BTW, I would be thrilled if Hillary gets the nomination for many reasons: mainly because she would be a great President. But also because I can't wait to see how all the con posters who are so sympathetic to Hillary now go back to to demonizing and bashing her the moment she gets the nomination.

It will be real interesting to see how welcome you feel over there then.

ya I know that but when I first started in there they were all over Hillary like she was well lets leave it at that because sure you get my point but still I was not bashed and when it comes down to who ever on the DEMS side against McCain...it will be more hard core..but I expect that and if I cant deal with it I will just turn around and walk out...but I will never post my opinions in a rude way in there because it is not my place to do so.

Yes, I will vote for McCain out of spite if Hillary doesn't get the nomination. I don't care about the issues of the Democratic platform -its all about the personality for me.

DH is a Rep also and is voting for Hillary...he said that he likes McCain but does not like that he wants to stay in Iraq for 100 years if that's what it takes. He feels that we are in to much debt to continue on that long.

He does not lean far right but leans more Moderate like McCain. He does not feel that we should pull out at this time but 100 years is too long and he feels that Hillary is a smart woman and if she sees that we need to pull out slowly but pull out...she will.

He feels Obama will just come out because he so against the war. Although was surprised to hear him say during the debate that he would leave some troops there to protect the American embassy and our interests. That is said to be about 75,000 troops behind to do so. So he will still be leaving troops in there and not pulling out 100% as first mentioned.

He gets the repubs and indys? I think that is very telling. What will those republicans and independants do come general election time? I had posted that there are 3 polls showing( CNN political activist showed them) at this time that shows there are more Dem voting for McCain than there are REP voting for Obama.

At least with Hillary we know what we get....not sure what will happen during the General election with Obama....not sure if this is one of the things you were referring to?

Here is a site that lists the primary status by state. I guess you could then look at which HRC won and which Obama did to get a general feel.

No I read some where that Hillary wins the democrats but the republicans and independants end up giving Obama the popular vote and the win.

YUP! I said that! There is a "theory" out there that Rebuplicans are voting for Obama in the Democrat Primaries...SO he will get the Democratic Presidential bid. However They wont vote for him in the General Election, therefore guaranteeing a GOP Victory!
(this is why the Super delegates were set up to begin with)

But there is no way to know this for sure. There is no public records stating that any precinct had 100 Republicans, 100 Democrats and 100 Independents come to vote & the resuts were....100 votes for Hillary, 260 votes for Obama, 40 for McCain...etc.

The only "proof' is that the Democrat Candidate totals votes are MUCH MUCH MUCH higher then the Rebuplican Candidate total votes in the states that allow cross voting and same day registration.

It could all mean that the Rebuplicans are in LOVE with Obama too...but that is highly doubtful!

I know...that is a wonder.....all I can figure is that at first they were against Hillary but after awhile started getting tired of the Obama love (as have some of us Dems ) and decided the worst of the 2 evils would be Hillary. Obama is considered to be furter to the right...as far as you can get, so it surprises me that so many are saying that Obama will bring ALL the party's together, and that includes many many Rep?

Personaly I cant see that how all of a sudden the Rep are going to say "Hay this guy is great so gee lets just change our Conservative mind set and vote for a Far Left candidate offering Hope and Change!

I think we should all just vote for who we think can best lead this country and not worry about trying to out maneuver the Republicans. We tried to do that the last time and ended up with Kerry as our nominee. Hardly anyone felt passionate about him -we all just thought he could win.

Yes, but they all know with McCain what they are getting and not many Repubs are going to cross over for Hillary either. Maybe the same amount who would cross over for Obama.


BTW, I heard some scary Texas voters on NPR talking about how they could never vote for a woman because the Bible says that only men should lead. Now that really deserves a

I think I have it. I think I finally have a handle on why the Obama supporters bother me so much.

They cannot or even refuse to see any negatives to his campaign.

You must be exhausted having run around to meet them all.

I like Clinton. I like her alot, and I think she'd be a fine President. That said, I thought the same things about Chris Dodd and Joe Biden (the latter was my first choice).

I don't worship Obama, I am not blind to his imperfections, I am very well educated and have indeed examined the issues, and I haven't had an kool-aid since Richard Nixon was President. That said, did vote for him.

I can't imagine that slamming his supporters does her any good. In fact it probably only helps McCain.

As fas as I can see there has been a fair amount of teeth gnashing on both sides, and I can't say I know where it startyed or even if that should make a difference among reasonable people.

That's because in reality there is a Bible verse to support any argument. My favorite is the argument that women are naturally wiser than men because God tells Abraham to listen to the words of his wife (because she understands things better than he does).
