That's why I brought up the ignore feature. It works wonders sometimes. :thumbsup2

Yes I have only one poster on ignore :rotfl2: ....and it begins with a WV and have never ever had to put anyone else on ignore. I have no problems with debating it is the mudslinging that comes from it. That is why I will say what I want bout the Obama campaign and Obama in here but will not go and insult the others in there own thread to make a point about Hillary in there that would be futile.

The same with the Liberal thread. They say that the Hillary supporters ran/left that thread because we could not handle it all...well I did not run I left so not to have a confrontation. I did what I was taught growing up...just turn and walk away if you see a fight is going to occur...if you cant settle it with words than it's not worth settling it with fists.

Mostly when there is no win in sight.....they can not change my mind and I can not change there's...so here I sit and wait till it all comes down to Hillary or Obama and than hopefully we will all join together and put our energy where it should be .....against the conservative party.

Obama is doing a great job so far! I have no problems with his campaign whatsoever. I can't say the same for SOME of his supporters though.

Some of the Obama supporters say that they are not throwing jabs at us but at Hillary...and that we are throwing jabs at them....well that is because we don't have that much problem with Obama but our problems are his supporters...

They seem to think that we are all against Obama but on the contrary we are not and will vote for him if he gets the nod...the same cant be for the Obama supporters because they don't like Hillary. With all the elections that I have seen in my life time this one is a piece of cake and fairly tame.....

If the OS think it is going to get easier when McCain steps in I got news for them. Best to get it all out in the open know than during the Election where the dirt will be dug up. By than all this stuff will be old news and if Obama gets the nod than McCain will have nothing more to dig up except maybe his experience .....we will say okay old news McCain so lets move on.....

DisUnc, it looks like the lady(or man) who posted was using a daughters log in. Typical college or HS kid. But want to know the irony?

- Her cat's name was "Socks".
- She's an "outside hitter" on the RIGHT side. :)

No wonder the parent is so flustered. ;)

I guess the BO supporters are so frustrated because they thought (& were essentially told by the media) that this was over 2 weeks ago. AS COMPARED TO HRC SUPPORTERS WHO THOUGHT IT WAS OVER A YEAR AGO :lmao: :lmao:
The fact that logically it wasn't (& isn't) doesn't matter. They had (in their mind) tasted victory & now many of them are emotionally fried.

Hey hound want to know the irony...our DOGS name was Socks, the id IS a HS student, but I AM The parent (and a 39 year old one at that, that posted under her name WHICH IS WHY THE DISCLAIMER ....Another Hillary support who fails to check the facts...surprise surprise surprise :sad2: ,.And one more fact, I KNEW 2 weeks ago that this was far from over. .Hillary will drag it out as far as she can. Care to generalize and speculate anymore about me??? btw, my DD IS an outside/right side hitter :) , depends which side of the court you are hitting from but research would show you that too!!..

And frustrated is hardly the word for it...More like amused at the feelings you can rile up over here. This is a fun place to post...You are all so wound up you're going to snap any minute...

I already stated I wasn't a troll or trying to be rude, but talk about getting out of the kitchen if you can't take the heat...:lmao: :lmao:

BUt I will leave HILLARYLAND for better places since I don't want to hurt your sensitive feelings...Fear not, I won't be back. I'll go back to lurking and posting in more sensible threads! It's all good!!!:thumbsup2

(although , It does feel good to get all THAT off my chest.!!)

BTW,,,sorry for rousing the troops, I was bored and feeling fiesty today and I have PMS so put it all together and I was a ticking time bomb...I didn't want to fire anyone up, but man these threads have a life of thier own sometimes...I will go in peace. :hippie:

And this post is why I will never debate here on the DIS with any Obama supporter anymore.:headache:
Nothing but lies, distortions, and absolute name calling, and citing delusional occurences that never happened.:sad2:

OKay I promise I will go but this has me laughing out loud...which part is the lie, which part is distorted and where was I citing delusional occurences???:confused3 I concede the name calling if you call me claiming you are being dense...but ah well sticks and stones and all that. Bill did cheat on Hillary SEVERAL TIMES, she did expect to wrap it up FEB 4 , didn't happen and now every vote DOES count and her health care plan has gone no where after 15 years or so of trying...so please point out the mis info so that I may become better educated...

Ok I promised,,,I'm outta here..:cheer2: :wave2:

You don't want an answer, because if you did, you wouldn't have to ask, as the information is out there in any number of places (including here on the DIS). Also, caucuses aren't unfair, as both candidates play by the same exact same rules.
Due to their timeliness and nature of the caucuses they are unfair. Elderly, people who work nights, people with children, people with no patcience,..etc, cannot easily partcipate in them.

It "hurts you"?? Buck up.

They're running for President. Both candidates have a right to exploit the weaknesses & perceived weaknesses of their oponents.

If Hillary was married to BO, then she should state on the stump that he'd be better on Foreign Policy than Kissenger & Churchill. Since she's not, she should slam him on his platitudes & his inexperience. It's up to the voters to decide who's most correct.

BO is slamming her on her 2002 vote & he HAS EVERY right to do so. The fact that BOTH CANDIDATES enabled Bush by voting to fund the war (& are currently hypocrites imo...) & that Obama wasn't even IN the Senate at the time....doesn't matter. He HAS EVERY RIGHT to slam her. It's up to HC to deal with it.

Thankfully I see BO stepping it up. I'm glad. If he wins the nomination he's going to hit like a Force 5 Hurricane by the Repubs & he better be battle tested.

:thumbsup2

The ignore feature can work wonders when someone gets to you that badly. I know it's a copout but sometimes it really helps. :)

:lmao: never even saw that poster before. I only have 1 person on the ignore....dont even think they post anymore!:confused3

Not all Obama supporters act like that! Most are pretty reasonable IMO. .

True Most are...but many aint!

I agree that when someone posts a rant like that though I just pretty much skip over it. I do that if either side does it though.
Me too, but when they are putting words in my mouth!:rolleyes1

Odd, because i personally think BO is maturing well through this, better than many of his emotional supporters. (But he's still "not ready for prime time".)
:thumbsup2 Learning on the Job while campaigning is One thing, learning on the job while being President...IS SOMETHING else:rolleyes1

Obama is doing a great job so far! I have no problems with his campaign whatsoever. I can't say the same for SOME of his supporters though.
AMEN! I think he is a very :cool1: guy and his campaign is as good as anybody elses. But jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees SOME of his supporters are just off the wall!
:confused3

I think it is the poor teen that should be frustrated (and maybe a little embarrased)...:rotfl:

If you are talking about that teen being me then you are way off! Just wanted to let ya know! :) I am no where near embarrased for what my mom posted on here.

And what's an Outside hitter on the rightside? They are two totally different positions...K?!

Ok, I'm going back to my Teen Boards and I'll make sure my mom stays away from here. Bye!

Fine, I'll restate. She's being a hypocrite by criticizing Obama for the same qualities that propelled her husband into office in 1992. If Obama isn't qualified now, Bill Clinton wasn't qualified then. Since I have now supported two unworthy candidates (Obama and Bill Clinton) I'm sure HC doesn't need a kool-aid drinking fool like me to give any money or volunteer any hours to her campaign.

There's a NY Times article that states that they were not biased and cite examples. As a matter of fact I agree with them. I found the Times coverage of both candidates to be fairly even handed. It is a serious news source.

The article cited was talking about the media in general - the NY times may be fair minded - I don't read it every day to know. I do know that the liberal blogs tend to be for Obama - and are sometimes worse than the republicans in Hillary bashing - and they far outweigh Obama bashing ones......

Its a shame really. I know I shouldn't allow many bloggers I don't even know to influence me - but to me they are reflective of their candidate.

Obama supporters are annoyed with Clinton "digs" - well - I'm equally as annoyed with Obama campaign and supporter "digs" as well! I am sure I'm not the only one......

I should have linked the article. It was only discussing the NY Times coverage. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/09/opinion/09pubed.html?ref=opinion

but I agree with you about the media in general, particularly more left leaning sources.

I'll reply to the Bill Clinton\Obama comparison.

At the time Bill Clinton and George Bush ran for president - foreign policy experience wasn't the main experience needed at the time. We were at peace.

In Clinton's case - it "was the economy stupid." We were in bad shape economically - and he had a great plan to get us out of it.

In Bush's case - well there was no case - just Al Gore used the word "lockbox" too often ;) - it was again not about foreign policy. In fact - Mr Bush wanted to get out of the "nation building" business. HA.

Out of the three candidates left - only two have foreign policy experience - Hillary and McCain. Its a fact.

So that's how I can accept Hillary emphasizing the need for a candidate with foreign policy experience - its a strength of hers - and its something the other democratic candidate doesn't have - and will have to learn on the job.

Thanks for posting. You write (& communicate) well VolleyballQT. :thumbsup2

I defer to you on VBall knowledge & positions (but would prefer that you stay on the LEFT side ;)).

Your mom is lucky to have you as a daughter & of course you have no reason to feel embarrased. Sorry about your dog Socks (i noticed he/she?) died last year....but looks like he/she had a nice long life.

Good luck & don't forget to register to vote when you're of age. :hippie:

They're both hypocrites on several issues....& they're both politicians running for President. All Presidential candidates for the past 50 years have been hypocritical on issues (except for maybe Ron Paul).

But they're BOTH correct on all issues that i care about. You & I are BOTH aware that both are pandering on Nafta & both will continue it in some manner. But this pandering isn't a deal breaker for me....it's politics.

Bill Clinton was qualified in 92 & BO is probably qualified now....& both are "worthy" (as is HC).

To all Obama supporters:

- You're not kool aid drinkers, you're inspired by BO. Most HC supporters aren't. Doesn't make us evil & we can't be inspired if we don't feel it.

- All states are important. And since it became apparent that NEITHER candidate would get the magic number EACH VOTE going forward is precious. Please drop the sarcasm that HC or her supporters think that a state or voter is "unimportant". It's cr*p & it's getting old.

- I hope we can agree to disagree & still be civil.

VA, whoever (whomever?) is nominated I hope you'll vote for him (or her). It beats the alternative (although i think McCain is a good guy) but he is unacceptible (i would think for all of us) on 8-10 key issues.

Ahhh, but here we have a disconnect. HC supporters believe that she is a smart politician who will make a great president. A great many Obama supporters seem to believe that he is not a "politician" in the traditional sense; that he has come to "save" politics. Any suggestion that he may be just another politician, albeit a smart and capable one, is met by derision and contempt. Not as bad word can be said about Obama without his supporters going into a frenzy.
