Hijinks & Shenanigans but not much Mayhem@The Dark Side+Disney:Link to DL/Hawaii TR

I've loved every bit of this TR Dee :)
Thank you so much for taking us on your travels with you :)
Just in case I don't get another chance have a brilliant vacation and safe travels. Can't wait to hear all about it :)

Wonderful report as always!

Have a great trip! Truly does sound like a dream vacation. Enjoy!

Rebecca

Another Fabulous trip!~!!!

and thanks for timing SAB lazy river...I always did wonder how long it was....and now I can sleep better. :rotfl2: but really I did wonder how long it was.

Another trip report complete! I know it must have been difficult to do research on the lazy river :rotfl: It looks so much fun! Can't wait to try it out someday instead of walking by and sighing! Glad to know I got you for all the important info :thumbsup2

OK, I know it sounds obvious, but score on remembering to put on the swimsuit!! Well done Dee.

Now did you go around multiple times and take an average, or just the one time? Just curious really. Nonetheless, good on you for standing up (or laying down as it were) and collecting this required scientific data. :thumbsup2

Wow, I don't think I've ever see a fly on a plane. I'm sure it happens but I can't honestly say I've actualy seen it.

And lookie here... Disneyland is mere days away!!!! :cheer2: Have a BLAST (I know you will) and say Hi to Brenda and Em!!! :goodvibes

Dee - I loved your TR and I totally do not want to see it come to an end. Boo!

But you are only days away from DL! I can't wait to hear all about it because it looks like we will be going next summer (not in Feb as I had originally hoped). Have an awesome time! :cool1:

I think I could have told you how long the lazy river was because I watched the same lady go around it about 10 times while I was waiting for a tube. And then I finally gave up. Next I tell you. Next time!

Thanks for sharing your wonderful trip with us. Really looking forward to your next adventures.

Great TR Dee! Sorry to see it end. We will be arriving at BCV in 89 days. For the sake of research, I will verify your time on the lazy river at SAB! :rotfl2:

Mmmm, that lunch at Captain's Grille looked yummy! Yeah, I'd get the custom chowder too! ::yes::

Oh yeah, I totally get why you had to research the length of time it takes to circumnavigate the lazy river at SAB. The DIS needs to know!

Thanks for the report Dee! It's been great, and I love your touch with a comic (or two) in every chapter! :thumbsup2

You're darn right that was me on the plane. I kept buzzing in your ear that I wanted to go home with you but you never seemed to catch on. That farm that you work at seemed like a great field trip for a Fly like me. All of those farm animals, all that exotic manure... it's the stuff of dreams for flies anywhere.

I gave up when I couldn't get you listen and I decided to stay on the plane when I realized I had all those free drink coupons that were going to expire. I just kept flying back and forth until they were all gone. I over indulged a bit too much and Mrs. Buzzy had to come collect me at the baggage carousel and fly me home to our dumpster at the Beach Club.

Perhaps when you come back in August we can have a do over and I'll make the trip home with you if you promise to take me to your farm.

Love, Buzzy the fly, your Beach Club Resort guy.

So sad to see this trip report end, but so happy to know it is because you have a most amazing vacation ahead.

I hope you have a great time next week and that you amass many great stories to bring back for our entertainment.

All the best in your travels west!

Dee, I thoroughly enjoyed coming along on your trip. Thank you for an awesome TR! I've enjoyed getting to know you.

I love that you take your running of the Beach Club thread seriously and timed the Lazy River. :thumbsup2

Awesome review. I stayed at the Hard Rock for work (convention in Orlando) and we were able to go to Islands of Adventures (park rented out for gala for convention) and it was amazing. I told my family the next time we go to Disney, we are adding a few days at the hardrock and going to both Universal and Islands of Adventure.

Dee, I understand why you had to time how long it took to make a complete round in the SAB....it was research purposes and for the sake of the Dis. :thumbsup2 That's the same reason I risked life, limb and Disney jail for the CBR thread. ;)

We took a walk over to the Beach Club and the Yacht Club while on our last trip and both are absolutely gorgeous! What I wouldn't give to stay at one of them. But, my pocketbook just won't allow it unless we make our trips shorter.

How neat that you were able to visit with one more Diser before boarding ME. Oh and a Dis Meet on the plane too!

I know that you fully understand the importantance of bringing in-depth research to the masses! You risk Disney jail, I risk family harmony as I take countless pictures of shaving cream and women's products in the Marketplace gift shop.:rolleyes2

I can totally understand choosing a longer trip over going deluxe. My fingers are crossed that you will have a trip to the Beach or Yacht Club someday in your future.

I really enjoyed running into Cathy a few times during our trip. See, they are NOT all imaginary friends!

:lmao:

Dee-
I hope you have a blast on your upcoming trip!!!

Thank you so much! We are all really excited.

:cool1:

Rebecca

Thank you so much! This will be all new territory for us in a lot of ways.

And the best part... when I get back, I still have another little trip to look forward to. Thank you for your part in that!

:flower3:

Thank you!!!

I feel better having that knowledge. Sorry this was keeping you up nights!

:rotfl:

I have the time, but not the length. Couldn't find a tape measure long enough and they wouldn't let me float a string in the river.

:)

It's a tough job, but somebody's got to do it. Well, not really, but I enjoyed the research.

I have my toes crossed for you for an upcoming stay someday for you

:thumbsup2

Touche! Your comment about the swimsuit made me :lmao: Practice makes perfect, I finally figured it out by the last day.

Yikes! Only one set of data! That will not do. I shall remedy this faulty research project in about a month or so. If you need me, I'll be floating on a tube.

I know, getting bugged by a fly on a plane has never happened to me before either. Hey, that may make a great movie "Bugs on a Plane"- I'll try shopping it around when I am in California.

I am super excited to meet Brenda, and whomever she may drag along with her. I have been practicing my best Boston accent so she can make fun of me.

;)

Thank you so much for following along!

I will do my best to bring back informative and hopefully interesting experiences from our trip.

See, now that you know it takes 7 minutes to make the rounds in the river you can shout out "Hey! You have been doing that for 70 minutes! My turn now!" or "I'm on an important mission from Dee. I'm going to need that tube"

Let me know how that works out.

:lmao:

Thank you for the following along.

Thanks for your offer to do some intense research. I need all the help I can get (although probably not the type of help you are offering)

:goodvibes

We enjoyed our laid-back lunch. The chowder was AWESOME!

The DIS is a cruel master!

I'm glad you enjoyed the report and the comics. I had fun trying to find something appropriate to each chapter. Or not appropriate in a case or two. A couple made it past the censors.

;)

Sorry, Buzzy- I guess I missed the hint. Too bad, because it would have been a nice family reunion for you. Poor Schooner the horse has to wear a fly-guard over his face because some of your relatives are bugging him!

Then again, my manager may frown upon me bringing "guests" to the farm. As it is, my son has invaded the farm this week to help out with camp. I managed to dodge that bullet this year!

:scared:

One adventure ends.......Another begins. Thanks for the ride Dee.

Thank you for being there! And thanks in advance for looking out for our friends on the FAQ while I am gone!

:cool2:

Dee, I thoroughly enjoyed coming along on your trip. Thank you for an awesome TR! I've enjoyed getting to know you.

Thank you so much Kathy! I have really enjoyed getting to know you through our trip reports as well.

:flower3:

I do take my responsibilities seriously! I actually packed (and used) a tape measure so I could get the dimensions of the in-room safe for my friends on the FAQ.

:sad2:

Glad you enjoyed the review of the Hard Rock. We loved it!

How cool to have a private party at IoA! I am glad to hear you will be adding on a trip to the "Dark Side" on your next visit to Florida. We have really enjoyed our visits there.

With a 9 year old boy, who is totally into Harry Potter and Marvel and now the Simpsons and Jurassic Park, he would be in heaven. So I am making a point to do both on our next trip. Not sure my 1 year old will care, but in a few years he will love the Dr. Seuss area! :)

Dee, if I'm not too late to say so, then have a magical vacation!

Yay for bathing suits! Don't get me wrong, I'm all for jumping in fully clothed, but that wouldn't have been to comfortable on the plane I'm sure!
7 minutes, eh? I could go for 7 minutes of lazing around in that gorgeous lazy river.
Nice that you got a last minute Dismeet in too.
A fantastic trip, I'm so glad you shared it and I can't wait for the next one!
