Hi from PA! From the Welcome Board

Roll call! How many people are going to the Grove City Disney Outlet store this weekend? Who will be wearing their lime green mickeys?

:lmao: I'm hoping to be there this weekend, not sure which day, depends on the weather (yucky rainy here in Erie ALL day today)

We're thinking of going Sunday, but if it is really nice out we may do an outside activity instead and go next weekend.
Do they get more stufff every week?

Didn't find a ton of stuff, but still got a few good shirts for DD. They did have Buzz,Elizabeth Swann costume(Chinese pirate one) and some generic pirate wench costumes. Big selection of pins also.

thanks for the info:thumbsup2

We went yesterday for our Disney fix. There were a great selection of pins, tons of mickey ears, lots of kids shirts, lots of pirates stuff (too much to mention). Also, something different, they have huge life-size carboard cutouts of characters for sale too. So, if you have a little princess who loves Disney Princesses you can bring one home with you! Sorry, I didn't look to see what kind of prices they had.

We bought a bunch of pins, shirts for DH and myself, some cool mickey photo frames...I think that's it.

Tommy, the guy managing the place is wonderful! He's a Disney nut too, so it was fun talking with him. It was so busy, but he still took the time to chat. If you go make sure you tell him you're a DIS member too.

I'm really hoping that they stay. Right now they will only be there for 6 weeks, but if they get some good reaction (and sell stuff) there is a possibility that they will stay. Tommy is checking out the DIS boards and wants to show positive posts to his boss. Maybe convince them they need to stay....

we went today--lots of different stuff, nice golf shirts for DH. I think it's great they are here, I miss the Disney store at the Mall by me.

I am orig from Pa to. I grew up and went to HS in Latrobe (hence the Rolling Rock name. Except now I cant change it even though I hate that they moved out of Latrobe...anyway that is for another day.) Went to college in central Pa (Huntingdon) before moving to Ohio.

Rolling Rock, what a great tag line. :thumbsup2

What kind of pins did you get? We just started collecting on our last trip in Aug. 07. Still learning the ropes. Right now we are just buying pins with meaning to our trips. For example we joined DVC in Nov. 07 and we have a bunch of DVC pins.

Hi everyone

I'm from PA too - I've lived in Pittsburgh my entire life. Went to Duquesne for college, now I live in South Side & work in Mt. Lebanon! I've been all around the state, so all these places you all are from are familiar to me. Nice to see some fellow PA people here!

What kind of pins did you get?

They had mostly DisneyLand pins there. We just came back from DL a couple of weeks ago so it was fun to find them there and pick them up. So, we got about 4 DL pins, a couple of special Disney Visa pins (hadn't seen these before, they were nice) and assorted others. They've got some Christmas sets too. You would have to see it to believe it! There's a table that I swear is about 8 ft x 20 ft that is just full of boxes of pins! Ok, I really suck at estimating sizes, but it was big... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We've just started with the pins too. Isn't it fun? What we do is buy the sets with 7 pins (like princess babies or some such) that we call "throw away pins". We use these pins to trade with CMs. We have gotten some really, really nice pins. DH has been collecting Hidden Mickeys. I just collect the "pretty ones". Anything with sorcerers apprentice on it! Plus we're DVCers too, so getting the DVC pins are fun

We have met so many very very nice CMs while trading. Spent alot of enjoyable time talking to some very knowledgeable folks!

Have fun with it!

Welcome! Used to drink the RR before it got big! First trip in fact to Manhattan in the 80's I went to a nightclub and all the beer they served was Miller Lite and Rolling Rock!

Hey Thanks, I feel like a new man:cool1:

2...didn't know you were a PA'er...!

Tinkertini...should of had a couple of "tini's" at the game today...I'm in Franklin Park...roots in the SS and lived there for 12 years! Loved it...glad I'm out now though! Welcome.

Hey PA'ers! I posted this a while back, but I wanted to drop you a quick update . . .

I entered the Dream Job contest through Disney and CareerBuilder.com for the position of CMO (Chief Magic Official) After a long process of applications, interviews, and voting, they have narrowed the field down from over 1300 to the top 3. I MADE THE TOP 3!

As a fellow Pennsylvanian - I live just north of Pittsburgh and have family all over the state - I'd love it if you had the time to check out the contest. The next round of voting starts on Monday the 14th at www.dreamcmo.com. I'll be down in WDW the 16th - 22nd competing in various contests which will be taped on posted on that site.

Thanks for your support!
