The Mom left the line???? Holy cow. Did the kids seem to know anything where she went. A bit scary!
We were pretty shocked when we noticed she was gone!
I don't know what or whether she said something to the kids. They actually didn't seem to be in any distress. Maybe this had happened before???
What a lot of Pooh-Karma after the start of your afternoon.
I can't believe a mother left her two kids there. I know it's Disney, but still?
Front row on BTMR...awesome.
You really lucked out with the monorail with all the horror stories of it stopping for long periods of time.
Anxious to hear if you make it to your dining reservation.
Things definitely started getting better for the rest of the afternoon following the ride on Pooh. It was at that point we realized what a big impact the weather can have at MK- a lot of stuff closes and then the indoor rides get really busy.
I may have momentarily misplaced my children while at Disney, but I never intentionally left them!!!
Front seat on BTM is our favorite. Of course, we always let the boys have that row.
We were very happy at the way the monorails showed up when we needed them.
Just when you think you know all the short forms and catch phrases of the Dis, a new one comes along. Pooh-Karma - love it.
It is nice to get Pooh Karma after waiting in line behind a baby in need of a diaper change. (And bad mom, bad mom)
Nice shots of the GF construction!
Until you wrote that, I didn't realize that our pooh-karma may actually have been pooh-karma
Love the pooh karma! Who leaves their kids like that? Or doesn't know where they are staying?
We missed the jungle cruise last time because adventure land was scary crowded and with a little one we were hitting the park heavy in the morning and bailing when the crowds hit. I plan to fit it in this next trip for sure!
I didn't know that rain meant your fast doesn't expire. I assume this is just for that day? I am still such a newbie. Of course now that I am starting to figure out all the ends and outs magic + will probably be on full swing and who knows how that will alter things!

:
It didn't occur to me, but if the mom didn't know the name of the place she was staying, what are the chances the kids know? I can see that interview at Child Lost & Found
"Where is your mom?"
"With our sister in the bathroom"
"Where are you staying?"
"We don't know"
We don't like the queue line for Jungle Cruise, so we always FP it. The return time is usually not too far out, so we can usually find something to do while waiting- Swiss Family Treehouse, Dole Whip Float, Pirates.
My family does not deal well with "idle" time while at Disney.
Just to clarify about the weather and Fast Passes. The reason that the we were able to use our Fast Passes for Big Thunder Mtn and Jungle Cruise after the return times was that the rides were both closed earlier in the day, during our scheduled return time. The outdoor rides don't always close with just rain, but there were a lot of rumbles of thunder and we saw a couple of flashes of lightning.
THAT closes outdoor rides!
Way to go on the Pooh Karma

:
Crazy to just leave young kids alone in the queue like that:0
The whole Pooh experience was bizarre. We chose Pooh because we figured there wouldn't be much of a wait. When we got in line the advertised wait time was 20 minutes. Tolerable.
But with the line not moving, there were a bunch of restless kids, annoyed parents, disgusting smells.
Pooh-Karma made up for our unpleasant hour in line, though.
Unfortunately, as we learn later in the trip- Karma can work both ways!
Seriously? The same woman who didn't know where she was staying left her kids in line and didn't say a word? to anyone? including her kids?

Was she impaired or something?

Stuff like that just affirms my belief that there are a lot of stupid people out there. Sheesh!
Rain has a way of putting a crimp in plans, but I'm glad you were able to use all your Fps. You know I LOVE BTMMR!
Ugh - that picture with the sea of humanity was a little overwhelming for me. Yikes! I'm sure the rain helped with that.
Thank goodness for pooh karma and a quick monorail arrival. I can't wait to see what the VGF look like in October when they are completed.
It was unclear to us whether she had said anything to the kids about where they would meet- either back in line or in the dump shop at the end of the ride. Never saw either kid pull out a cell phone.
I get really nervous when members of my family separate at theme parks and although we have cell phones, I usually make a plan B just in case- loss of phone, dead battery, poor signal.
I know you love BTM!!! You have great taste! It is my favorite Disney ride.
Yes, that is certainly a scary crowd picture.
I thought of you when I posted the GF pictures. I don't know if you had already planned your stay there when I took them (mid-July). Can't remember when you reported the change in your travel plans.
Dee, great pictures! I guess the mom figured you could handle 2 more?!? What is up with that???
Thanks!
Yeah, I'm good with two kids.
