Hi from PA! From the Welcome Board

Hi All PAer's & in particular michygoomy- I didn't think anyone up here in the cold & snow understood my 'habit'. WOO HOO nice to see another Erieite.

Hi there! Some weather we've been having, huh? My daughter and I braved the zoo opening yesterday! Brrr!

Mech/Carlisle area people, I need help. Anyone know how to find out info on better public schools? :confused3 We are looking in the 20 mile area of that general location but I am clueless. Any good recommendations?

TIA

South Middleton(Boiling Springs) is where I went to. I think I turned out ok. I work for Cumberland Valley. The high school is where I'm at. It is a good school, although, the high school is huge. The graduating class has to hold commencment at Hershey stadium/Giant Center. There are about 400 kids per graduating class. The website is cvschools dot org.

I hear good things about Camp Hill and of course most of the private schools have excellent reputations. I wish I could have kept my girls in private school.

Camp Hill school has no busses at all. All of the kids from K-12 walk. In the high school there is no cafeteria.

Hello fellow Pennsylvanians!

It's great to see that the PA thread is one of the most active "hello from . . . " threads!

I checked in here a while back but I wanted to update you all that the Keystone state has a finalist in the Dream CMO contest! You can check out my page and vote here .. . . http://www.dreamcmo.com/justin

I live in western PA, my sister lives in Hershey, my cousins live in Wyomissing, and my aunt and uncle live in Reading, AND, my sister-in-law is a student up in Erie, so I think I have someone from my family living near most of you!

Didn't see this thread before! Although I live in Iowa now, except for the travelling we had to do for the Army, I grew up in the Reading area. Laureldale to be exact. I graduated from Muhlenberg High. Anyone else from there?

Wow are you a long way from home LOL.
I live in Sinking Spring, right near Laureldale- actually drive right past there last night. Nice seeing you around the PA boards- does it make you miss PA?

This actually makes me miss PA less. It's nice to be a part of something from home. Makes me feel like I'm still a Pennsylvanian and not so far from home.
Sure enjoy hearing everyone talk about PA. Thanks!

Congrats Justin!!! You have my vote!!!! Wow!!!! I am sending pixie dust and twirling the magical towel just for you.

I'm an NA grad from '97 and my wife teaches at NASH. We live just north of there in Seven Fields (off of 79 and 228).

Now I know who to go to when we're ready to buy our next home!
