Just got home from a Hilary Duff concert with dd11 !!!!! :cool1: it was really good except for the girl behind me flipped her dippin dots down the back of my seat- :confused3 the girl next to me got the worst of it though..... the last concert i'd been to .......Chicago, 5 bands , 5 bucks......kinda a hippy show,Robbie Kreigher from the doors and some other assorted rockers..... :rotfl2: anyhow i survived teenyboppers yelling in my ears for 3 hours!! :earboy2:

My 14 year old would love to see her, he'd never admit it cause hes a big bad 8th grader now but he would love it. I love Hilary Duff too so I think I would enjoy it.

My girls love her. She seems to be the only teen role model that hasn't completely gone over the edge a la Lindsay Lohan.

hehe. She's also dating a 26 year old punk rocker ;) And she doesn't turn 18 until September :rolleyes1

I would have to agree with the role model, she was dressed in shorts and t-shirt and was covered up...... she talked to everyone and was really sweet.it was alot of fun... :cool1:

Did you see her in Peoria? I took my DD7 and WE just got home. Actually, was a pleasant little concert. It was my DD's first (she has three older sibs, and they have all been to "real" concerts) and she was SO excited. DD is hard of hearing, and we had to turn her aids off because they were feeding back- not sure how CLEARLY she heard, but she had to have heard something (it was a little loud for me). I was impressed that 1) Hillary was covered up; 2) she appeared geniunely friendly (even if it was acting it was nice); and 3) her music was clean enough that there was nothing I didn't want my 7 year old to hear. She seems to know her audience is young, and is okay with that.

All in all, worth the time and money. Had to laugh at all the young girls using their light sticks as "microphones" as they sang along. Not the Stones, but not bad for a teeny-bopper concert.

hi there yes we saw her in Peoria....it was my dd11's first concert too!!! did you get there early enough to hear the first 2 bands??? it is always fun to people watch......how people couldn't find there seats cause they were late and it was dark......we had a good time. have a good day! :wizard:

We're going to see her in Michigan on Saturday night. My DD6 is counting the minutes!

I took my DD age 9 and her best friend a couple of weeks ago. It was nice to be somewhere that you knew they could listen to the music and not have to worry about what was said!

So yeah. I'm 23. My friend (also 23) went to see her in Erie. LOL!!! I can't help that I'm an 11 year old trapped in a 23 year old body!!! I had a great time. :) :) :)

We were one of the "can't see in the dark" crowd. Had to laugh....the poor "boy" warm up acts were basically ignored- the (repeatedly repeated) Kohl's commercial got wild cheering, while the boy band performers got lukewarm applause. The "fan base" is more interested in being "Hillary Jr." than boys...oh, if they'd only stay that way.

And then they grow out of it. My DD17 is into Motion City Soundtrack and Green Day....have to put the censor delay to listen to those! (NOW I wish for those Backstreet Boy days!).

My 2 dd and I and 2 friends saw her at Hartford Civic Center about 3 weeks ago. Loved her! I liked it more than my girls 8 & 11 and the other 8 year old. Tyler Hilton opened up for her - he was great. THere was another local band - they were very good also. Go and enjoy! I would love to see her again!!! I won't tell you how old I am.

My daughter (18) took her twin cousins (12) to the concert in Peoria last night too. They said they had a great time.

dd11 got a concert shirt, put it on in the bathroom, wore it today, and asked if I could wash it tonight so she could wear it again tom.! :confused3 we got the last new Hilary cd at Wal-Mart today, they priced matched K-Marts price of 9.99. Glad to hear everyone had a good time too. :cool1:

yeah the second band got a little better reception, what about the mint comercial over and over again it seemed..... :rotfl: the light show was cool....... :earseek:

Yes, that sounds like a great time.

My daughter would love that.

Yes she does have a cute image, but she is dating a 27 year old. I dont have room to talk because I was 19 dating a 27 year old. I eventually married that 27 year old!

But she covers up, doesn't have the skinny lollipop head with no body, she wears normal clothes, and even in her "dark" phase with the brunette wig, she doesn't look terrible.

Is it just me or has something happened to her teeth? She looks funny to me since then...But ya gotta love that she covers up!
