Hi i'm from P.A.!!!!

We just filled up the oil tank...it costs as much to fill it this one time as it use to cost us for the whole winter

We need oil, but I'll be honest we can't afford to shell out $400-900 at a time! We are switching to coal, might not be the "green" thing to do but its either that or go cold if it goes up any higher next winter!

Yes, I can understand that! We also have a gas insert and have turned that up so that the furnance doesn't run as much, we've also turned down the thermostats and are considering switching our furnance to a gas one DH is Handy...we'll see what happens with the prices.

Hey Tara do you have an older home that your heating bills are so high. We have a newly built home and it is insulated welll. You state you are a warm person, so you probably don't set the thermostat high. We keep it at 67 or 68 especially at night for sleeping. I sure am glad we don't have your gas bills. I think we get a little break in the cold soon and spring is not that far away.:rainbow: Hey you in Fleetwood. Do you go to snuzzles to eat ever? Gotta love it.

Hye former Cast Member, welcome. What did you do at Disney. My son works at Disney now. He used to do character work, but now schedules characters and still occasionally gets over to do the Fantasmic Show. I love coming to Bethlehem for Musikfest, although have missed the last two years. I wish you well in your endeavors looking for a home.:flower3:

Hi, I was on the WDWCP back in 1990. I worked in the Gourmet Pantry which is now Earl of Sandwich. Boy was it fun! Thank you for the well wishes!

Actually no, it's a brand new home we built 2 years ago. It's just very big & very open, and we're on the top of a mini mountain & get hit by wind even if it's not windy down in the valley! We used the highest efficiency windows & insulation too, it's a shame it's still so much to heat! We did plant a ton of strategically placed pine trees, but it will be years before they're tall enough to make a difference. 67-68 is waaaay too warm for me at night. I set the downstairs to 58 & the upstairs to 62!

Hey - did I hear Snuzzles?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I have a very old drafy house :( At least 100 years old.. and you can tell by my oil bills, we just bought it 3 years ago March (wow 3 years already??). We are slowly replacing windows, but ya gotta love that all of my widows are werid expensive sizes of course.

Hi, I just found this thread today, Okay if I join you ?
I Live in Montgomery County In the Gilbertsville area.
I drove by CKay87's town today on the way the the Sam's club in Reading.
Thanks, Violet

Welcome VioletShelby! My brother & his family live in Gilberstville too!

Maybe you saw me?:confused3 Yes I was shopping today with flipflops on! Anyone else amazed how "warm" 30 feels after being near 0??

ok,ok...wearing flipflops ranks right up there with wearing shortsleeve shirts during the winter!!! :scared1: I am ALWAYS cold!! That just freaks me out! Makes me cold just looking at it!

I'm also from Berks....Fleetwood area. Boring? Oh yea, BUT what I like about it here is that it's easy to leave. Within 2 hours I can be in Philly or New York City. Not much to do in my backyard, but there's nothing we can't do just by getting in the car and driving. This occurred to me just recently, that we really take for granted the fact that a lot of people don't have access to the ocean, ski slopes, and major cities by car like we do.

I'm not correcting you or anything, because on the surface it sure seems to be a boring place. It's just that....it could be a lot worse!

:lmao: :lmao: "easy to leave" :lmao: :lmao: Sorry, just sounded funny! However, it is true! I live in Spring Township area of Berks. Yes, you are right, it could be worse!

OnceUponADream....Fern....are you out there?? Fern Fern????? Haven't seen you on here since our DISMeet back in November. Everything ok?? Thanks again for the pins!!!!!!!!

I know....maybe I'll send her a PM.

Hey - did I hear Snuzzles?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Do I sense a "DISmeet" in the planning????? :rolleyes1 :woohoo: Count me in!!

Hi! Wow, You're really close to me! Great to meet you!

What's happening with everyone today. Just chillin out here, actually kind of bored. I should go for a walk, but don't have the energy. It sure is great to see our site with so many people real close to one other.

Everyone must be away from the boards. I got up this morning and had no TV so I thought I would check the boards. Hey, did everyone head to Disney and not tell me. Well everyone have a good day. :flower3:

Hey tiggerfan4me, I'm here! Both kids were up all night Sat. into Sun. with the stomach bug - ugh! Then I worked a long shift yesterday so by the time I got home at 7pm I was running on fumes & ready for bed! Had to be up at 4 to take DH to the airport today too. So hello but I'm crawling back in bed for a little bit!

WOW!! It is a very quiet day here!!! :rolleyes2
Hey Tara, keep hubby adding up those frequent flyer miles!! :rotfl: You can always use another Disney trip! :goodvibes

The 1st thing I ask him now about his trips is "Are you staying at a Sheraton?" to rack up my Swan/Dolphin points! Or a Hilton, those points can be redeemed for MYW park tickets. It's all good!

Hi Mickey88 - my family is from the Erdman, Gratz & Lykens areas of Dauphin County, plus lots more just east in Schuykill & just north in Northumberland. I grew up in the Lehigh Valley but spent every weekend & summers up that way!

I would love to host a local DisMeet, I just figured no one would want to come east this far. We did have a small DisMeet - 3 of us from the thread - in Disney on 11/29. And 3 or 4 of you have come to visit me at work to say hi - that was neat!

I live in Lykens..if you drive down 209 my house would be trhe one with Mickey on the outside and the Mickeymobile parked out front..LOL
