High School:Good Grades vs. Challenging Classes

Every college is different in what they accept and what scores they give credit for. It is best to check out colleges that are of interest and read their policy. You can link easily to any college through www.collegeboard.com for that information.
 
DD16's school also has naviance. I was wondering how to use that to figure out if the school is a safety or a match or reach.

I know you said previously that your DD is a junior, but you can go to www.collegedata.com and enter her scholastic information so far for an idea of what schools fit into each category you mentioned. Then as she gets her final SAT's (ACT's) subjects tests, etc you can update that info there. It also allows you to enter different info to see what would increase her chances of getting into the school that she wants. So far for my son they were right on the money with the 2 EA's he did.....won't know about the rest until next month.
