps, then we don't fall into the believe all we see or read trap!

I have been going on the conservative thread longer than the liberal thread.
They don't bash Obama more than Hillary...they don't do much bashing at all. sure there is some but nothing like the bashing that the liberals do to each other.

I also don't get upset when they do it because there views are opposite from mine. and it is expected....the liberals are not the opposite. They also never ever bash me! I expected bashing in there but never ever expected to be bashed in the liberal thread. I will continue to go into the Conservative thread even during the election.

After all it is one world on President and even though our views are different we want the same thing....for a better world to live in...we just see different ways on how to get there that's all.

Just wanted to pop in and say something. I am not a Hillary supporter, I am a McCain supporter. But I would like to thank all of her supporters for being so mature when discussing topics. I feel that we can really have a conversation about politics without people coming in calling names and just well, being rude. So for that, I just wanted to thank-you.:)

Hi Robin....That could be because there are no Hillary supporters in there. There are a few of you that will be happy with either getting the nod but are more welcome because you are OS first.

I still read over there and see there is stuff on McCain but as soon as there is something about Hillary that is at the tiniest thing to talk about ....out it comes.

I think all may be fine once we get our nomination of either Hillary or Obama but think there is still to much tension between some of us. Glad you come say hi here however:thumbsup2

What's rude is your NoBama sign. Perhaps you would come off as respectful if you got rid of it.
