HI Ho! Hi Ho! it's back to WDW I go!! a PTR! *completed*

The last I heard Harry Potter was opening in Late 2009. That was a few months ago that I looked. They have a thread on the Universal part of the DIS.

I read fast too, so fast that I'm out of books currently which is always depressing. :rotfl2: I need to go to the library.

Maybe we could think about a book exchange:confused3 I have boxes of books. I have my faves and fave authors that I won't part with (Left Behind series, Julie Garwood, kathleen Woodiwiss, Eragon series, Twilight series, and Harry Potter...to name a few:rolleyes1 )

Barnes and Noble Loves me:rotfl2:

So did you read Midnite Sun???? If not you should...it's great:goodvibes

Paula

First of all love the Twilight tees...I'm probably the only one who hasn't read all the books yet...I'm in the middle of the 1st one because one of my students insisted I read it and then bought it for me!

Paula I have no doubt that you can make it through Orlando no problem...I loved Sea World both times I went...it was great and I loved the animal shows...of course that just might be the biologist in me LOL!

Forewarning...I'm directionally challenged..so unless we tie a GPS to my backpack I will be of no help to our Marcettes anywhere in Disney World, let alone Orlando!

I was thinking about a book exchange too. I hate to get rid of my books but they are multiplying. I can't even tell you how many boxes of books that I have in storage because they can't fit in our teensy apartment.

I haven't read Midnight Sun yet, I am still hoping it gets released in book form.

Maybe we'll have to have you follow behind with the baby cart...so you don't get lost

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK...I'm done picking on you:goodvibes

SM says it's on her to do list..... but no ETA:headache: It's all good though... I enjoyed reading it online. It's a "draft" though and may differ from the real thing when she gets it out. You just can't appreciate how positively toutured Edward is...via Bella's account in twilight.

I heard that she gave Midnight Sun to Rob Pattinson so he could fully appreciate how tortured Edward is.

Afraid I can't comment on the twilight series books. They've just come in to my radar now but maybe that is because I am a kindergarten teacher. I do a large collection of Franklin and Clifford books though!

I did want to let you know that I used the Lynx buses to go to seaworld in August. I thought I could handle the bus but it turns out that taking it that morning was one of my worst mistakes the whole trip. I'm not saying don't do take the bus-just be informed so you can plan your time better than I did.

We left our hotel room at 8:10 am. We got to Seaworld at 9:55 am. Then we had to cross the parking lot and then we had to wait in a long line at the gate even though we had prepurchased our tickets to get in and then we had to wait in another long line to check in for a 10am tour I had booked. We missed the tour.

But yes, it really does cost $1.75 They have a website that you can find out the times of the buses on. I'm sure you can find it on the transportation board.

You must have the right amount of change. When I took it the machines in the buses the scan the money weren't accepting the new $5 bills. This was a huge hassle and resulted in the bus driving trying to track down old $5 bills or combining groups of people together so as to have totals less than $5 or more than $10. It I hadn't been so frustrated I would have found it comical.

At our two stops there were many groups of people who got on the bus. You know how you get used to taking the bus at disney and everyone just piles on there are no cards to show or money to be paid? Well, it just makes it seem all that much longer taking the public bus system.

Again I'm not saying don't take it-just be informed.

Thanks for your insight Diamond!! I still don't know if I'm going to do it at all. I've used the public busses in my town..they're the same way.:sad2: So it is pretty much what I expected. Since I'm staying at SSR..I'd just walk to DTD to get it...so I'd only have the one stop..but still....

when we go in July, we will have our car (we're taking the AutoTrain) so it would be much more comfortable going then.... I dunno. Maybe I'll take my ticket, just in case I decide while I'm there to go.:confused3

Either way I'm glad to know that someone I know tried it and survived:thumbsup2

Paula

What's AutoTrain? :confused3

The Auto Train is run by Amtrak. It starts in Lorton Virginia (just off the DC beltway) and ends at Sanford Florida (about 45 min north of WDW)

There's no stops, it's direct. You get on the "people" cars, and they put your vehicle in one of the "car" cars.... so it goes with you!!

The train leaves VA at 4pm and arrives at Sanford at 8am the next morning. They feed you on the train, and there's a lounge car where they show movies. It's fun.. a nice way to travel if you don't want to fly... driving 22+ hrs to florida makes me cringe:scared1:

We always travel coach..they have sleeper cars..but they're too expensive for me:rolleyes1 The coach seats are very roomy, recline quite a bit, and have a "recliner" type leg rest. I've never had any trouble sleeping in them!!

The AutoTrain is pretty popular for travelers and especially snowbirds in PA, MD, VA etc. The price is good too.... much cheaper than flying and renting a car. Once all 5 of us + our minivan... cost less than $1K round trip!! Smaller cars are cheaper.

2 BIG bonuses to the Autotrain.... you can take ANYTHING with you...as long as it fits in your car!! No packing problems..or souvie shopping restraints either!! The other thing is Amtrak has an AWESOME cancellation policy! You can get a full refund minus 10% up to 2 hours before your train is to leave if you have to cancel!!! I like that:goodvibes

That sounds really awesome! Especially since I am choking over the price of flights for us this morning. :scared1:

I got my financing papers today!!! My DVC purchase has officially closed!! Woo Hooo!!!! Pour the wine and pass the cheesecake girls!!

I'm so Happy:goodvibes today!!

AND as an unexpected added bonus..... I also recieved, in the mail, today...a check from my mortgage company:dance3: Apparently they overestimated my escrow for the year... so they refunded me $127!!!

I'm saving it for WDW!! I'm gonna buy myself stuff with it:thumbsup2 I don't know what yet...but something(s)!! I may need to go look at those purses in Italy:woohoo:

Paula

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
Yippeee Paula!!!

I'll take you up on the cheesecake and wine!!! I would definitely be celebrating!!!

I somehow missed your post about the auto train! We took it in 05! It was fun! I'm not sure I'd do it again, amybe when the kiddos are bigger. But it was definitely a cool experience!! DS6, who was 2 at the time, has always been fasinated with trains so he was in his glory!!
