Hi Folks

The two weeks maybe torture, but it will be soooo worth it. Rest, heal, and may the next 2 weeks pass by in the blink of an eye.

Glad to hear you are doing well. Good luck with your recovery. Two weeks will be over before you know it.:goodvibes

Kevin, I'm glad to hear your surgery was a success. I can't imagine how you are typing messages while laying down flat, though. Maybe you'd better leave off messaging and chatting online for awhile! I recommend listening to Podcasts. Maybe you can get John to download some for you.:disrocks:

Kevin, thanks for taking the time to post and let us know you are doing ok.

Sound like you're going to be in an uncomfortable position for the next couple of weeks. Give new meaning to, "hunker down"! :lmao:

Take Care. Lets us know if there is anything we can do.

Hugs and Kisses to you and John.

Wow, Kevin. You're forced into being a contortionist and still manage to post? I'm impressed.

Hope you have a fast recovery. :flower3:

Great to hear from you, Kevin! Do your best to rest and follow orders!

Still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

~Erika

So glad to hear from you and that everything is going well!! Hope you have a very good recovery. Looking forward to hearing your voice on the Podcast just as soon as you are well.

Kevin, I hope you have a full and speedy recovery. The next two weeks certainly sound like they will be challenging to say the least. I think the massages that were mentioned in an earlier post are a fabulous idea - and well deserved too! Take care of you. We will be here sending loads of love and prayers your way. :grouphug:

Hey Kevin. Im glag that you are doing well. As A Christian who prays daily I took the time out to pray for you. I even told friends at my church to keep you in their prayers. I hope you have a speedy recovery. I miss your sense of hummor. Get well soonpixiedust: :grouphug:

Yeay! Kevin, glad that you are doing well!

This may sound silly, but it may also help with the staying on your stomach during recovery. There are special pillows used during massage for heavier folks and pregnant women that have a space for the belly to lay and provide more support for breathing. They aren't cheap, but are super comphy and may be worth it.
An example is at : http://www.massageking.com/products/Prego-Pillow/Bodys-Kneaded-Prego-Pillow/772/1/1
Mine has been a godsend during pregnancy as I sleep on my stomach and this allows me to do so.

Here's hoping for a quick two weeks!

Kevin,

You know we all love you! I will keep praying for you each day that you will heal up quickly and get better.

BTW, If you are up looking at the floor to keep the air bubble in place, tell the people around you that you dropped something and you are looking for it. At least then you will have an obvious reason why you are walking around looking straight at the floor. :rotfl:

Take care and make John wait on you hand and foot. :thumbsup2

Great to hear from you and that it went well. Those two weeks will fly by for you hopefully and you will be back to normal. Best wishes

Thanks for checking in Kevin. Wow, that sounds like a long recovery. Good luck with laying flat and staying comfortable. It sounds pretty difficult. I was going to post about getting a massage table, but I think someone beat me to it. Hang in there...

Aaaarrrrgh... pirate:

Kevin,

It's good to hear from you.

Just want to send lots of love......

Oh Kevin! I am so glad to hear from you!!!! I thought about you all day yesterday, so glad to hear everything went well!

My mom had the exact same surgery that you did, the buckle, the bubble and even the laser correction.

The laying on your stomach for 2 weeks thing was really really hard, but you have to do it (no cheating!) to ensure that gas bubble lays on the retina to heal it. And you don't want that bubble to shift!

My mom got one of these contraptions to make easier.

You don't buy the equipment, they will send it to you, I think insurance covered it, and then you send it back when you are done. It did make her more comfortable. She would lay across the bed, and hang her head over the edge, rest her head in the contraption and watch DVD's.

Please take care and try not to get too fustrated with the non-stop eyedrops! My mom had an uncomfortable 2 two weeks, but she has her vision and is doing great now!

Thanks for letting us know how you are doing. We look forward to more good news from you in the coming days.

Glad things went well and you are on the mend. When you are up and running around you need to tell us where you want to go for your first post-surgery Disney meal. Where and what are you ordering? Take care of yourself.

Please take good care of yourself and know that you are in our thoughts. :grouphug:

Here's to a quick and full recovery. I'm sure we can entertain you if you get bored over the next two weeks!

Good luck John!

Heidi
