Hey folks!! I noticed a few new names here and thought perhaps some intro's would once again be good!! So I'll go first!

I am Vanessa aka Grover in Winnipeg! I have been visiting the DIS since 2000 when planning out first disney trip. That was going to be our "once in a lifetime" trip--yahhh right!! LOL-I am now forever hooked on Disney-hmmm is there something in the water there!

I also started my scrapping obsession around the same time-came across it because my DSIL gave me scrapping supplies as a gift-never looked back-little does she know she has now contributed to my thinking nothing of paying 1.50 for one sheet of paper!

I work full time as a case coordinator for employement and income assistance for the Province of Manitoba--in everyday language I am a "welfare worker". I have been at this since Nov/01-prior to that I worked in a drug/alchohol residential treatment centre for teenage girls. I started as casual and was unit coordinator when I left. I guess I am a glutton for punishement! I have seen the best and the worst in people. I can also say that I have been called every name in the book-and some that you wouldn't even fing in there!!

I have DH-who isn't really my husband but we have been together for more than 11 years so in my heart he is! Wish we could afford that disney wedding!! Together we have DS who is 9 turning 10 August long weekend. I am a lucky gal-they are both great guys. They love disney as much as I do and have a interest in my scrapping!

Hmmm what else-okay a few more odds and ends!!
I am Aboriginal and Austrian-nifty hey!
I am not quite 29.
I love the Amazing Race-to bad us Canadians can't get on that show!
I plan to travel Europe and buy a house in the next 10 years-I always have a 10 year plan on the go!
And I love to eat but hate to cook! Good thing DH knows how to bbq!

So what about you??
Grover in Winnipeg
:D  :D

Ok, I'll be next...
I'm Ann and I'm a scrapaholic, I just don't seem to have enough time to do as much as I would like. I also don't have a "good" LSS near me.
I have a wonderful DH of 13 years and a dd-8 and ds-6.
I'm a die-hard Iowa Hawkeye fan and don't even think about dissing the Midwest to me.;)
I'm a SAHM but spend loads of time at my kids' school volunteering. My former careers included substitute teaching, teaching preschool and I was the Director of a child care center.
Who's next?

My name is Candi and I'm a scrap-a-holic...

My DH and I live in Oklahoma with our DD whose 8 (going on 25) We are big Sooner fans (ranked pre-season #1 :D ). We are planning to go to most of the road games this year and I'm most excited about going to the OU/Missouri game b/c we will get a chance to visit William Woods University (nearby) where I went to school. Last year I made DH a OU album for Xmas with pics and stuff from all of the games. I am lucky to be SAHM to our daughter, though I don't get to spend much time scrapbooking. I have my own paper piecing business on the internet. A friend and I sell our handmade paper piecings and it pretty much pays my cellphone bill and supports my scrapping habit. I also love to cook and collect Mickey Mouse anything. We have a Mickey Mouse kitchen and my bathroom is MM decor. It drives DH crazy, but he started it when he gave me my engagement ring inside a box with a MM telephone. So as Walt would say, "It all started with a mouse" I love DisneyWorld so much that it makes me sick to see anything about it on tv commercials or in magazines b/c I'm not there! We also love golf and fishing. DH and DD play golf and I go along for exercise, not being much of a golfer! We also have my 15yr old nephew a great deal of the time, so I have my "son I always wanted" I have a couple of fun groups I crop with here in my area, and I love to get together with them when I get the chance...That's me in a nutshell Who's next??

Hi, my name is Stephanie and my DH found this board when researching the DVC. I have been scrapping for almost two years, but I haven't done much lately because I have a toddler and seven week old daughter. I can read the boards, though (one-handed), even if I can't scrap, and have found lots of useful info here.

We love Disney and have been going twice a year for the past two years. I'm sure with the DVC we'll go even more!

I can't believe that after all these years on the DIS - that the name "Mickey Mouse" wasn't taken until last month! Welcome!

I'm Debbie from Middle GA and while I'm an old name here on the DIS - I'm very new to Scrapbooking. As in I've done 4 layouts so far and started July 4th!! I'm currently working on our vacation we took last month to Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Jackson Hole and Salt Lake City. I already love it and have spent over $200 on supplies!!

As you can see in the pic below - I have a very cute DH named Bill and a beautiful 16 year old DD named Becca. I've been doing WW for over a year now and while I've been stuck at 55 for a while I've gotten re-motivated and hope to lose another 30 lbs. As you can see from the countdown! I'm coming up on 20 years of marriage and we're very excited about going to Las Vegas to celebrate! I'm an accounting manager who should be working right now - but I'm goofing off instead!!

And I guess I'm well on the path to being a Scrapaholic!

Hi, May name is Chessie and I can quit any time I want (ya, right)

I came to the DIS in 1999 when I was planning my Disney cruise. My last trip to WDW was when there were only 2 parks and I wanted to catch up on what was new. My friend, who was a scrapper, said should scrap my cruise. Not realizing what I was getting into I said sure. The rest is history.

I am a Grandmother of the sweetest 2 year old boy in the world. ( grandmothers are obligated to say that, but it's true) He gives me fantastic material for scrapping

In addition to scrapping and Disney, I love dancing. I do line, pattern and social. I just recently participated on a dance team for Relay for Life. We danced from 6p till 9a. and raise more than $28,000 for cancer. It certainly was a challenge.

Hi - I am one of the newbies, so I'll go next and tell you a bit about myself :D

I am Janice, married to DH Chris for 29 years and we have 2 children, James who is 25 and Katie who is 22. I am from the UK by the way ;)

We run our own Central Heating Contracting business, and James is our Chief Engineer. Katie is an Actress and has done some work here on Radio, the BBC Television and also been in a couple of low cost films. She also has toured with a play - she keeps busy thankfully and as you may gather, we are very, very proud of her achievements.

I found the Dis in 1998 (I lost a heck of a lot of posts in the First Crash!) when planning our Millennium trip. That was our (me and DH) 4th trip - but the first for James and 2nd for Katie. Their partners came too and this was a mega trip to celebrate Our Silver Wedding Anniversary - Katie's Graduation from College - James promotion within our business - and of course the New Millennium. We had a fantastic time and I have yet to Scrap that trip. I was then asked to become a Moderator on the UK Boards and have been here ever since!

I had a serious health scare last year and needed surgery - that really frightened me, then sadly straight after, my dad became very ill and passed away almost a year ago. With one thing and another I began to feel very depressed and it wasnt until March this year that I even thought about Scrapbooking - I owe it to Bev and Fiona for enticing me into this hobbie - and I thank the day I did. I love it and am totally addicted now. We have just moved house and I am patiently waiting whilst DH renovates one of the garages into my office and he is setting me up a separate Scrapbooking Area.

Sorry - I do go on!

That's about it now - in a nutshell, I'm a Dis'ing Disney Scrapaholic!

Ok My turn!
yes I am a scrapper....very addicted and wish no outside help!
I have 2 wonderful kids, DD 61/2 and DS 41/2. I am married to a great guy who supports my habbit for 13 plus years!
we have 1 cat and one dog.
Scrapping was a very slow progression and I actually found 2 scrapbooks I made for my grandmother back in the early 80's!
I started again when my first childwas born....I think that lasted about 1 year then I did nothing. This year my DD teacher introduced me to CM and it was down hill from there:D I am now hooked and love finding paper, stickers and what ever else!
I get double prints of every picture I take! and no one is allowed to look at or touch until the first set is in the protective sleeve!
I love scrapping and discounts so much I signed on to sell SIAS....granted I have no plans to do anything with it but use the discount!
I have been going to Disney all my life! Go every year, thanks to my mom moving about 2 hours outside of Disney!
Currently I am a SAHM but prior to that I worked in an early intervention program. I am a physical therapist assistant. I keep toying with the idea of going back to work in the fall...would love the extra income but hate the thought of not being home!
So that about sums it up!
I found the DIS through a search, lurked for awhile but now...I just consider it one of my many addictions! LO!

Hello,
As you can tell from my post count I am newer than newbie! My name is Leigh, I found the DIS through reccomendations from another disney board I visit from time to time. I have been obssesed with disney and (especially) WDW since I was little-bitty.
The only thing I am more of a newbie to than the DIS is scrapbooking. Right now I am in the read, research and gather supplies phase. I hope to be able to start my first pages next week, that is if I can find where I put all my photos after our recent move!
I am also an avid amateur chef and chowhound. I have even considered culinary school, so if anyone has any recipe requests I probably have it. :)

Hope in the future I can contribute even a fraction of the information I take away from here.

Hi, I'm Lisa and I'm also a Scrap-a-holic. I really don't want any intervention though!

I'm a SAHM with 3 sons (12, 8 and 4). I work very part time teaching aerobics - it keeps me in shape and I get paid!

I'm fairly new to scrapping, but have enough supplies to open my own store! I'm currently working on scrap books for our last three trips to Disney. I'm beginning to get confused!

Who's next?

Lisa

Hi, I'm Susan and I'm 29 years old. I have been married to DH for almost 4 years now, no kids just 2 dogs (Queensland Blue Heeler aka Australian Cattle Dog and a Shepard mix).

I am addicted to scrapping too. I like to say that my Mom was a scrapper before it was popular, she did my entire baby book back in the 70's using constuction paper, pictures & journaling. Before my wedding she redid the whole thing adding new pictures & comments.

I started scrapping about 5 years ago, just using constuction paper inside those little page cover things (?). In the last year I was introduced to the Creative Memories line, and that is where I am most comfortable. I even hosted a party. I like their philosophy of scrapping, but I have to admit I love Mrs. Grossman stickers (which they don't sell anymore), so I usually go to my LSS to get my sticker fix. I have completed my wedding album and am currently working on a chronological album starting from December 98..I am up to July 2000 right now.

Also, like many of you, I am a Disney freak. We just bought a new house and I have an entire Disney room all to myself. It houses my collection of Disney happy meal toys (currently have almost 600) along with all my other Disney collectibles. I had an AP for WDW last year and went twice (pretty good for living on the opposite coast!). Both my DH and myself have Disneyland AP's and went in April...our next trip is planned for early October. DH is not quite as nutty about Disney as I am, but he's getting there, so I can't complain.

My other hobbies are baking, cake decorating (I am currently taking my first decorating class) and traveling. I am a travel-aholic! We usually go to Vegas a few times this year, hopefully going next month.

Who's next??:)

OK, here goes. . .My name is Pammy Jo and I am a Disney and Scrap a holic and that's fine by me too!

I have lived outside of Wash. D.C. for about 7 years now. Before that, I hailed from Southern California which I do so miss. I used to take trips to Disneyland all the time.

I am married with three boys, 5,3 and 11 months. I work very part-time as a swim coach. It gets me out of the house and gives me a little spare change to play with too.

I have just turned into a Disney- aholic in the past year with these boards. We are just finishing up our basement and I am turning the theme into what else, Disney! I ordered 6 Disney posters from e-bay and had them framed. I can't wait to put them up.

We have been travelling to DW each year now for the past four years. We go again in Nov, but I'm already planning Dec 2003! I'm also trying to do a DH and me ONLY trip next year too.

I have been scrapping for 5 years now, and only this past year really getting into it. I don't like to stick with just one company, but rather take a little bit of supplies and info from them all. I am always up for learning new things and this board has taught me soooo much! Thanks everyone!

Hi. I'm Melissa. I am a scrapaholic, but I don't want to be cured. I have way too much scrapbooking stuff, but don't tell my husband I said that! I'm always behind on my scrapbooks, but I try to put in some time on them every week.

I live in Oklahoma. Actually, I live in the same town as Candi (go Sooners!) but we didn't know each other until we met on the DIS. I am 41 and I've been married 18 years this Sunday. I have a DS 15 and DD 11. Our family also includes 3 dogs, 1 cat, 1 lizard, and some fish. It's a zoo.

I found out last September I had breast cancer. I had a mastectomy. I'm fast approaching my one year survivor mark, and I'm doing great. I'm very, very lucky. I had DH take pictures of all my visitors and saved all my cards. I have a pink album that will be my Survivor album. See, scrapbooking keeps me on an even keel. It's a healthy habit.

I used to teach school, but now I'm a SAHM. I like needlework. I think it's relaxing. Just don't get to do it that much anymore. Our family has a DVC membership, so we try to make it to Florida every couple of years. I'm currently working on a Disney Cruise album from our 2001 trip and a 50th wedding anniversary album for my MIL's birthday gift.

This is fun. So who is next?

My turn!!!:D :bounce:

My name is Kristin. I live in Plano, Texas, but I am hoping to remedy that soon! Anyway, I am 23, and I am a Disney-scrap-aholic!!!!

I have loved Disney as far back as I can remember. I became a Disney-aholic after my first trip to Disney World in 1992.

Currently, I am a Disney Store cast member (just celebrated my two consecutive year mark, but have been with the company on and off for over five years!) I am a college gradute trying to find her way in life

I have been scrapbooking for about two years, and I love it. I'm totally addictted and am quite happy, thank you! :)

I was referred to DIS by a fellow cast member. I've been hooked on it, too!

I also love music. I used to play French horn and wish I hadn't given it up (no thanks to a certain private teacher). I draw, color watch movies, play on my computer. . .just to name a few! I also crew for a hot air balloon!

Can't wait to meet more of you! Great idea, Vanessa!

Happy Disney Scrapbooking!
Kristin

Hi I am Pat and I have been hooked on scrapping for the last three years although I work very very slowly and do not have much to show for it.

I will be 41 years old on Sunday and have been married for 13 years. I have two lively DD ages 8 and 9. I am a SAHM but volunteer at school often and have been a brownie leader/co-leader for the last 3 years. BK (before kids) I was a customer service rep for the local electric company. I usually find time to scrap first thing in the morning since I always seem to get up around 5:30 am whether I need to or not.

I found DIS in 1998 when researching our first trip to WDW with the girls and have been addicted to the boards ever since. I love all the recipes on this board and print them off all the time, now I just have to actually "cook" them! lol

Now that I have had my morning cup of tea and DIS board fix, who is next?

It's been so much fun reading this thread -- thanks for starting it, Grover! ;)

I'm Amy, 32, wife to Jeff for almost 11 years, mom to Travis (9-1/2) and the furchildren: Isabelle & Naboo (the Kitty Committee) and our puppy, Shep. I'm a SAHM, but have worked very part-time as our church's secretary for the past 7 years. I also homeschool Trav, who is entering 4th grade this fall.

I've been scrapping for about 8 years, and have way more supplies than I'll ever need due to the fact that I worked in an LSS for 1-1/2 years! ;)

I'm nowhere near being caught up on my books, but have been trying to work on them every few days. I'm currently trying to finish scrapping our May trip to WDW, and am looking forward to scrapping our first Disney cruise in October! :D

Hello, My name is Keli and I really, really, really enjoy scrapbooking.
My dh of 19 years tolerates my scrapbooking very well but of course, he has no idea how much I spend on it, lol. My dd, Ashli 17 yrs, tried to convince me to buy a keychain that said "My husband allows me to buy all the scrapping materials I can hide" because she thinks it's so true. All I can say is I really do enjoy it and I try to do a little of it at least every couple of days. I'm not that skilled at it though and I love all the tips that you folks give on the different posts because it really helps me figure out new and better ways to do things.

My name is Laura and I am a Gardening, Scrapbook, Dis Boards, Disney aholic. And I don't want to be cured. .:p

I found the DIS in 1999 when I planned our 2nd trip as a family to the World. So glad we went but will never plan an August trip again but, glad we went that August since in October of that year my husband was burned from his waist down and lost one of his legs. This tragic accident didn't keep him down for long considering so as a "we need a family trip to celebrate life", we went back to Disney for Christmas 2001.

I just turned 43 on Saturday and have been married for almost 19 years but we are high school sweethearts so we have been together forever. We have a wonderful teenage DD of 13 going on 25 but you know how that goes.

I have been not been scrapbooking as long as most of you only since October 2000 it was my out after such a long year. I am now hooked and I think my family is too because they can't wait to look at the pages I complete. I have complete a Christmas album of the past 13 years of DD life, I have 1 1/2 trips to Disney complete and 1 more to do. I am currently working from 1988 to the present on our life as a family it may take me the rest of my life to complete it but, I sure will have fun doing it.

I do buy mostly CM supplies but buy lots of stickers at AC Moore and my LSS.

When I am not scrapbooking I am tending to the almost 8 - 10 flower beds. I have turned on section of our yard in to gardens, it's a work in progress but I love tending to my flowers, it's a lot work but, I find it very relaxing and very rewarding.

I am an Office/Credit Manager for a Construction Company.

I must say during my husbands accident you all became my extended family along with the great towns people from the little town in NH where we live. You all helped me make it through and I thank you all for that.

This is a great thread. To bad we couldn't all meet to scrap together.

Next... .. . :D

Hi everyone, what a great thread!

I am an avid Eeyore fan and collector (I have over 700) and just recently got into pin trading. I love all things Disney and try to go to wdw several times a year.
It's just me and dbf of 5 years our cat Ozzy and 2 ferrets Cookie Monster and Oscar the Grouch.

I did my first scrapbook in 2000 on construction paper using clip art from online. lol.
I have completed one more Disney scrapbook since then, and recently inherited my grandmothers photos. I have decided to do my first 12x12 album as a heritage album and just finished spending a small fortune on scrapbook supplies mostly paper :)
If I get one more box of paper dbf might go through the roof.

As a first generation American, I really want to preserve these photos that have now survived 2 world wars. I scanned 4 albums worth ofpictures in, edited them and will start to reprint them as soon as my printer is back up and running. I am having a great deal of difficulty coming up with journaling. I have looked online for ideas but I my style doesn't seem to be the "cute" type.

I also recently got some vellum and eyelets and am about to start experimenting with embelishments. I will post pages as soon as I get some done. I look forward to reading all about everyone :)

I'm Leah. I've been here since early 1998, I think. Possibly 1997 if it existed then. It was like one message board w/ a banner ad. I lost my ID in the crash and then I forgot another ID, so I look like I'm new. Plus, I can't stand to read the boards if I don't have a trip coming up. lol Makes me jealous.

I think I have an addictive personality. Luckily, I'm addicted to scrapbooking and Disney. Lately I've been in a supply collecting mood. I'm going to my first scrapbook convention in a couple of weeks. I hope that'll inspire me to actually USE the supplies.
