I doght they will. They will say that she only won because the Rep voted for her and that is how she got it.:confused3 It has been shown that more DEMs are voting for her than Obama.

The caucuses have me worried. He is going to give people bus and car rides to get to them. The more I listen to him the less I trust him...I will vote for him because I don't want McCain.

I am so glad that the polls are showing Hillary ahead again in Texas and Ohio. She has stopped his momentum. Hopefully it will show in the voting.
she IMO would be crazy to stop at this point and I am hoping she will take him on as her VP. Could you just imagine that...A Woman Pres and a Black VP....wow !!!!! I think together they could do great things together.

So back to the caucuses...what if he gets the majority of the caucuses and she gets the majority of the votes....how does that play out?

[/quote]I don't understand why you would have a problem with that. It's a time honored tradition to give people rides to the polls.

I have no problem with it I was stating that he has a better chance because of it....also wondering because of the weather if he will still be doing that because it could be dangerous with the ice storm and if the bus driver were to get into an accident than he could set himself up for a lawsuit...

personally I think it is a smart strategy.

Maybe Got Disney thinks if Obamas people drive, and you vote for Hillary...They wont take you home!!!!

'Stranded at the caucus, feeling like a fool what would they say Wednesday at school!

Hilllllary cant you see, I'm in Misery................."

Don't quit your day job, Travolta ;)

Actually, why isn't Hillary's campaign organized enough to give people rides?

I read this statement (from an HC supporter) to mean that she is concerned that BO will have more supporters there because they are organized to the point of giving car rides to the caucuses that need it.

Not that there was a problem with it.

I know that in forums that I've read & contributed in (like the dis)......BO is supported 4-1 over HC (as opposed to a 50/50 split in most polls), which means they are better able to respond & move assets (& voters).

An important issue in a state (like Texas) where a caucus exists. In order to win, Hillary (like Ginger Rogers) will have to do everything that BO does....but do it better (& backwards). ;)

Up to the minute fact - The county with the highest % of early voting (among registered voters) in the state.......Hildalgo County. (normally one of the lowest % turnout counties).

hound <---- Like Jack....has no problem "saluting" to a smart, tough woman. (at any time of day)

:)

(gonna go see where Bill was speaking to the crowd where he said "It's up to you.") Looked like "the valley" to me.

imo in Texas:

Obama's support (i'm generalizing) is often students (who don't work & are online) & are doing the driving. & Yuppies (who are online) & the African American community (who stay close in churches & stuff & stay organized)

HC's support groups are too busy working & getting their kids to do their homework to connect on line & "organize". But they're out there voting. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: Could you imagine if some of Hillary's supporters hoped on that bus and someone found out  :rotfl: or even some REP :scared1: ....have not heard to much about Vermont...what is the take there? or on the other states...I know RI is suppose to favor Hillary due to the Catholic woman's vote.
They said however there are 20,000 more youth votes there so that could be tight.

Maybe the bad weather will help Hillary because not many can get to the Caucuses tonight due to the weather :confused3 Hillary's voters are older so they are less likely to crawl out on the icy roads and take the risk....not sure if I would. Although my polls are right down the street so I could just walk down the hill. But no snow here in Beautiful San Diego :cool1:

I've been a little disappointed about this myself. But they did call me last night to make sure I knew where my polling place was, to remind me to attend the caucus and answer any questions I had about the process. So that made me very happy!

Yesterday my daughter and I were with a crowd of supporters back out on the street with signs. It was so cold! about 35 and the last 1/2 hour it started to sleet. We really got good response though. Lots of horn honking and waves. Even had a few stop and ask for signs. It was fantastic!

I really have a good feeling about Tx.

ETA: I don't think the weather will be an issue tonight. It's warm and sunny. The snow/ice is pretty much gone.

The weather was bad yesterday. The weather today is cool, sunny & crisp. A beautiful day...high in the 60s.

Ouch!

This primary went from really exciting to incredibly depressing for me. I come from a long line of Democrats and have been active in the party since the day I turned 18. I haven't been truly excited about a campaign since 1992, but as the conflict between the Clinton & Obama supporters grows wider and deeper my enthusiasm is fading.

I just hope that whomever wins the nomination, both sides can unite behind that candidate because either of them would be better for this country than McCain.

I hope that's not considered bashing. I would say the same thing in the Obama thread (and will, if I can find it).

that is what is said that Hillary has more of the working class and older voters that it is hard for them to get out and caucus. I think either way even if Hillary was doing great at the caucuses that it is a unfair way to have people vote. I mean come on...a hand full of people that can show up at each polling place deciding an important event like the POTUS.

whose great idea was to have caucuses anyway and what is the history behind it, I cant remember I will have to go Google it.

Who here remembers the times when you just did not discuss your vote...you never asked anyone "So who are you voting for"? People would look at you and say "Well that's none of your business because my vote is private"!

I still don't like asking who someone is voting for ....even the media would NEVER EVER tell who they were favoring.....they would just tell the facts as they came to them. They discussed the issues and that is what we judged our vote on. We also went with who we liked but the issues were also important.

Speaking of weather, any of you guys hear that they're extending voting in some precincts in eastern OH for 10 days because of the crummy weather? I would figure that that would have to benefit the Clinton campaign.

I was only giving reasons why BO's campaign is "more organized" in TX than HC's. Older working class people who don't attend community churches are less likely to be "organized" than heavily attended churchgoers & the online generation.

Not being racial just describing the lack of HCs organization.

WOW 10 days...no have not heard that all morning and have the news on. Why 10 days :confused3 why not just a couple of days? I don't know why they just did not close the polls today in Ohio and wait till tomorrow due to safety reasons.

You will have both sides risking there lives for voting and that is terrible. Not sure how much that would help Hillary except that it gives her 10 more days to campaign there and so on. The vote in 10 days could go either way....but she has gained back some of her votes according to the polls but we all know how the polls are...

Ouch...I know you are generalizing but I'm a Texas Democrat who just voted for Obama today and I'm getting my kids to do thier homework and I find time to volunteer. Last week at the Obama rally, my kids along with many others were doing their homework while waiting for the rally to begin.

Here's my bottom line: I support Obama but I want a Democrat to win come November so I will cast my ballot for her on Election Day if that is what it comes down to. However, this division that is forming in the Democratic party will make it tough to swallow. Instead of implying Hillary Democrats are harder workers than Obama Democrats, just admit Hillary's campaign didn't plan for something. We need to start working toward our unified goal... and not waste time tearing each other down.

No judgments or anything here, but are you also employed full-time? Because I think that is what the point was - that the Obama supporters have more time to be organized because so many (being students or SAHM or even upper management) are not held to a specific work schedule.

this is not just coming from Hound it has been said from the beginning of this election about how much harder it is for Hillary's and Edwards supporters to do caucuses due to the type of working class families and older folks like nursing homes or ones that don't drive and such.

During the caucuses young voters are able to get out and vote easier than the elderly and the folks home with there kids. So there for it gives Obama a better turn out. That's all. Nothing wrong or meant against Obama...
